This cabin was in a great location. It was clean and had all the things we needed. We loved the fireplace and used it every night. The hosts were quick to respond to our texts and gave us great recommendations on places to eat, shop and visit. The welcome goodies was a nice touch. We would love to stay here again!
Location, location. Just outside of Custer this place was an excellent place to stay for enjoying the many attractions, Mount Rushmore, Custer State park, Needles and Iron Mountain highways. The cabin was clean, safe and very comfortable. We enjoyed the deck at the end of s busy day of touring.
Excellent location near Custer Park. Enjoyed several excellent hikes while visiting. Nice kitchen and supplies with very responsive hosts and tasty banana bread. Only complaint was the bed, we are not memory foam mattress lovers and got very little sleep. Location close to local grocery store for supplies as well as great restaurants. Enjoyed burgers at the brewery and excellent food at the Begging Burro.
Very clean cabin, in a quiet location. Easy to get to, and very convenient if you are planning on visiting Custer State Park. Highly recommend staying here. Would stay here again, should we choose to visit Custer State Park again.
I loved this place! Beautiful setting, everything you need for a weekend or an extended stay. The bake goods that were left for us was a pleasant surprise.
I had a wonderful stay at this cozy, peaceful cabin. It is tucked away enough to be quiet, yet it is close to Custer and various attractions to be very convenient. Great communication from the hosts, and I had a fantastic stay! I would be thrilled to come back in the future!
Frank & Cheryl were great hosts and cabin was perfect for us. Beautiful location, close to town plus it was in the pines. Very clean, well stocked, matress was great. Delicious home made goodies greeted us on arrival. We highly recommend this cabin.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay! The cabin is beautifully decorated, cozy, and there was plenty of room. The hosts, Cheryl and Frank, were super easy to contact. We found home made goodies on the table! We would stay again, and highly recommend this cabin. The location is perfect.

This cabin was so cute; clean and very well equip. The view was excellent and we saw deer each day; they supplied the firewood so we could have a fire.
The only down fall was the noise of the traffic...on the other side of the cabin but we ignore that as much as possible.
Would stay here again..
It was our first time visiting South Dakota. This little cabin had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay, and Cheryl & Frank were very responsive to our questions. We walked in to find a basket of freshly baked goodies; such a nice touch. We were greeted by 3 white tail deer our first evening there. It was the perfect location for our visits to Custer St. Park, Mt. Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial. We highly recommend this well cared for cabin in a lovely wooded location. It is peaceful and quiet, and we loved sitting on the deck listening to the sounds of nature. Oh and that mattress.....SO COMFORTABLE!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Clean but not comfortable
Pros: clean, usable kitchen, outdoor Weber grill, good access to Custer and surrounding attractions.
Cons: uncomfortable seating, poor lighting for sitting to read, hard memory foam bed (still not a fan of memory foam), fixed 'Smart TV' difficult to see, use or find anything to watch; tiny shower (w/ no place to set soap, shampoo, etc), road noise.
Conclusion: well intentioned, but not comfortable - would not recommend.
I marked 5 stars for communication with the property manager, but we actually never had any face to face contact with them. Only communication was online via VRBO. We were quite pleased with the cabin, the only thing we didn't care for was the noise from the highway that was close to us. I do believe the king bed had a memory foam mattress but I just didn't sleep well on it. Absolutely loved that it was a king bed!!!! We have king beds in every bedroom in our home and wouldn't have anything less. Beautiful kitchen area and stocked with all the essentials. Especially liked the ice trays were filled and frozen and ready for use upon our arrival to unwind with a little cocktail. We had nice outdoor seating and really for the most part we had a lot of privacy. The other 2 cabins/homes beside the property we stayed in, the people were very friendly. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, a very nice getaway for our 45th wedding anniversary.
Great location, clean, cozy, comfortable. For people that do own cooking a few essentials are missing. Comfortable bed and surroundings. Thoughtful touches as hostess made homemade bread and bars. Fire pit and outdoor seating awesome.
Beautiful little getaway for a couple! We would love to come back some day! Had a turkey family come visit us and got to watch the deer in the back yard bed down. Great location. We are sad to leave
My husband and I absolutely loved the cabin. So cute and clean. Everything we needed so we could eat there. Close to all of the Custer Park things we wanted to do. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay again.
