The Waterwheel Apartment, Charlestown, is situated within a designated World Heritage Site and is only 500 metres from the harbour. The two-bedroomed apartment is contemporary and spacious, able to comfortably accommodate up to four people (plus an infant). The accommodation itself offers a high modern standard of comfort, has unlimited Wifi and a 60" Smart TV. There is a smaller Smart TV in bedroom one and a TV in bedroom two. There is a well equipped kitchen which includes essentials such as a dishwasher, washer/drier and fridge/freezer. The apartment is on the ground floor sheltered by its own enclosed garden, making it suitable for children, playing games, BBQs and relaxing in the sunshine! There is one designated parking space in front of the apartment, in addition, there is further off street parking and on street parking available close by.
Charlestown is perfectly situated for exploring the whole of Cornwall. The world famous Eden Project is only 3 miles away. The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the picturesque villages of Mevagissey and Fowey are only a 15 minute drive away. Attractions such as The Tate St Ives, the wonderful St Michael's Mount, Land's End and the National Maritime Museum are easily visited within a day. Meanwhile the family friendly, sheltered beaches of St Austell Bay are on the doorstep and the surf resort of Newquay is an uncongested 14 mile drive. The Waterwheel Apartment itself is within a 100m of the Mevagissey - St Austell - Fowey bus stops which provide a frequent service throughout the year and is less than 2 miles from the main line railway station. Charlestown is a beautiful, idyllic, unspoiled, historic port, on the south coast of Cornwall and has recently featured in the TV series Poldark. Charlestown has three pubs and several restaurants catering for a variety of tastes and pockets. For outdoor enthusiasts there are several excellent walks, including the coastal footpath, cycle routes and water sports. Bikes and kayaks can be hired locally. The Owners have left an Information Folder to help you plan your stay.
Charlestown is an idyllic harbourside village with its tall ships, pebbled beaches and numerous eating places. Visit The Shipwreck Centre to learn about the fascinating local history or potter around the numerous gift shops. There are two 24-hour supermarkets within a mile of the apartment and the mainline railway station in St Austell has good connections within Cornwall.
Cornwall is renowned for its breathtaking coastline and has many attractions to explore. There are many beautiful beaches on the south coast like Porthpean, Pentewan, Caerhayes and Polkerris. Oh perhaps you prefer the dramatic coastline of the north coast with surfing beaches at Watergate Bay, Perranporth and Newquay. Enjoy a day trip to Land's End for some of the most spectacular scenery in Cornwall. There are plenty of award-winning restaurants to choose from. Try Jamie Oliver's restaurant, Fifteen, at Watergate Bay, Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant at Padstow or Nathan Outlaw's restaurant at Rock which has been awarded two Michelin stars.

We live less than a mile from Charlestown, in Carlyon Bay. We have both lived in the area for most of our lives. We enjoy meeting people from all over the world and love to travelling when we can.

Close to the very unique harbour of Charlestown with its pubs, restaurants, pop up eateries, two beaches and shops. A great place to visit and enjoy this stunning village with its sailing boats moored along the old harbour. This World Heritage Site is a treat not to be missed!
