YOU GOTTA CHECK THIS OUT! THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL VACATION RENTAL. IT IS A HIGH END HOME! DON'T BE PUT OFF BY THE BEDROOM COUNT! There are 4 sleeping areas.PLEASE READ ON for the full description. Missed Winter? Don't miss Summer! It is so quiet and peaceful. Want the absolute finest and won't compromise? This is the real deal! THE PICTURES DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE! REALLY!
It is a high end custom home with so many unique features you won't find elsewhere. If you are looking for impeccable craftsmanship and something really different that is 5 star quality and a cut above all the rest, you've found it! This is the very best! Hand built by the owner with materials from around the world, this 3500 square feet home sits on 4 manicured acres. It features pines and a huge grove of Aspen trees bathed in a sea of wildflowers (when in season). And we have a pond just outside the dining room!
This is not a kid friendly house and we try very hard to make it top notch. We have to limit the number of quests due to septic restrictions. It IS the finest place to stay for adults and older children. Absolutely no pets to maintain the pristine condition.
Water feature? In the front yard and viewable from the dining room is a seasonal stream that cascades over a 400 ton rock waterfall. This provides drinking water for the wildlife that gathers here. Wildlife? On any given day you could see DEER, ELK, BEAR, BOBCAT, RACCOON, RABBIT,SQUIRREL, COYOTE and our resident WILD TURKEYS, all frequently drinking. In the past we even had Condors! With 9 skylights, there is plenty of natural illumination and the massive walls make the home a refuge of solitude.
Log accents and vaulted ceilings abound. The upper level features a vaulted entry through an oversize handmade mesquite door, living room with wood stove, kitchen with dual fuel range, microwave oven, dishwasher, enormous garden window, and distressed hickory cabinets. Of course, almost every kitchen appliance and utensil you could want is there, too. Decks: There are two, one in the front and back. The rear deck overlooks the area where the Mountain Man Rendezvous scene from 'Centennial" was filmed.
At night, relax and watch the canopy of stars in the velvet sky. Want entertainment? Enjoy the Home Theater: Not a TV with a few speakers, this is a dedicated 5.1 channel audiophile room with high end equipment, acoustically tuned, and recliner chairs for 3. In addition there are 2 additional chairs to move around for extra people. The sound quality easily exceeds commercial theaters.
Kitchen: Just about every imaginable appliance and tool you need is there. Propane gas grill is outside on the front deck.
Bedrooms: All have luxurious high end mattresses and the finest bedding.
The master suite has a king bed facing the stone gas powered fireplace, and a wall of mirrors covering the walk-in closet. The master bath is a wonder of stone imported from Greece, India, Mexico, Italy, Brazil and Tennessee with a rock wall on one side. A vessel sink is framed by two antler sconces which tie in to all the other light fixtures in the home. This room is also accessible from the front deck.
Down the beetle-killed pine spiral stairs to the lower level and you'll find a tiled tour-de-force full bath, a smaller bedroom with a trundle bed, and an open luxurious Cal King Royal Pedic Latex Cloud bed suite with a huge stone fireplace fronted by a solid copper grille, complete with its own TV. Off in its own room is another King pillowtop bed and leather massage chair, ready to ease those stiff muscles from a day of hiking. All bedrooms except trundle room have tv's.
Work it out! There is a mirrored exercise room complete with home gym, bicycle on magnetic track stand, dumbbells and a bench!
Sit out on the porch at night and watch the moon through the quaking leaves of the aspen trees. Solitude, yet only 4 miles from downtown Estes Park. Rest your body and your mind.
Hiking: Just out the door and up the road to the National Forest, 1 1/2 miles to RNMP, or take the short 4 mile hike to downtown Estes Park. It's easy going but uphill all the way back. Dining: Some of the best dining is close by, and you don't have to fight the traffic to get there. There is a door to the master suite but the wall is open across the top. This is an open plan and the privacy comes from being the only bedroom upstairs.
Please Note: Absolutely no tobacco products of any kind and we request you leave your shoes in the entryway. There are plenty of slippers for your use. Sorry, no pets of any kind, and children TWELVE and over due to the exceptional high end finish and safety issues. Please ask if you might have an exception. We are also limited to 6 people total as this is on a septic system and this is a county regulation However, for the ultimate luxury stay that exceeds high end hotels, and for those that appreciate and can take care of a fine home, this property has no peer. Read the reviews and rest assured that it will exceed your expectations and is much more impressive than the photos convey. No one is ever disappointed.
Disclosure: There is a Ring doorbell on the front porch aimed at the driveway, another camera looking to the street, and a Ring security light/camera at the rear door aimed down the hill. These are only occasionally looked at to check weather mainly in the winter to monitor snow levels.

Plenty of space to spread out and relax. Well decorated and close to estes park. With one car, we were able to use Uber and hiking shuttle to get into park, so car was accessible to those who stayed in town.
This property was absolutely magical and exceeded all expectations! Probably the best place we’ve ever stayed on vacation. It was very clean and inviting and the location provides the most beautiful and breathtaking views. We saw plenty of deer, ground squirrels, chipmunks, birds, turkeys, and even a bear!! Such an amazing home - it made our vacation that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend!!

I am so glad you liked it. It was a pleasure to have you stay with me.
Excellent location, easy access to shopping and attractions. Elk, deer, turkey and Chipmunk all seen on the property. Being from the hot, humid south we were surprised to discover that there was no air conditioning, they used a hole house fan system which was inadequate on the 80 afternoons. The area downstairs was our salvation when we were there in the afternoons.

Thank you so much for the review. This has been the hottest and driest summer in the last 128 years. Normally we do not see this kind of heat until mid September and then for less than a week with humidity often in the single digits. That is why there is no AC. But I am glad the lower level was cool.
Property was very clean and top notch. Check in process was very easy. Property manager was great, was always available if needed. Would recommend this property. Very private and comfortable.
Perfect for our family. Clean and roomy. Everyone had their own space to spread out. The location was perfect for driving into RMNP and back into the Boulder area when we had to be at the fields. Definitely recommend this property and would stay again in the future.

Sleeps like it’s a 3 to 4 bedroom! Very comfortable and feel right home from the minute he step in and grab the slippers provided for you! Michael was an excellent host
This is the second year in a row that we have rented this cabin for our Estes Park get away. Amazing cabin in an equally spectacular setting! Will be back next year without a doubt.
We have stayed at this property multiple times during our annual trips to Estes Park. Never fails to meet expectations. Beautiful home in an amazing mountain setting. Wild turkey and elk are a bonus!

Thanks again for coming back. It was so good to meet you and your wonderful family. The turkeys keep asking why you left.
This was the perfect place for our weekend away with Family. We wanted a peaceful and quiet cabin outside of town and this delivered. The cabin is beautiful and the details and care given to make sure we were comfortable were amazing. We loved being greeted by the turkeys every morning and it was fun to walk around the property. Mike is an amazing host!th!

Thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you can come back.
Great Host! Michael was attentive and helpful at every turn, even recommending restaurants and places to visit. WIldlife all around. He even provided feed for the many turkeys that came to beg for food and visit every day. They were often waiting for us when we came out the front door. Home offers every amenity that you can imagine. Stay here!
The accommodations were absolutely perfect! The home was immaculate and beautiful - ten stars instead of five. You will not be disappointed! The host is great and recommended a hike that turned out to be one of our favorites.

Thanks for the kind comments. It was so nice to have you stay here and I am glad the hike was fun for you.
Our time at the cabin was great. The cabin did not disappoint. One of the most impressive things was that the owner was ALWAYS available to help resolve any questions about the cabin. The location was convenient to town but very private and plenty of wildlife. We have very fond memories after our stay at Little Valley.

Many extras included in this property. Updated finishes, clean, beautiful home. Quiet and secluded, yet not far from town and the RMNP. We had a wonderful stay. Our host Mike was very personable and always offered to assist in any way.

About the host
Hosted by Mike Bryant
This was my personal home for 16 years, and it is built, by me, around the original little log cabin. Materials and techniques were used that were the first in Estes Valley, and some are still in that category. Incredibly energy efficient and quieter than any home in town (with the doors and windows closed). I had a lot of fun with the tile and stone. This is a unique property and unlike anything you are used to. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did building it. And since it was my primary residence, it is filled with personal property that makes it a home, not just a vacation rental. You will feel the difference.
My parents brought me to Colorado for the summers starting when I was 3 months old and I finally moved here in 1990. I worked on the house off and on for 12 years to get it to its present state. I love researching technical manuals and applied a lot of cutting edge techniques to this house. Now that I have moved back to Estes Park after 18 years in California I can be your full time host and keep fine tuning the property as I add more amenities each year to make it better and better.
Why they chose this property
There really is nothing like this in the area. It is unique, but the anal attention to detail is what sets it apart. If you look closely, you will see the effort, from the tile work to the circular stairs, which were made from trees on property I own. It is so quiet and peaceful, yet close to town. And the stars at night! Lots of animals go through the yard, and stop to drink. Can't beat it. The location lured me in. At the time there were only 12 families living in Little Valley and the setting is so nice and so private.with the aspen trees and running stream.
What makes this property unique
Close enough to town but isolated among most of the aspen trees in Little Valley the spring fed stream and hillside provides lots of flowers, cover for wildlife, solitude, and awesome sky views at night. Hiking is right out the front door and there is never a day without some kind of wildlife paying a visit. Surround theater with 70" screen and a gym in the lower level makes this the complete retreat after a day of hiking. Sore muscles? Relax in the massage chair and get revitalized! Better beds, better linens, better towels, and a full kitchen just makes a motel room kind of pathetic, doesn't it?
