This condo is located on gorgeous Whitney Beach, at the north end of the barrier island Longboat Key. It is a ground floor unit with easy access to the pristine white beach and pool area. No stairs - just step right outside. Very beautiful and peaceful.

This lovely 1 BR condo offers a spacious living room, kitchen, a master bedroom, a large bathroom and washer/dryer. The master bedroom has a queen bed. Free wireless high speed Internet, TV, and cable. There is a TV in the living room and another TV in the bedroom. Linens and towels are provided. This roomy condo is 1 300 sq. ft. or 120 m2. It has a private patio which overlooks the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The long white sandy beach is just steps away. Chaise lounge chairs available for your convenience. There is a heated pool and tennis/pickle ball courts. Beautiful grounds with tiki huts, barbeque and shuffle board. Bike path along the entire length of Longboat Key. Close by you have Bay front park with open play pickle ball courts.

Great restaurants and shopping nearby. Across the street you'll find Whitney plaza. A quaint little plaza with several places to eat, a bar, a liquor store, a hair salon, a 24 h gym, pilates studio, a kayak and stand up paddle board rental, a design gift store, and more.

The barrier isle Longboat Key has been voted one of North America’s top islands by Condé Nast Traveler’s readers. Whitney Beach is located on the north end of the island.

Approximately 15-30 minutes from downtown Sarasota and the famous St. Armand’s Circle with restaurants, shopping and culture.

Great spot

This property was perfect for us oldies. We enjoyed the pool and the beach a lot, and were also happy to have 2 TV's so we could each choose our favorite shows. The kitchen is well equipped and the grocery stores are nearby. There are also lots of dining possibilities nearby. We were happy to have the laundry there as well, so we didn't have to bring too many clothes.

Perfect Solo Destination

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the condo! I decided very last minute to book the unit and work from there (I'm working from home during the COVID crisis) and it was the perfect place to do just that. Jenny is extremely easy to work with and communicate with when needing anything or with any questions. The location cannot be beat and is literally steps from the beach (nice to wake up to a view of the beach every morning!). The unit is equipped with anything and everything you need. My only two "less than five star" comments are 1) the unit was clean but I had to vacuum the first day upon arrival after finding long hair(s) throughout the condo which wasn't a great welcome and 2) the wifi situation isn't quite ideal as the internet router is in the adjacent condo unit which is owned by Jenny. While not her fault at all, the internet did go out probably 5-6 times during my stay which wasn't ideal considering I was working from the unit and on conference calls and webinars all day long. Each time, I had to go next door and reset the router which wouldn't have seemed like such a task had the router been in this actual unit. That being said, however, I would absolutely return and rent the condo again!!! I enjoyed the stay and hope to be back in the future.

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful place. Quietly not overwhelmed with people. A bit like in a dream. If you are looking for recreation, this is the right place for you.

Fabulous Beach Stay

We cannot say enough positive feedback for our stay at Whitney Beach condo. The owner, Jenny, was very responsive. The condo was clean and had all necessities for our stay. It was right on the beach with easy walk out back sliders to beach and pool. Fabulous soft white sand with lots of shells. Easy access to market, restaurants, and shopping. Definitely will stay here again!

Im April 2019 haben wir 15 Tage in diesem traumhaften Appartement verbracht.Ein absolutes Paradies direkt am Strand gelegen, spektakuläre Sonnenuntergänge inklusive.Das Appartement ist außerordentlich gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr sauber.Der Weg nach Sarasota zum Einkaufen oder in ein Restaurant ist nur kurz. Loved being on the beach, with amazing sunsets. Long walks on the beach, collecting sea shells.

This was the perfect place for my husband, who uses a rolling walker. Easy access in and out of condo and the large walk-in shower. Condo does need some "TLC" to make it more of a beach vacation rental experience. Have addressed these issues with owner and hopefully new updated photos will be posted on VRBO website. We hope to stay again next January and February 2020.

Sun, beach and shell hunting!

My husband and I - we are from Sweden - wanted to get away from the late autumn cold and rain, and boy did we get what we wished for! A sunny 85 degrees almost every day! The condo is fresh, well equipped and ideally situated at the beach, inviting you to leisurely strolls in the mornings and perhaps some shell hunting. It has a lovely private patio where you can sunbathe, eat and watch the sunset. The surrounding area is quiet and restful and its still only minutes away to shops and to the quaint town of Sarasota with its full range of cultural events.

Great place on Beautiful Longboat Key

We had a wonderful stay! The beach is beautiful and the grounds are lovely! The condo has everything you need including a spectacular view! Sunsets were magnificent. The condo was very clean, comfortable and well equipped (including beach chairs and beach towels). The beach and pool area was very peaceful and relaxing. There are excellent restaurants and shopping nearby ... great location! We will be returning next year!
