An Oasis In Busy and Beautiful Budapest!

This comfortable and tasteful apartment is located inside a beautiful old building facing a quiet courtyard. Tall ceilings and windows, Da Vinci prints, ample greenery, and old world marble staircases create a pleasing atmosphere. Stefano was friendly and professional, and the many welcome details inside the apartment were appreciated!

We had a pleasant stay overall, the location is handy and check‑in was straightforward, but a few details need attention:The floors hadn’t been properly cleaned, after a short walk our socks were noticeably dirty.The sofa is quite small and lacks support, so it’s uncomfortable for relaxing or watching TV.Around 1 AM the gas alarm began beeping continuously, and we ultimately had to remove the batteries to silence it and get back to our sleep.

Great Apartment And An Even Better Location

My wife and I work together on the road, so we need some extra elbow room for long stays (12 nights in Budapest). This apartment was excellent because: . Responsive host who is a good communicator. . Dead quiet, day or night. . Good AC (we had 95-degree days) . Two bathrooms . Two work areas (desk in bedroom & dining table . Walkable to almost everything . Good kitchen plus a washing machine. Would definitely stay again.

Gem of an apartment in a great location

This is a beautifully designed and finished apartment in a funky old building. Well equipped with everything you need. Big bright windows facing an interior courtyard. Absolutely silent in the apartment despite its location on a busy street. Huge closets with lots of hangers. Comfortable bed. Don’t let the somewhat scary building entrance put you off, once you are inside it’s a different situation. Detailed instructions on every aspect of the apartment from the host. Easy self check in and out. Located right in the core of central Pest, Easy walking distance to many attractions and restaurants.

Budapest visit for a month vacation

We had planned a visit to Budapest for quite some time, trying to work around COVID. Visiting in Oct 2022 was much easier to navigate as most COVID requirements had been eliminated. The property is represented accurately and met our needs perfectly. The self check-in/check out process was easy/convenient. It is centrally located, near the Metro and other public transportation. It is clean, quiet, safe, well furnished, with a good bed, linens, lots of storage, updated bathrooms, laundry (washer only), good items in the kitchen for cooking/eating in if you want to do that. It is surrounded by lots of excellent restaurants, historical places, and you are able to walk to anything need. The grocery store (x 2), pharmacy, banks are all close by. Stefano (host manager) is exceptional. He is responsive to any issues you may have and works hard to make your stay an enjoyable one. While we had to shorten our stay, due to personal medical issues, we would return to Budapest in a heartbeat. We really loved the city and its' people/culture/history. We would definitely book this apt again. Val and Jeff D

Great Location well insulated from Street noise.

Perfect location with many shops and attractions well within walking distance. Any transit connections I needed during my stay were also extremely close. The apartment was located on a major street that crosses the river on an easily recognizable bridge so I would always know how to get back. Once inside building you are completely isolated from any sort of street noise. You could have been in the countryside. Sometimes it was surprising to exit the building and be in the heart of Budapest with all that was going on in a major city. I stayed for 28 days so it was important for me to not feel like I was in a Hotel room. Some days I would just fiddle around like I was at home and the extra space made me feel much more relaxed. The Host Stefano was great. I just spoke English to him and had absolutely no difficulty. I didn’t require too much from him I just requested an extra cleaning during my stay and he was very accommodating to my schedule for a very reasonable price. It was the perfect apartment for me for my stay. Wi-Fi was as good as my house in San Francisco and that was also important to me.

Beautiful Stay

The property was very nice and comfortable! We stayed here for a month and enjoyed every minute of our trip! We actually rented two apartments, with my parents staying in one and my husband and I staying in another. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here for an extended time. If there was something we needed or a question we had, either Luca or Stefano were more than willing to help us out. The location was great, the metro and buses were close. There were several good restaurants and shops within walking distance. I highly recommend Ruben Etterem on Magyar U., great food at good prices! The Gerloczy has a great breakfast and is right around the corner. There are way too many to name. We can't wait to go back!! WE LOVE BUDAPEST!!

Perfect Vacation Rental Property

This is very comfortable apartment in an ideal location. Communication regarding booking and access was quick and efficient. The building is quiet on a busy street and perfectly situated to great cafes, restaurants, shops and tourist sites. Walking to the Buda side is a breeze with direct access to the bridge. The metro is very close but we didn't even use it because Budapest is such a walkable city. The train station is also nearby, about a 25 minute walk, quick metro or a 5-7 minute cab ride. The apartment has a great layout with plenty of room in the living space to relax and take a meal. Loved the high ceilings as well for an added spacious feel. The 1.5 bathrooms is a perk too! Since we were visiting in January we were greatful for a wonderful warm place to return to after being out and about in the cold. Great water pressure for a hot shower, plenty of closet space and full length mirrors. The bed is decent and there are plenty additional bedding options. The pillows are down so beware they are on the softer side if you tend toward a firmer option. The kitchen has all the updgraded features and was efficient to cook in. We loved our stay here and would definitely stay again.

the property is good for max 4 persons- parents and children who are ok with sleeping together. we had some issues with radiators in whole flat , and used air conditioning instead of heaters. you shoul provide more linens , because there is only two full linenss for 4 persons- it is not enough .

Wonderful stay!

Location: The apartment on Kossuth Lajos Street, 2 blocks from the Elizabeth Bridge. The 100 E from the airport stopped 2 blocks from the apartment. (Astoria stop) We were within walking distance of many fine restaurants and many sights. We even walked to the Parliament and the Castle Hill. Apartment: We were met by the owner's nephew when we arrived. The apartment is on a very busy street, but the windows face an inner court. We heard no noise. The apartment was clean and beautifully appointed. It has no dryer, but the clothes dried well on the clothes rack provided. The owner and his nephew, Giovanni were attentive to our needs and very nice.

Lovely apartment in prime location along with excellent customer service - highly recommended!!

We enjoyed our stay in the two apartments we rented for 8 people for six nights The apartments are lovely, spacious and very clean. There is a well-equipped kitchen with complimentary coffee. Both the dishwasher and the washer were very user-friendly. The location is excellent: this beautiful building is located on the Pest side, only a few minutes walk away from the Nagyvasarcsarnok, Vorosmarty Ter, Deak Ter. Erzsebet-hid and Ferenciek Tere subway station are around the corner. It is about 10 minutes away from Szent Istvan Bazilika,, about 20 minutes from Lanchid and 30 from the Parlament. We will be sure to return to Dreher Palace again in the future, but in the interim will highly recommend it to anyone interested. Perfect for a week's visit to Budapest.

Located just at the Pest end of the Elizabeth bridge the apartment is ideally located to access all parts of the old city center. Whilst most of the sights are within easy walking distance, even for two geriatrics, two of the Metro line stations, M3 and M2, a major bus stop, a tram stop and a river boat dock are all in the immediate vicinity. All Budapest transport facilities are free for 65+ travelers and no authorization procedure or document is required other than a picture ID with date of birth. Similarly entry to museums is also free on the same age basis. The apartment itself is a very secure, although we had the strong impression that there is little crime in the city compared to just about any Western European capital- perhaps attributable to the homogeneous composition of the population. Located on the second floor of a baroque palace- really an apartment block with an inner courtyard- it is accessed by lift or stairs and entered through a small vestibule which it shares with another apartment owned by the same person. It has been recently renovated and furnished in a modern minimalist style, and is air conditioned. The layout comprises a large en suite bedroom with massive storage, a comfortable lounge/ dining area with an attached powder room and a small but very well designed and fully equipped kitchen, which we used only for breakfast as Budapest has a plethora of restaurants of all types with excellent food and wine at very reasonable prices. Services include cable TV , which we did not use, and very fast and stable wi fi broadband. The property manager ,Stefano, arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport, was at the apartment to greet us and could not have been more helpful or informative. In all we can thoroughly recommend this unit for a couple ( plus two small children would not be a problem) for a visit to this delightful city, similar in character to Vienna, Prague and Bratislava, all former centers of the Austrian Hungarian empire which reached it's baroque zenith in their late 1800s berore collapsing in the aftermath of World War One.

Wunderbarer Urlaub

Wir waren Anfang Mai zu zweit eine Woche GĂ€ste der schönen Ferienwohnung von Stefano. Seit Buchung bestand ein netter Kontakt . Er hat immer sehr schnell geantwortet. Auch die Taxivorbestellung ĂŒber Stefano fĂŒr die Anreise verlief problemlos und perfekt. Es ist sehr beeindruckend wie die Wohnung in dem alten Haus wunderbar restauriert und modern eingerichtet wurde. Sie liegt sehr zentral, nahe der Vaci Utca und der ElisabethbrĂŒcke. In unmittelbarer NĂ€he befinden sich SupermĂ€rkte und Banken. Aber dennoch kann man nachts gut schlafen, da die Wohnung im Innenhof liegt und der VerkehrslĂ€rm nicht durchdringt. Die Wohnung ist ein ausgezeichneter Ausgangspunkt, um alle SehenswĂŒrdigkeiten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir möchten uns besonders bei Luca bedanken, der uns herzlich empfangen hat. Er hat uns anhand einer Karte viele Tipps gegeben was man sich ansehen sollte. Wir haben seinen Rat befolgt und wurden nicht enttĂ€uscht. Bei Fragen hat Luca immer sehr schnell per WhatsApp geantwortet. Wir wurden ausgezeichnet betreut. Auch die RĂŒckfahrt per Taxi zum Flughafen hat wieder reibungslos geklappt. Die Wohnung verfĂŒgt ĂŒber eine gute Grundausstattung in KĂŒche und Bad. Es ist alles vorhanden von Toilettenpapier ĂŒber Handseife, Duschbad, HaarwĂ€sche und GewĂŒrze sowie Öl in der KĂŒche. Man sollte vor dem Einkaufen erst mal in die SchrĂ€nke schauen. Die Wohnung hat ein gutes Preis-LeistungsverhĂ€ltnis. Wir empfehlen diese und Budapest auf jeden Fall weiter und kommen gerne wieder.
