The house was lovely very clean well equipped and cosy parking at the front
Large bedroom and very large ensuite bathroom
We were staying to visit friends and family as we live in france
The owner also let us bring our dog which was great
Lovely walks around the area too
We found Lancaster Cottage an excellent base for visiting relatives. Exceptionally clean. We really appreciated their being everything we needed to make a cup of tea on arrival, including delicious biscuits.
Beautiful cottage and extemly spacious. Located close to the main road in Bamber Bridge near all the local bars and shops. There is a fantastic park for the children within the complex that my little boy loved. The host was great and very accomodating. Will considering.
Everything you could hope for in a little cottage. The log fire was what sold me and it was a real treat. Only problem was I couldn’t find any fire pokers or tongs. Would definitely recommend.
Great location for visiting the north west coast and Lake District.
Property as shown and described except the fridge had been moved into the living area which looks very out of place.
If you plan to cook then take a few cooking utensils. Property has plenty of cutlery and sharp knives, pots and pans but lacking things like a potato masher, wooden spoons. Also only has a griddle type frying pan so couldn’t do eggs for breakfast etc.
Fantastic bedroom with queen size bed. Sleep really well. Bathroom as shown, bath only with shower head but no way to have an actual shower.
Still very much enjoyed or stay and would stay again.
Location is good, leisure centre across the other side of car park. Lovely park to walk your dog. Very quite location.
Property it's self just needs a bit of tlc.
A really beautiful quaint cottage which has been tastefully decorated to meet modern needs. The location is quite unique but is perfect to access the motorway. Parking is not a problem as you park in the leisure centre car park in front of the cottage. The host is very attentive and responsive and is just next door. The front garden area (stones) is small but helpful if your dogs want to have a stretch - massive green available as well but best to keep the dogs on lead as the leisure centre is very busy. The sitting area has a mix of shabby chic and modern furniture with an impressive fireplace/stove in the corner. The bedroom upstairs is massive and the bathroom has a beautiful French bath. Really enjoyed our stay.
We stayed at the property whilst visiting family in Bamber Bridge. The cottage has all you need, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed. Parking outside never an issue. Good communication from the host. Ideally located for us. Nice and quiet at night time. Property was very clean. Great stay overall.
We enjoyed our stay in Lancaster Cottage. Everything was clean and tidy, with a few little extras like biscuits, tea and Coffee. We would definitely stay again.
Apple Tree Cottage is situated in the garden of the owners property. Lovely modern kitchen beautifully decorated. The bathroom was situated on the ground floor with shower cubicle, a very small sink and toilet. On the first floor is the lounge which is very spacious with a cornet sofa and chair, TV. 2 Bedrooms which you could have 2 single beds or 2 large super king beds. Sandra the owner was very friendly and allowed us to park inside the property. Our 2 dogs loved the big garden. My only criticism is that the shower was pretty poor and the property has electric gates which is great safety feature but there should be a 2nd key fob for guests as there was a few occasions when I couldn't get out and had to ask for them to be open.

Great for what I wanted and that was to visit friends.
Only thing it could do with is a couple of small tables to put you drunk on when your relaxing. The owner was very friendly and didn’t bother you. It’s also great for the dogs.

lovely Cottage
Lovely spacious cottage. Well furnished and very cozy. Would have enjoyed a little garden at the back to be able to let my dog out without worrying about her getting out into the car park. Although there was a gate I felt unable to let her out without standing watching in such a much used public place.. plenty of walks to take her but useful to be able to just open the door .without concern. Thank you for a very pleasant short break

Gorgeous quirky cottage
What a lovely time myself and my family had spending Christmas in Lancaster Cottage! The landlady is amazing and was there to meet and greet us. She had even provided some necessities for making a cup of tea or coffee which was very welcomed. The cottage was very clean and homely and the kitchen was well equipped. If I was to make one small suggestion it would be to consider installing a washing machine for ease! The location of the cottage allows for ample parking and having that huge park at the back was amazing for my kids! I couldn't fault this property and Sandra is the perfect host! I would definitely recommend this property as it is close to Bamber Bridge high street (10/15 min walk) near train stations and motorway links, close to the leisure centre and park (1 min walk) and Sandra provides a comprehensive welcome pack with local hospitals, things to do and take away menu's!! Thank you so much for a pleasant stay!

Curious cottage in unusual location
A curious cottage in an unusual location (in the leisure centre car park - plenty of parking available). Beds comfortable, bathroom enormous although hand-held shower difficult to control. But all went well and we and our small dog enjoyed the birthday party weekend.

About the host
Hosted by Sandra
little old me grew up mainly in Lancashire but travelled around a bit due to my dads work, my title would be manager but a better description would be 'general sort out everything manager' in a bar & restaurant with a little bit of property lettings. I strive to make things better - so I am open to comments to improve.
Why they chose this property
Fabulous cottage which I lived in for many years - I love its features the original 1907 stone stair case to the high beamed vaulted ceilings but it has a contemporary feel to it. I had fitted a unusual large french cast iron bath which is a luxury in itself, a new cream log burner has just been fitted and is a focal point to the open plan living area. Gas central heating throughout with instant hot water combination boiler.
What makes this property unique
5 minutes to the motorway networks, M6, M61 & M65 - 1 min walk to gym, pool and childrens play area.
