About this property

This is a weekend getaway apartment located just one block from the Lehigh River and fifteen minute walk into historic downtown Jim Thorpe. The apartment is equipped with a queen size bed, a sleeper sofa, gas fireplace (cold months only), basic cable TV, a DVD player, WIFI, new kitchen, rustic living room and new bathroom. There is a shaded brick courtyard in the back to relax outside. The apartment also has original artwork hanging on the walls painted by the owner. Painting reproductions are for sale downtown at the Bear Appetite Cafe and the owners original tee shirts designs for sale at the Mauch Chunk 5 &10 located on Broadway and Horizon Gifts located where Race street and Broadway meet.

Great hideaway in Jim Thorpe

What a great location for exploring the Jim Thorpe area. Our host was very helpful and sent us local suggestions for sightseeing and local dining.

Loved it!!

From start to finish, this was an exceptional Vrbo experience. The host was very informative and friendly. The apartment was very comfortable, clean, and well stocked. Bed was comfortable, towels and linens were good quality and water Pressure was great. Jim Thorpe was an amazing little town with so much to do! From bike riding along the river, touring the Packer mansion, visiting the shops and taking the trolley ride to learn all about the area, we had a great time. The restaurants are fabulous, everything we ate was amazing! I’ve booked many properties through Vrbo, this one rates number one. Thank you, steve, and thank you for the opportunity to purchase your artwork, I love it! Donna

Comfortable, but needs some TLC

I picked this place as part of my son and his brides’ honeymoon. They said it was comfortable and the owner was very nice and helpful. It was, however, a bit dusty and they found a lot of trash and left behind items under beds and such, so it sounds like housekeeping needs to step up their game a bit. Their only other concern was that the bedroom door didn’t lock properly and the only exit in the event of an emergency was the front door because the bed and bath had no easily accessible windows.

Great little Getaway!

Quiet street & just a short walk into historic Jim Thorpe. Great communication with host & apartment looked just as pictured. Will stay here again when in the area.

Lovely

Steven is an unbelievable wonderful host! We have been staying at his place now for three winters for skiing! It is perfectly located and even cooler than the pictures show! However, just as our trip approached our whole crew caught the bug and we’re unable to go! Steve was so accommodating, kind and supper accessible for communication! I would recommend him and his place over and over to anyone!
