The home on Winchester Street was beautiful, clean and in a quiet residential neighborhood yet within walking distance to the Buckingham Palace area and Victoria Station. There were also shops and restaurants nearby. The management company was very responsive to any issues with the property. The only downsides were the back garden was a little overgrown and there was no hot tub as was listed in the amenities. Overall this home was an excellent choice for our vacation in London.

Dear Mary Ann
Thank you for sharing this feedback with us!
Unfortunately, a recent update to the VRBO website incorrectly changed the bathtub mentioned on our listing to a “hot tub,” and we sincerely regret any confusion this may have caused. We’ve raised this with the VRBO support team and will also ensure the garden is properly attended to.
On behalf of the Ivy team, it was an absolute pleasure hosting you, and we do hope to welcome you back in the near future.
Best wishes,
The Ivy Team
This charming flat in Pimlico was a delight. Although not air-conditioned, it was spacious and well-furnished. The best part was the proactive communication with the owner, who made every effort to meet our needs and make us feel at home. We felt taken care of while staying here.

Perfect location, so nice to have a fully stocked kitchen so we did not have to eat out every meal. Furniture and decor a little outdated, but very clean.
We enjoyed our stay. Key pick up was a short walk to the flat. Rooms were clean and perfect for our family of 4. It was a great place to rest and recharge after a big day of touring the city. Thank you!
We came to London for the holidays and my birthday. It was our first time in London. We loved this location. Very close to bus lines and Victoria Station for the trains. The flat was homie and comfortable. We would stay here again!
Overall a nice place to stay! But if you want to be closer to typical sightseeing London this is a bit far. Otherwise it’s clean & spacious for family of 4.
The flat was everything we could have asked for. It was just perfect for our family's stay in London. The hosts were communicative and the flat was well appointed. Highly recommend!
Our family really enjoyed our week long stay at this property. The home was very nice and a great place to relax after a busy day. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice and recently updated. The neighborhood was quiet which we liked. 10-15 minute walk to the tube so easy to get anywhere. The management team was very responsive to our questions before and during our stay. We would stay here again and recommend this property.
This property is located in a great neighborhood, convenient to Victoria Station, grocery shopping and even a number of visitor attractions. The unit is very well appointed and the property manager is very accessible and easy to work with. Just a couple of qualifying points - the bathrooms and bedrooms are downstairs, so people who are uncomfortable with a flight of stairs should carefully consider whether this is the right property for them. Also, while the furnishings in the living room are dated, everything is clean, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are very nicely done. This is an excellent place to use as your base of operations for a nice stay in London.

Great place in Pimlico. The property management company is great. Guy was great and helped fix the washer. Comfortable beds. Brand new bathrooms with fantastic showers. Thank you!
We loved the home away from home in London!
The neighbourhood was quiet but at the same time close to some good local restaurants and easy access to Victoria tube station allowing us to get around easily. If you like to walk it is also a good location for seeing a good portion of the sites which are less than 30 min walk.
Beds were super comfortable and the toiletries package was a thoughtful touch. The key pick up was also very convenient.
Winchester Street was a delightful place for our 5 night stay over Christmas. The apartment is as described and was very clean. The two bathrooms were particularly good including a large deep bath which was perfect after a long day of walking. Pimlico is fairly easy walking distance to all major attractions or the apartment is a 5-10 minute easy walk to Victoria station.
Loved this flat! A quiet neighborhood, but a quick walk to everywhere - shopping, restaurants, train/tube station. The flat was clean, warm, and cozy. We didn’t cook, so the small kitchen was perfectly adequate for breakfast, etc. The bathrooms were great. Very good water pressure and lots of hot water! Dining table was perfect for laptops and working area. A few minor caveats: no electrical plugs in bathrooms for hair dryers; the vinyl tile in the kitchen was loose (almost tripped a couple of times); the living room furniture was on the lower end of the comfort scale; and the king-sized bed was actually an American queen-size (but we knew that would probably be the case - not our first trip to the UK/EU.) But overall, the flat was great!! Thanks!
We stayed at Guy’s place for 8 days in Sept 2023 (four adults). Kudos to Guy and the property managers for quickly addressing an early issue with the flat, their concern and fast response set the tone for the entire week.
The flat is large, comfortable and exactly as pictured. Kitchen is well equipped, and the bed (at least in the master) was very comfortable. Both bathrooms are large and modern, with plenty of hot water and great pressure (charge your razor of use the hair dryer elsewhere, as there is no electric in either).
Relaxing in the living room after a full day of London activities was a welcome end to each day.
A few things to note… downstairs was a bit musty, and the windows were painted shut and couldn’t be opened. A small fan helped considerably. The back garden was overgrown and had no chairs, so it wasn’t something we could take advantage of. And lastly we were there during a rare UK heat wave, and the indoor temperatures reflected that (very warm!).
But otherwise, the location is unbeatable, with both Victoria Station or Sloan Square a short walk away. Easy access to the entire city.
I would definitely consider booking this apartment again next time we visit.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Apartment was good, check-in very difficult
The property is on two floors. The bedrooms and bathrooms are in the basement, just below ground level with a rather steep stairs. The bedrooms were large enough and the bathrooms were excellent with ample hot water. Kitchen was small but well equipped. The living room and dining room were large. Neighborhood was quiet.
The only problem was with the Management Company, Ivy. Because we arrived after Business hours, we had to go to a different house about 10 minutes walk away, find the keypad and retrieve the keys. We knew we would be late and they offered to meet us for an additional fee. The keys were not labeled. So, it was difficult to know which keys fit which locks. When we finally got in, the instructions about the keys were in the house manual. We had trouble figuring out how to increase the heat in the house and so I contacted the management company during the hours they indicated for email in the manual. But nobody replied. We finally figured out the heating system but the manual was no help. In short, our discomfort was not with the apartment but with the management company.
The apartment is in Pimlico, a quiet residential neighborhood close to two underground stations (Victoria and Pimlico), is also easy walking distance to theBuckingham Palace area, many restaurants and shops. It quickly felt like home to be there. The apt is large, on two floors, the kitchen is well-appointed, the beds comfortable. There’s even a small courtyard belonging to the apt. When the hair dryer didn’t work, the very helpful management had one delivered immediately. We highly recommend this home away from home!
Awesome Quiet Retreat in the Heart of Central London
This is a fabulous property! The location is ideal being in a quiet residential neighborhood that is a 10 minute walk to Victoria underground station. After a couple of days we figured out we can take the C10 bus to Victoria from the stop only 1 block away. And we walked to Buckingham in 20 minutes for Changing of the Guard.
We stayed here with our 2 children which was perfect with a master bedroom and the second bedroom with 2 beds. And both bathrooms were nice, although the master bath is a little tight and the lighting is challenging.
The kitchen is stocked with enough items to make meals (a nice full grocery is only a 5 minute walk and there are plenty of bags in the flat to use for carrying your purchases). The combined washer/dryer was great as it allowed us to pack a lot less clothing.
We had good weather (not too hot), but there is no aircon, so it was a bit warm. But we knew that when we booked and the fans provided in the 2 bedrooms helped a bit. The nights were cool, but with no screens on the windows we were a bit worried to sleep with them open.
The private patio looked pretty in the pictures, but in reality it was difficult to use as the birds were quite busy making a mess. I cleaned the table intending to use it for dinner, but within 15 minutes it was dirty again. I might suggest the owners invest in an umbrella for the table.
The property management was absolutely terrific! Very professional and accommodating. Since our flight arrived early they were able to accommodate us dropping our bags so we could enjoy London on day 1 and return later when the cleaning was complete.
All in all, this flat was exactly as advertised and was a great place for our family. Highly recommended!
