This is a beautiful and charming bright 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of the hustle and bustle of popular Stockbridge Village, known as the City Village and one of Edinburgh's most sought after addresses only a 10-15 min stroll from Princes Street. It is a beautifully renovated bright flat with tasteful finishing’s retaining all the charm of the Georgian era as well as a cosy living flame fire, working shutters, original art work and rugs adding to the many comforts making it a perfect home for a short stay. Even the acclaimed Stockbridge Restaurant and old classics such as the Antiquary and Baillie are quite literally on your doorstep. The apartment is located on famous St Stephen Street, just above Mr Purves’s Old lamp shop in a two storey B listed Georgian building

This turned out to be a perfect choice for our stay in Edinburgh. The location is wonderful with delightful shops, great restaurants (and pubs) and the fun Sunday market steps away. The owner made everything easy and welcomed us with fresh fruit and flowers. Lovely.

This is a spacious, 2 bedroom apartment in Stockbridge, a quiet neighborhood about an extra 10 minutes from the crowds of the castle area. Note that there are 3 flights of stairs to climb to the unit. The apartment is sunny and comfortable, and the nearby pubs and restaurants were great - no need to leave the neighborhood! Loved the little gas fireplace. Laura was a kind and helpful host, and thoughtful enough to provide coffee, tea, fruit and a bag of crisps for us. Would happily stay there again when in Edinburgh.

The place was great. The second bedroom is a little smaller to fit more than one suitcase but that was the only slight inconvenience. The location is fabulous. Walkable to anything except maybe old town and right next to the bus stop for when you’d like to use that. Laura’s helpful and kind. I’d stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay overall. The location was absolutely perfect - Stockbridge is a charming neighborhood, and it was easy to walk to great restaurants, shops, and attractions while still enjoying a quieter atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always responded very quickly whenever we had a question, which we really appreciated.The only downsides for us were the lack of air conditioning and the beds. We happened to visit during a warmer stretch of weather, so the apartment became quite stuffy. The mattress also seemed well worn. We could feel the springs and it sagged towards the center, making it difficult to get a comfortable nights sleep.Despite those issues, we enjoyed our stay and are grateful to the hosts for their hospitality. The excellent location and responsive hosts made it a great base for exploring Edinburgh.

Beautiful flat in central location

A wonderful trip

We travelled with our 2 teenage children (14 and 17) to Edinburgh and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Laura’s. Communication and checkin were excellent. Stockbridge is a fabulous place to stay. Easy to walk everywhere and gorgeous pubs/restaurants all around. We would definitely return.
