The cottage was perfect in every way and the hosts were available as and when needed, very accommodating. My family and I had a wonderful 3 night stay, feeling very comfortable, safe and happy. My border collie also enjoyed his holiday and the enclosed garden was perfect for him. We will be booking again.
It was a lovely Cottage in a beautiful location. Incredible views all around. The host was great, left a small welcome pack and supported us very well. Thank you
Great location and fantastic views.Excellent facilities, we didn't need to ask for anything as it's all there. We found it Ideal for out and about or just relaxing, watching the sun set.
Perfect views, beautifully clean and attention to detail 2nd to none. The narrow lane up from the main road was challenging for Australian visitors but once there you couldn't find a better place to stay.
Short 3 day stay but could have stayed for a lot longer. Beautiful location, watching the sunset over the sea was a particular highlightHosts could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend and will be back in the future
The cottage had everything we needed for a family of four. We loved watching the sunset every evening. The location was great for exploring the local area.

Peaceful location near Snowdonia with a beautiful view
My partner and I stayed for 4 nights and loved it! It was a good location for exploring the castles in Northern Wales as well as Snowdonia National Park. It rained part of our trip but we were able to watch two beautiful sunsets from the house and walk by the sheep farms that are all around. The hosts were great with communication and making sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend for a peaceful stay.
We wanted somewhere rural and quiet and the location of Play Hafod was a pleasant surprise when we arrived. The cottage and garden are immaculately maintained with everything needed for any length of stay. Warm and cosy on wet days and amazing views and sunsets in good weather. Very well located for short journeys into the Llyn peninsula or Snowdonia but tempting to get back early to the cottage and enjoy the view and facilities provided. Some good walks from the front door.

Fantastic little cottage with wonderful garden and views
Wonderful old cottage up on a hill with magnificent views of the valley below and the coast! We took our dog for a little New Year walking holiday and we loved the place. Has everything you need including a lovely roaring fire, the bedrooms warm and cosy. The kitchen had everything we needed. Great location for exploring Snowdonia and the north Wales coastline. The owners were very communicative and attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommended!

Thank you for your kind words! Glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and hopefully we can welcome you back again soon x
We had a cosy time in this cottage, which was good as the weather was pretty rubbish. We couldn't enjoy the lovely views until late each day as we were envelopped in thick fog. However, it was a perfect hideaway and we enjoyed the log fire. Plenty of exploring in the area but you need a sturdy car to get about!
Really beautifully presented cottage. Warm, cosy and very clean. Extremely well presented and equipped.
First class host!
We were a bit surprised to find that there was a very tall tv mast close by but you couldn’t see it from the property.
Beautiful cottage, spectacular scenery (when the weather is clear) Our weather wasn't great (storm Katherine!!) so low cloud obscured the view in the mornings. Gorgeous location, we met the hosts and they are lovely. Lots of places to visit. I have mobility issues otherwise a walk up on the hills would have been wonderful. Very well equipped and we would definitely come back.

Thank you for your kind review! Glad you enjpyed your stay! Hope we can welcome you back again at some point in the future x
We come to Wales once a year to disconnect from our busy lives, and this little cottage was absolutely perfect for that. It feels beautifully isolated, in the best possible way, peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by stunning views you can enjoy right from the kitchen patio doors or while relaxing in the garden. The garden itself is fully secure, which was ideal for our dog, Archie, who loved having the space to roam safely. The cottage has everything you could possibly need, and everything is so thoughtfully put together. All the amenities are easy to use and clearly set up, which made our stay so relaxing. It’s clear the hosts have put real care into making sure guests feel comfortable and supported. They were available if we needed anything but also gave us complete privacy, which we really appreciated.Little touches like guides, maps, and books about the local area were such a bonus, they helped us plan our days out and discover new spots nearby. It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place that’s been built around the needs of people who want to truly enjoy a few days in Wales. Outstanding stay, we’ll definitely be back next year!
Booked the cottage for a long New Year weekend and hoped it would be good. Everything about the cottage was above our expectations. Hosts fantastic communications and welcome, property stunning location, property totally fantastic facilities and utterly spotless, great little welcome pack, superb location for Snowdonia, Criccieth, Pwllheli, Carnarvon. To be honest did not need a trip out log burner on, views of the bays utterly great. You may guess we really loved this place and would 100% suggest you try it.

Thank you ! Hope to be able to welcome you back soon to Plas Hafod ! x
The cottage was well laid out and very clean in a fantastic location. On arrival the owner had a bag of rubbish to pick up from property as we turned up a little early. This was no problem and we were made very welcome with reassurance if we needed anything it would be dealt with quickly. A small welcome package was a very nice touch and with the sunsets and star gazing being some of the best we have seen it won't be long before we go back again. Thank you for such a fantastic break away.
Thank you very much for these perfect holidays in your lovely cottage!

We had a fantastic 4 nights at Plas Hafod. The cottage is beautifully remote yet easy to find with Siwsan’s expert directions! The property itself was immaculately clean and well appointed and we immediately felt at ease, even Ted our 3 year old terrier loved it! The garden is secure and he enjoyed exploring it while we took in the jaw dropping views. The welcome hamper was a lovely surprise and kept us going with treats for the duration of our stay! Great walks on the doorstep and so much to do and see within half an hour’s drive. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone thinking of staying in the foothills of Snowdonia. We’re already checking diaries to see when we can return! Thank you Siwsan and Neil!
