Superb 14th Century Historic House with 2 large bedrooms sleeps 6 guests

14th century house in the centre of the medieval village of Saint Cyprien in the heart of the Dordogne valley in the charming Place des Oies for self-catering holiday rental. Completely renovated to an exceedingly high standard. Very spacious with 270m2 of living space over 3 floors. Sleeps six very comfortably with two double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. There are a total of 2 King size beds and one double bed. The top floor bedroom has 2 beds and the middle floor has one.

Ground floor: Oak fully-equipped fitted kitchen with inglenook fireplace and 5 burner gas hob, dishwasher and wood burner. Dining room with terracotta tiled floor.

First floor: Spacious and light lounge area, wood burner. Double bedroom with en suite bathroom. Large wooden balcony stretching length of the house.

Second floor: Double bedroom with en suite bathroom. Wooden staircases. Washing machine.

Situated just 50 meters from center of village with bakery, butchers, cafes, bars, restaurants, art galleries, Sunday market and all amenities. 1 km from Dordogne river. 45 mins Bergerac airport LONG TERM LETS BY ARRANGEMENT

The Tourist information office is just 2 minutes from the house. All the major tourist attractions are very close by including Domme, Beynac the Caves at Les Ezies Sarlat Castle Naud and many many more!
The market day is Sunday when there are several stalls selling gifts and local produce

We were really looking forward to this wonderful and well renovated old house. Unfortunately it was totally neglected and poorly cleaned. In the kitchen all surfaces were sticky, also in the cupboards and drawers it was not clean, also some of the dishes and the fridge. Most of the closets had tools, dirty rags, cleaning products, broken stuff lying around, they smelled bad like the whole house. The bed linen was broken in one bed, the terrace wasn't swept. Sorry, this is not aceptable.

Un séjour en Périgord noir à St Cyprien

Bien que le bâtiment date du XIVème siècle et est en parfait état, il n'est pas meublé pour recevoir des vacanciers. Bien qu'il y ait 2 chambres lit double, celle du 1er étage est bien meublée et offre un confort (fraîcheur et aération idéale). La chambre du 2ème, sous les combles, manque cruellement de mobilier suffisant pour le linge. La 5ème personne quant à elle dort sur un lit de camp (OK pour un jeune enfant). L'été , avec des températures élevées, il fait trop chaud sous les combles. Le mobilier de la maison est très beau mais ne donne pas une note chaleureuse à ce logement, trop grand et meubles anciens. Par contre lave-vaiselle et lave linge équipent cette location. La situation est idéale bien que située dans la vieille ville de St Cyprien. Malgré cela, nos vacances ont été réussies.

Thank you for your review. To clarify the top floor bedroom has 4 opening windows and there are 2 fans in the house so adequate ventilation. . There are two king size beds and a single fold up bed. It is not a camp bed.

Très belle maison parfaitement conforme aux photos. Bien équipée, on n'y manque de rien. À noter: télévision avec chaînes anglaises uniquement et pas de wifi.

We love the character of this stone built traditional hosue and enjoy drinks on the balcony. The house is in a calm area close to all amenities

The stone building keeps the house cooler in the summer months. There is also an air conditioning unit on the 2nd floor.
