The location is very convenient for us because it is near the tourist attractions we wanted to go. Very affordable, the house was able to accomodate us all (6) no need for separate booking. Clean and cozy, it has a kitchen and grill.
Overall nice stay, older style of home which isn’t a negative just different. Yard was a little deceiving from pictures to actual, but we were able to be out in it much due to the weather. Very close to downtown (gas, coffee, markets).
The property was just as described. It was great for us as a central place to see while we visited Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monument. And Custer is a nice little town to visit.

This was the perfect spot.walking distance to the town. Close to Mount Rushmore and Custer State park. Great patio for grilling
We loved this property! Nice place, very clean and neighborhood is quiet. Grounds well kept and house was very comfortable! We would love to atay here again on our next trip to the Hills!
We loved that the woods behind the place filled up with deer at dawn and dusk, and yet it was a short walk to downtown Custer where you must eat at the Custer Wolf if you haven't yet!
We had an excellent stay here. The house is in a perfect location in the cute town of Custer. And it was a great launching pad for all sorts of activities in the Black Hills. The house was very clean, very cozy, and communication with the owners was simple & timely. Icing on the cake was watching the deer from the driveway in the evenings.
We enjoyed the central location for our adventures in the Black Hills. The property was clean and the kitchen was stocked with the essentials. We spotted deer from the windows several times.
Extremely clean, and well kept home. Very peaceful setting, and a wonderful place to come back to at the end of the day. Deer resting in the yard, and wandering in the neighborhood. Walking distance to downtown Custer. Perfect place for a weekend, or a longer stay!
This house was very centrally located to where we wanted to visit. It was nice to have space for our family of 6 to come back to after a day of adventures. Having a kitchen was wonderful to make a vacation with a family of our size affordable. The game room was great for building family memories and our children ranging from 12 down to 4 all enjoyed it.
Excellent location when traveling to Mount Rushmore. Quiet neighborhood. We saw deer every day on the property. Great little town and we could easily find all we needed.
Great accomodations close to Black Hills attractions
The house was spacious and clean and offered everything we needed for our family of 5. Being located just outside of Custer State Park it was a quick and easy drive to Sylvan lake and numerous hiking trails. Lenorr was easily reachable and responded quickly to my messages. Thank you for a great stay
The home was a few blocks outside of town, making it a nice private and quiet location and yet an easy walk to town. Both bedrooms were large; the house had a warm, cabin feel; the only downside was no washer/dryer - but we loved our stay in Custer!

About the host

My husband works in the area and I am a stay at home mom raising our five children. I enjoy spending time in Custer State Park hiking with my family, riding bike on the Mickelson Trail, and the quiet peacefulness the area has to offer. There is so much to do and see regardless of your interests.
Why they chose this property
We purchased the property to have a home away from home for our five children. We currently live in the Custer area and wanted a home in town to accommodate school activities. The property has the appeal of being in a country setting but only a few blocks from downtown Custer.
What makes this property unique
The cabin like appeal. The knotty pine and hard wood floors throughout the house made us feel right at home. The yard is also fairly private with a lot of mature trees offering shade. Deer frequent the yard quite often.
