Cute 2 BD/2BA Oceanside House. One Block to Beach!

Welcome to our Beach side Retreat, a cozy, private and well furnished 2 bedroom 2 bath home that is just steps from the beach, sand and surf. The house will comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults. PLEASE CHECK CALENDAR FOR AVAILABILITY BEFORE SUBMITTING AN INQUIRY AND PLEASE NOTE OUR SUMMER RATES.

HOUSE DESCRIPTION:
Two Stories: Entrance is on the first level, with the living room, kitchen, dining room and one bath. 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath upstairs. You can also enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather in our large shared but private courtyard with table, chairs and gas grills. Spacious and comfortable interior boasts cozy furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops.

Master bedroom has a king-sized bed and the second bedroom has 2 queen-size beds.

Our garage also contains everything you need to enjoy your day at the Beach (including umbrellas, chairs, beach toys, boogie boards, etc).

LOCATION:
* A short minute's walk to the beach.
* Very close to downtown Oceanside and 10 minute walk to Oceanside Pier.
* Amtrack/Metrolink is also nearby. Some noise from the trains to be expected.
* It's about a 10 minute drive to Legoland and Carlsbad. 30 minutes drive south to San Diego, Sea World, San Diego Zoo and other SD attractions.
* Drive 90 minutes north to Disneyland, Universal Studios and other Orange County attractions.

You will enjoy the entire space to yourself, it's quiet with complete privacy.

It's not fancy or luxurious, but we love our comfortable and cozy vacation home, and we are looking for guests who will not only love to stay here but will treat it with tender care and respect as if it was their own.

Great location

We were able to access both the beach and downtown area without having to use a car. A short half block from the beach and a five minute walk to the downtown restaurants and shops.

Clean, beautiful, close to the beach

This property was fabulous! Everything was very clean and updated and we had a great stay. It was within walking distance to the beach and the neighborhood was very quiet and safe. Would highly recommend it to anyone.

An excellent home away from home

We are owners at a nearby time share. Our daughter's family stayed in this condo. It is the second time they have used the facility, and they love being there. It is convenient to our condo, near the beach and in excellent condition. Thank you!

The home was perfect for my family

The home was fabulous. Even had a visit from the friendly neighborhood kitty. Previous tenants’ remarks about train noise was exaggerated. All we heard were distant bells and that’s only because we had windows open and tv off. No need to drive to beach or downtown. The walk was so close it was faster!!

This property was overall a great property and we really enjoyed our stay. The positive things were 1 Great location near the beach 2 Plenty of space 3 The unit was well stocked 4 The owner was responsive and helpfull 5 Great value for money Everyone is different so the following are the points I feel were not as positive. I still rate this unit 5 star because in my opinion they didn't really detract from the quality of my stay but they might matter to some people. 1 The unit is near a train line and the train does run all night. 2 The unit was a bit dated; however clean and well maintained and it was consistent for what I would expect for the price. Overall I loved it and I would stay again.

Thx Becky for the kind words. It is very much appreciated. We really want to provide our guests with a nice comfortable place to stay at a very reasonable price. FYI, we will be renovating our kitchen & bedrooms within the next month or so and will post new pictures once the renovation is complete. We also wish there was something we could do about the train noise but it's something that we have to deal with if you want to be near the beach in North San Diego County. The nice thing is that most people aren't bothered by it or typically get used to it after a little while. On the positive side, it is a very convenient way for our guests to get to downtown San Diego, Sea World, etc..

Good location but outdated infrastructure and lack of cleanliness should be a fair warning

Let's start with the good: Great location, 1 block away from stairs that go directly to the beach, close to Oceanside Train station, walking distance from Oceanside pier and several places to eat. What's not so good? I guess the infrastructure needs a little bit of tender and love. Most of the things seems to be very outdated and that might not feel good for several people (for instance: For me wasn't an issue, but for my wife it was). There's no AC in the unit and during the summer days the place can get way too hot... specially on the second floor. The place offers a lot of fans that could help mitigate a bit the issue, but it's still a thing to consider, specially at night (BTW: several of the fans are very dirty and/or have pieces broken so they won't work 100% well) About the cleanliness: Several utensils from the kitchen were not clean and we had to wash them ourselves before even try to use them, the rug on the family room is very dirty and while I was looking for some toys that fell under the sofa I felt a bit scared to put my hand in there after I saw underneath. The cherry on top of the cake: After 5 out of our 8 days in our stay, my 6 y/o daughter and myself started to get a weird rash on our bodies... At first wife and myself thought this might be chickenpox (wild guess because everyone is fully vaccinated) or some other form of virus, so we left the place before the checkout date was done. After further review by our family doctor and pediatrician for my daughter's case that hypothesis was discarded and both suggested it might either be some sort of poison ivy rash or bed bugs. Given that my 6 y/o daughter shared the same bed with myself and neither my wife or my other kid got that ugly rash, I would like to leave the conclusions up to the reader. Would I visit this place again? No. Would I recommend it? Probably not.. I would just mention its location, but with a huge warning on what you should expect.

Thank you for the constructive feedback. We strive to always provide a comfortable and clean place for our guests at a great value and we are sorry that in this instance that we didn’t achieve our objective. With respect to the AC, we are very upfront in our listing that the house does not have any A/C. The weather is usually very mild and the lack of A/C isn’t an issue for most guests. We have also provided your feedback to our cleaning crew so that they can improve their cleaning protocols and procedures. They normally are very good in what they do but we will remind them of these items as well. We empathize with you for the rash that you and your child developed. We launder all of our bedding linens using high heat in between each visit and we also do precautionary pest treatments of the house on a regular basis. Had we known about these issues during your stay, we would have addressed them immediately as we pride ourselves in providing a great experience and being responsive to guest concerns. After hearing about your concerns, we had the house re-treated in an abundance of caution and I’m happy to report that no pests were found during the treatment. This property is my family’s home when we are in San Diego (which is quite often) and we take great efforts to make this place a comfortable place to stay for our guests. Great Location

It was easy to book and the host Len was very responsive. It is in a good location and close to the Coaster and Surfliner trains as well as the beach & Pier. There is a passenger tunnel on Tyson Street that I didn’t know about that would have saved me a few blocks of walking. The kitchen was the perfect size and all the beds were comfortable. Even though it is not brand new, it is very nice. We came in August and it was unusually hot. There are portable fans in all the rooms, but it does take a little while for it to cool off upstairs on the west side. Downstairs cools off quickly but upstairs takes a bit longer. If you’re used to central air, it is not the same and you will be disappointed. On days where the high was 72 the fans worked awesome but when it was 80…it just took longer to cool off especially the west side where the sun shines. It didn’t ruin our trip and it’s still worthy of 5 stars.

Clean little townhouse

We were very comfortable with the cleanliness (little hot- ha!) but the fans helped. The kitchen had everything and a minor complaint was having no beach towels. We’re at the beach and traveled from no beach! Otherwise it was a cute little house. Next door was a boarded up house that to be honest was a little scary with having to teen girls. There were people in and out of that area and having to open windows to let air in left us a little uneasy. Thank you for hosting a clean house.

Oceanside Wedding

This townhouse was perfect for my family including an infant. The bedrooms were clean and the patio courtyard was enclosed and helped with containing a two year old. Kitchen had everything we needed. Location was premier for access to beach. Will stay again.

Overall the unit was great! Nice kitchen, fully stocked. Comfy couch, nice layout. Two minute walk to beach!Len was a great communicator! About four lightbulbs needed changing, stair carpet needs cleaning. Unit bathrooms are a bit dated. Toilet paper holder almost falling off.

Gret beach getaway

We had a great time at this spacious and comfortable condo! The place was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped and the garage had everything we needed for our beach vacation. We loved the great location which was very close to the beach and near a lot of great shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and Len (the owner) was very responsive and friendly. This is a really nice place in a wonderful location and a great value. We would highly recommend this condo and we plan to come back!

Perfect for us!

I was traveling with my husband, parents and two teenage boys and this place was perfect for us. We had plenty of space to spread out when hanging out at the condo. The beach is just a short block away making morning and evening walks, and afternoons on the beach easy. We appreciated the beach toys (body boards, chairs, etc) in the garage. We took several day trips to LA, San Diego, La Jolla and Joshua Tree National Park/Palm Springs. Being in a central location made it manageable to see everything we wanted to see and not spend the whole time on the road. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to get to go back soon!

Much More Than I Expected

This was an amazing vacation town home. I booked it for the great location at an incredible price point. When we arrived we got everything we expected and much more. Everything was well stocked, the kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. My family loved the short walk to the beach. Plenty of room for all of us. There was alway parking while we stayed. Our host communicated all the necessary information. It was an absolute pleasure to stay in this home. I will definitely look to stay here next time I return to Oceanside. Pleasant stay

Details of check in excellent. The townhouse was good for our needs but could use updating. The shower head in both bathrooms were low for my 6’ husband. Plenty of space & close to beach. Great little coffee shop (the Cup) up the street. Close to the train which runs about a block away. We got used to it after a night.

This property has a ton of extras. Extra towels, linens, pillows. Every cleaning supply and necessity. It’s clean, close to a lot of restaurants, shopping and of course, the beach! Garage is filled with beach toys, shovels, buckets, boogie boards, everything your family could want. Plenty of space for a family of 4 but you could add a few extra people if your family requires.

Can't beat the price!

Place was as advertised, very close to beach, could watch sunset every night from the sidewalk. Plenty of sanitizer and cleaning products, plenty of toilet paper and paper towel. One negative was no laundry. They also need to get a new set of utensils, clearly prior guests were throwing spoons and forks in the garbage. Otherwise kitchen had everything you needed.

We loved staying here. It had plenty of room for our teen filled family. We loved how close we were to the beach. The house was well stocked with all the kitchen stuff we could need and plenty of towels. And for teen girls that is important. We will definitely come again!
