Stunning cottage with everything we needed. It's our second stay here and would definitely come again. So much space, beautiful garden, and views all around. To be honest, we didn't feel the need to go it's that nice. Thank you!
Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel our December booking, however the owner very kindly allowed us to rebook for the end of February 2026.Nice secluded cottage, plenty of room and well equipped. Lovely cosy lounge with wooden beams and log burner. All main rooms have nice views across the bay.Plenty of outside space with enclosed garden.

Absolutely loved this property. Very roomy and great location. Cosy and warm. Very pet friendly with secured garden. Views of bay are amazing. Easy access to beach and 5 minute walk. The only thing we wish it had was a cloths airer as weather can be unpredictable at times. Overall we had a great stay.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. Whilst there is no tumble dryer, there is a folding airer in the broom cupboard.
Lower Nunton was perfect for us four adults and two dogs. The log fire made it very comfortable. There was everything in the cottage that we needed. Only one little niggle, the bins outside the cottage were full of garden rubbish, so we had to take the rubbish down the track to the bins near the road.
Very quiet and peaceful. One of the bedrooms was a bit musty when we arrived but soon aired. Would have no hesitation to stay here again. A short walk to a beach.

Thank you for your kind review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay.
The cottage is warm, cosy and really well equipped. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and we loved the views and the tranquility. The beds are comfortable and there was masses of hot water - the shower is great. The host was really responsive to messages and extremely helpful. If we visit the area again this will be the first cottage on our list to book - it's ideal as a base to explore the area.Dhoon beach is just down the lane leading to the cottage and the perfect spot for a morning dog walk.
We really loved this cottage. It’s far enough away to be really quiet and peaceful but at the same time really accessible to all the local attractions. Great place to stay. Super warm and cosy.

The place was absolutely brilliant! The views were fantastic! Everything there you needed. Great big garden for the dogs, with a beach a short stroll away. Can't recommend it enough. Best place I have ever stayed in Scotland. Would buy this place and retire there!

Fab cottage set way back from the road so total and utter peace and quiet, it is just perfect although could maybe do with some updating inside, having said that, I would most definitely book again😁

Why they chose this property
In 1985 we went on holiday in Dumfries and Galloway and fell in love with the area. In 1986 we went back to buy a holiday home. We found Lower Nunton, a total wreck, we turned our backs on it and said, "We must buy this view." We bought it and made it a second home for our family. In 2007, my daughter was married on the beach and had her reception at the house. Now it is a holiday home for my children's families. I started renting it in 2011 with a local agent then Trip Adviser . I have started renting through Owners Direct in February 2017.
