Located only an hour north of San Francisco in beautiful Sonoma County, Fallen Tree Ranch offers all who visit, a peaceful retreat from the hectic hustle and bustle of every-day life.

Enjoy all the comforts of being home. Relax in the 6 person sauna, soak in the hot tub and enjoy a swim in the pool. If you prefer to be more active, the Sebastopol Golf Course is a two minute walk away, through the redwoods and valley oaks that encircle our property.

The expansive back patio has stunning views. Meandering pathways lead to the discovery of a natural play ground, complete with an incredible climbing structure gifted to us by an old fallen oak. This natural living bridge spans the seasonal brook which flows alongside the neighboring golf course. Fruit trees, vegetable and herb gardens offer seasonal delights for guests.

Wineries abound and in minutes, you can walk between the pristine vineyards down the frontage road next to the house and find two of the finest tasting rooms in the area. The stunning rugged beauty of Northern California's coastline is only 20 minutes away, with some of the finest restaurants, shopping centers and artist colonies within the same distance.

No matter what you are looking for in your Wine Country get-a-way, it can all be found at Fallen Tree Ranch. Here, beauty and relaxation come to you and if you want to explore the area, you need not go far.

Know Before You Book

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Fallen Tree Ranch is 10. Quiet hours are from 9:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Daytime Guests: Fallen Tree Ranch can allow up to 6 additional daytime guests over the maximum occupancy, making it a great choice for mid-day get-togethers. For more information, please email us or give us a call.

Parking: - On-site parking is permitted for a maximum of 4 vehicles. RVs, trailers, and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance. The private road is narrow in spots - please drive very slowly - heeding to the speed limit, and slow or stop for pedestrians, farm equipment, and winery/neighborhood dogs.

Pool Temperature: The swimming pool is heated by solar. During the summer months, the pool is typically around 75 degrees and will stay fairly warm through September. Off-Season Rates are significantly lower when the pool is not heated, so take advantage to rent this wonderful family home at a discount!

Pool House Bedroom: The pool house is a separate structure, with its own bedroom and attached bathroom. This is where the sauna is located.

Heat Source: Central zoned heating, electric heater in pool room. Fireplace is decorative only.

Work from HERE: A built-in desk along the extra wide hallway between the living room and kitchen/breakfast table is an easy spot to keep an eye on what's going on - or reach for snacks.

Weddings: We receive frequent requests for weddings at Fallen Tree Ranch. Although we can't allow large events at the home, Vine Hill House, a country property that does host events, is just a mile and a half down the road. Fallen Tree Ranch has accommodated a number of brides, grooms and their families who rent Vine Hill House for their special day.

Longer Stays: From October-April, Fallen Tree Ranch is available for longer stays at a reduced rate. For stays 30 nights or longer, guests are subject to a more rigorous screening process, including credit and background checks. The transient occupancy tax does not apply to stays 30 nights or longer. Monthly rate does not include all utilities. If you would like to rent 30 nights or more at Fallen Tree Ranch, please inquire.

FAMILY reunion

We liked the property very much, it was just as advertised on the vrbo site. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor amenities like the garden with fresh herbs and veggies and the fruit trees and blackberries. The kitchen was reasonably spacious and we definitely enjoyed having two dishwashers. Would like to come back again sometime.

This property was spectacular! We celebrated my wife's 40th birthday with a small group of friends. The pool/spa and backyard patio were beautiful and made for a great space for my guests to lounge and converse. The kitchen and dining room had plenty of space so that no one felt crowded. And each bedroom was comfortable, quiet, and well kept. We would definitely like to stay here again one day. Highly recommend!

On Sunday morning there was grape harvest activity adjancent to the property. The group arrived about 7:20 in the morning and were talking very loud next to the red barn on the property waking everyone up!

The house was perfect for us. Well stocked with everything we needed. Beautiful location in the middle of vineyards. Pool and outside deck is where we spent most of our time. Beds were super comfortable! We would definitely rent this house again.

I cannot say enough great things about the house, the amenities, and the responsiveness. We came to visit with friends, and were so impressed by the place. It has an actually well appointed kitchen (so rare in rentals!), a huge field for exploring, comfortable beds, and more. Can't wait to come back!

Amazing Location and Place!

This house surpassed all expectations! We stayed there for a girls weekend (50+ year old women) and it was perfect! Pictures accurately represent everything, so there were no surprises. Ellen and team are super responsive and answered every single question we had very quickly! As other reviews mention, the kitchen is insanely well stocked, which is so nice in a VRBO! You won't be disappointed.

Bachelorette Weekend

I rented the home for my sister in laws Bachelorette Weekend. The home was beautiful! Everyone was very impressed with how nice the furnishings were. The kitchen was well stocked with basic cooking supplies. The pool and spa area was clean and well maintained. The location of the property is off the beaten path but close enough to get to everything with a short drive. Wineries, dining and grocery are within 15 minutes. I couldn't have chosen a more perfect location for our weekend! Recommended for: Girls Getaway, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway My Response Thank you for your review. 25th Birthday

Our group of 7 enjoyed our stay in Sebastopol to celebrate our daughter’s 25th birthday in wine country. We visited many wonderful wineries during our stay and DRNK was a surprise backyard neighbor. Highly recommend! Communication with the property owner/manager was excellent. Instructions and access to the house were clear and easy to follow. The property had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and the beds were super comfortable. The only unsatisfactory comments made by several of my guests relates to the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Attention to detail should be addressed with the cleaning company to ensure all surfaces are dusted for cobwebs and spiders, as well as cleaning of light fixtures with trapped insects, especially when we are being charged for cleaning.

Do yourself a favor stay away from this horrible place absolutely disgusting everything it's like they took the pictures 30 years ago and didn't clean the house ever since They lie about everything that we supposed to had in the house the pool was disgusting not clean the pool house was stink ain't nobody could sleep there so one of the guy's head to sleep on the couch the hot tub again not clean disgusting and actually I'm talking only about the hot tub itself because there wasn't any water inside Inside the house there is ants everywhere from the kitchen to the rooms to the showers I actually showered my son that he's two years old and he had dead ants on his body ‏the water is wide the system that the sewer is underneath so the water head a ‏this casting horrible smell the whole house in general was very dusty again like they didn't clean the house for 30 years ‏bed bugs on the window when I called to complain the manager yell at me that I can go and buy a bug trap ridiculous I asked them several times to give me a call so we can talk about what's happened there until today they didn't give me a call but they do the full amount course and also they took a fee that they not supposed to and wasn't on the plan So why the hell we stay there for two nights that's because ‏we live 2 hours away and have little kids so imagine the trouble that we had to go through they ruined our Christmas horrible people Stay away stay away They deserve - Stars not even one disgusting

Doesn't get better than this!

This property has more than you could ever need. It was perfect for our family holiday as the kitchen is well stocked with appliances and dinnerware. We loved exploring the grounds and were even able to swim in the pool during moderate November days! Plus we walked to the winery next door for a private tasting. The management team is incredibly easy and accommodating to work with so don't delay in booking your vacation at Fallen Tree Ranch!

Beautiful setting for a special family event

Our family stayed for a long week-end, celebrating my son's wedding at a nearby winery. We hosted a rehearsal picnic on Friday night; our guests were thrilled by the spectacular setting. The home and grounds were very comfortable and well supplied.

Rehearsal Dinner and Hang Out

This was a perfect place to host a rehearsal dinner. The view was incredible and the accommodations outstanding. I brought some of my own stuff but the place had everything I needed to host. The kids played in the pool or soccer in the pasture. Fun was had by all. After the wedding on Saturday at a local wedding venue we even got together for a BBQ and dinner the day after and enjoyed the deck. I even got to sneek in some golf at the 9 hole that sets against the pasture. What a wonderful treat. Definitely going to do this again. Laurie and Allison were helpful and cool. Wish I had more time to spend and enjoy the beautiful surrounding winery's.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

We came up to Fallen Tree for a wine tasting weekend with 7 ladies. The house was beautiful and the weather couldn't have been better. They had left some cheese and crackers and other snacks for us with clear instructions on how to use all the wonderful amenities. We ran into a little bit of trouble with the hot tub, but Laurie and Allison were more than helpful trying to get it back up. Fallen Tree is in a great vicinity to The beautiful Russian River Valley wineries and we were so happy to come home and use the pool and BBQ and enjoy the open yard. I can't wait to find another weekend to come spend at Fallen Tree!

Fun weekend with the girls in Russian River wine country!

Idyllic location surrounded by vineyards outside Sebastopol, and an easy drive to the areas along the river further north. 6 of us stayed there to celebrate a bachelorette, and it was perfect for us... we could have squeezed in some more gals too. We definitely took advantage of the pool, hot tub & sauna and cooked dinner and breakfast in the big kitchen. Laurie, the property manager, is so lovely and helpful. I definitely recommend for a group of ladies or a big family.

In 1980, D&G founders and owners Michael and Patty saw a need in the area for habitable, affordable housing. At that time, many of the little cabins along the Russian River, originally built as summer cabins, were unsuitable for year-round occupancy. D&G assisted property owners with fixing up and renting their cabins. As the largest property management company in western Sonoma County, D&G Equity Management continues to be a staple in the Russian River community.

Russian River Vacation Homes is an off-shoot of D&G. One fine day in 1985, Michael's client, Bob, asked "Hey Mike, can you rent my cabin out just for the week or weekend instead of by the month?" Michael said "Sure!" and Russian River Vacation Homes was born. As renting vacation rentals became more popular, Russian River Vacation Homes grew into a full-time business with its own office. Today, Russian River Vacation Homes professionally manages over 60 high-quality vacation rentals.
