We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Great location, walk right out to the lake to swim and the pier with pedal boats and a row boat for use. The kids swam and fished quite a bit. The cottage was spacious and clean and has a very large deck with a grill. We made s’mores later at night in the fire pit. We will be back for sure next summer.
We had a fantastic couple of days at the lake ! we saw a bald eagle ... jumping bass and swansWe floated around in lake .. water was perfect !We watched the morning fog it was beautiful Thank you for sharing your house !
Great location and excellent condo. Pictures represent it well. Owner has it stocked with anything you might need. Condo is basically poolside. Walking distance to Hatteras Landing and Teach's Lair. Easy access to Ocracoke Ferry
Rustic lake house not far from South Haven had everything we needed and we enjoyed the lake view with eagles and swans we fished swam and used the paddle boat. North beach was the best and Marias was the best restaurant and the Saugatuck dunes rides are a must great family Vacay
We had a lovely time earlier this summer in June- so wonderful that we made a new reservation and came back. Always a great time and will certainly be back again! Thank you so much for the hospitality!
We really enjoyed our stay at The Icehouse. Everything was just as it was described. We used the kayaks and were enthralled by the swan family. This was a perfect place to enjoy the area including South Haven and Saugatuck.
Great place to stay right on the waterfront! The views were amazing, weather was perfect and the water was so calm.
The history of the ice house is pretty interesting.
The only other thing I would comment on is the fact that the two rooms are semi-private. So I would say be sure you are staying with family or close friends that you don't mind having a bit of openness to the rooms.
We really enjoyed our stay!
Had a great time. Very peaceful & relaxing atmosphere. There wasnt much traffic on the lake either & we caught quite a few bass. Only negative was the oar locks were broke so we couldnt use the row boat. We tried all the oars available also. So we had to fish from paddle boats. Kitchen was nice & had a few pans, utensils & more. The wifi was hit & miss but we werent on our phones much so i cant really give an oponion on that. We do plan to stay again sometime.
6 of us that went to college together stayed here and loved the location to be able to do activities but enjoyed just sitting outside around the fire catching up as well. Had everything we needed for a reunion weekend.

Fun at the lake
Overall had fun at the lake and good fishing. Close to nice beaches. Place is a little more dated and a little dustier than expected. Clean enough to not be a major concern, but just know what to expect.
The lake and area was peaceful and quiet, good fishing and the use of the paddleboat is a plus (:
The icehouse is very quaint and cute. I loved the kitchen island!
Very close to Lake Michigan, Saugatuck and South Haven. The Saugatuck Sand dune ride was fun! The Michigan Maritime Marina is a must! Both very cute little towns to visit with good food. Only 2 downfalls, the beds are a little creaky but not terribly uncomfortable and the Wifi is quirky.
Will definitely stay again!
