About this property

Antler Ridge 4x4 needed for this cabin

On your ascent to this breathtaking cabin perched high atop a mountain ridge – including a meandering paved drive that transitions seamlessly to a well-maintained gravel road – you'll know you're headed someplace special... a place you'll be happy to call "home" during your visit to the spectacular North Georgia mountains.

The outside is as beautiful as the inside is inviting. In fact, you might be tempted to relax in one of the front porch Adirondacks before you even get through the front door!

Once inside, you'll be impressed with the well-appointed family room, which includes cozy couches (one with a pull-out bed), a flat-screen TV and a wood-burning fireplace for those chilly mountain nights. The adjacent, expansive kitchen is equipped with all you need to feed the team and a dining room table that seats 6.

You'll also find two tastefully decorated bedrooms on the main level. One has a King bed with an en-suite bathroom, and the other boasts a Queen bed with a second bathroom down the hall. Both bedrooms have TVs.

Prepare to be "wowed" as you head down to the terrace level, which immediately presents an open invitation to step outside and enjoy the expansive views. Sip a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail while relaxing in a rocking chair or – better yet – soaking your cares away in the cozy, bubbling hot tub for 2. There's also a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, making s'mores or simply sitting back, gazing at the star-filled mountain skies and wishing your vacation would last forever.

Back inside, you're invited to try your hand at a game of pool or get comfortable on the couch in front of the flat-screen TV and second wood-burning fireplace... where memories are just waiting to be made. A mini-kitchen complete with a microwave, a sink and a small refrigerator is perfect for enjoying mid-afternoon munchies or late-night snacks.

Also on the terrace level are a second King bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a kid-friendly bedroom with a Full bed and Twin bunk beds, also with an en-suite bathroom (including a whirlpool tub).

No matter which way you turn, Antler Ridge has everything you need to make your vacation in the North Georgia mountains a vacation to remember... and hopefully will have you returning time and again to this place we call paradise.

***Recommend 4WD vehicle***
While the house itself had great views and the space provided was great for a large group, I felt I had too many issues along the way during a weeklong vacation that we paid a lot of money for in order for me to re-book this particular property. I am sure starting it off on the wrong foot didn’t help things, but being told 3 days before your are to depart for your trip that the property requires a 4WD vehicle when it is not listed in the property description or booking made me very upset. We decided to go despite not all of us having 4WD cars. We made it, but not after getting stuck several times, sliding backwards down the hill, hitting trees, etc. Our car now has “character” and reminder of the trip. My daughter refused to leave in her car the entire week due to difficulty of it, so we drove her and carpooled. It made doing things difficult but we made due. The hot tub never worked while we were there- I called but they never fixed it. There was a very bad sewer smell when standing on the deck, and we are not sure where it was coming from; but it was bad enough we couldn’t be outside a lot. If you are doing any significant cooking, bring what you need. We cooked every meal except pizza the first night and needed a lot- thankfully I brought a lot. We also had to pay for extra trash pickup (we filled the two outside cans in the first 2 days). The hot water also leaves a lot to be desired- no one can use it if someone else is and it goes quickly. We had to schedule showers.

Beautiful property! Beware the last 400 ft of the driveway.
First and most importantly, we had a wonderful time at this cabin. The cabin was large, and we loved that there were multiple rooms on the main floor and multiple bathrooms. The views from the back porch were incredible. The drive to the cabin was beautiful and relatively easy. The road leading to the house is mostly paved and not incredibly steep. Our only problem was the last 400-500 feet of the driveway. I read previous comments and got the impression that it was going to be a steep driveway. It wasn't all that steep. We have stayed at other properties with more difficult inclines, the problem was that it was "gravel" and by gravel I mean mostly dirt. It was raining the day we arrived so it was mud and virtually impossible to get up the incline in the mud. My husband's BMW SUV could not do it. We parked at the bottom and walked up. It was a short walk, but I wished we could've driven up. The neighborhood or owners need to dump more gravel on that part of the driveway as it is virtually undrivable in the rain. If you arrive on a dry day, you probably won't have this issue. Other than that our stay was wonderful!

Great location
The location of the cabin is great! It’s centrally located between Hiawassee and Helen with short drives to each. The cabin was not very well stocked. There was no dish soap, only one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, and no lighter or matches for the fireplace or firepit. We had problems with the water pressure during our stay, at times the water would completely go out. However, Robbyn was very easy to get in touch with and sent someone out to check on the issues we were having. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
