Charming Converted Five Bedroom Surrey Barn

Our charming converted Barn is located within the 300 acre estate of Burningfold Manor between the country villages of Dunsfold and Plaistow, 12 miles south of Guildford, Surrey. An hour by car from London or 45 min from our local station to Waterloo and within easy reach of the seaside resort of Brighton.

This spacious five-bedroom barn comprises of 4 super king bedrooms and 1 double bedroom with 3 ensuites, 1 bathroom and 1 w/c. A contemporary, country style kitchen comes complete with American fridge freezer, double range cooker and breakfast bar. Adjacent, the open plan lounge / dining area is the perfect place for entertaining and enjoys French doors leading out to the patio . A seperate snug with Smart TV, bookcase and armchair is located down the entrance hall, where there is also a separate utility with washing machine and tumble dryer and a separate W/C. There is also a single garage used for storage, extensive secure parking and a garden with patio and lawns which overlook panoramic views of the Surrey countryside.
Guest access

Although the property is fully equipped for self catering purposes we do use a 3rd party caterer who can provide anything from delicious home cooked food to store in the freezer to catering for a full-blown dinner party. We will be happy to review these options for you at an additional cost.

With local easy access to the popular Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Racing, and Cowdray Polo Club and their events, as well as several popular wedding venues this makes the Barn a very attractive place to stay with family and friends during these exciting times.

Lovely spacious home!

Beautiful house set in a lovely surrounding. Loads of space throughout the house and good amenities. It was our first time cooking on an aga but a lot more simple than we had imagined it would be! Jessica was very helpful arranging everything for us too. We hope to come again!

Get place to set up Base

We rented this place as a base during the Lacrosse World Cup at Guildford. The commute to Guildford was about 30 minutes which was not too long. During the days when not watching Lacrosse we went sight seeing, this place made it a get place to stay whilst visiting local attractions. The Barn was lovely and cosy, bigger than image and we had acres and acres of land to wonder and walk during our stay. The rooms were large and spacious and the garden was wonderful. It was such a pleasure staying here and each morning seeing different variety of birds settling outside the window was a delight. My family and I had such a wonderful time here we will definitely come back again.

Gorgeous Property

Wonderful, accommodating host. Beautiful house and grounds, many old trees. Lovely bedrooms, more than one sitting room, modern kitchen, and good laundry facilities. A little hard to find, goes for Uber also.

Stunning property with great style

This barn was an amazing place to spend time in. Spacious and beautifully appointed it is a gem of a find. We had my son’s family with young grandchildren and because there are two distinct living spaces there was plenty of room for us all. The place was comfortably warm and full of delightful water colour paintings. The owners live in the manor house next door and are on hand if needed. There are some great pubs nearby as well as some National Trust properties. The Sculpture Park is a must see, especially if there are children. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this property.

A beautiful spacious barn with a cozy feel - super relaxing!

We had a lovely time in the spacious yet cozy barn. The house was very well equipped - we could find everything we needed to feel at home. Due to the rainy weather we had to stay inside for most of our time but enjoyed the lovely AGA cooker - not only to prepare delicious meals - but also to keep warm. Thank you very much to the hosts for the warm welcome at the barn. We hope to come back soon.

A fabulous place to stay

Burningfold Barn is a stunning barn conversion set in its own pretty garden. A lovely place with views across open countryside. Beautifully appointed. My family used Jessica and Richard's property as a base for our daughter's wedding which was taking place nearby. It was absolutely perfect. Sparklingly clean with lovely linen. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with china, glasses, pots and pans. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Such a beautiful stay!

We have had a most peaceful and lovely stay in Burningfold Barn. Richard and Jessica could not have been more helpful and both the house and the grounds were beyond beautiful. The house is so spacious and the kitchen perfect for entertaining. Would highly recommend.

Please note this review is of "Paddockside 5", not the Barn.

Paddockside 5 is a nicely converted former stable. It is very comfortable and generally well equipped (the only items of note that were missing were a teapot and an ironing board and iron). The 3 bedrooms all have very nice en-suites, so nice that three adult couples did not have to share bathroom facilities. It is in a lovely area, which we were delighted to discover (a real bit of "old England"). Our hosts Jessica and Richard made us very welcome.

A full of character, spacious property refurbished to a high standard in a lovely rural setting.

We booked the Barn for a family birthday celebration weekend for six adults and a "bump". We were amazed at how spacious the accommodation is and the quality of the conversion works that have been carried out. The property occupies a wonderful setting in rural Surrey with views of the Surrey Hills and plenty of country walks which if the weather had been better we would have taken full advantage of. However the attractions of the Barn itself more than made up for this. The only reason that we have not given five stars is because on the weekend in question there were issues with the internet service which Richard and Jessica tried hard to resolve. If they are able to iron these out then it would be perfect.

What a spacious, comfortable home in wonderful surroundings

We rented the Barn for ourselves and family guests for our daughter's wedding nearby. It was exactly what we wanted, clean comfortable and well equipped and we all had our own space. The grounds and surrounding countryside were England at it's best, especially as the sun shone all day for the wedding. It was so much more than that though and has added to our memories of this very special occasion.
