The house is the best of both worlds—it’s a farmhouse, but it’s modern, with all the charm of the old and the amenities of the new. (Pool will be open by Memorial Day, and will stay open through mid-September.)

What does that mean? Well, it’s got 2 stories, with charming outdoor porches, both front and back, but the hand-built stone fireplace soars from the first floor all the way to the top of the vaulted living room ceiling. The kitchen is welcoming and meant to be cooked in, but the stainless steel 6-burner gas stove is new, and all the myriad equipment and cookware is new, too: All Clad pots and pans, white porcelain farm sink, microwave, etc. The dining table seats 10 people comfortably.

This beautiful home is set in the middle of 3 acres. The brand new, heated pool, 18' x 36', is finished, and is being very much enjoyed by renters. See our new photos.

The rest of the property is wooded and private, with plenty of yard for playing and a new gas grill for cookouts. Yet for all of the seeming seclusion, the property is exactly halfway between Woodstock and Saugerties—12 minutes or less, either east or west, gets you to wherever you need to go, whether it’s fine dining, or antique shopping, or enjoying a horse show at HITS. In the summer, both the Big Deep and Little Deep swimming holes are just a few minutes away, and in the winter, this location puts you well on your way to Hunter and Windham for skiing.

There are 3 bedrooms. Upstairs are the master bedroom and the “kids” room. The master has a queen-size bed and a skylight. The other bedroom has twin beds and a crib. The upstairs bathroom is gleaming and bright—it has a skylight!—and there is a nice-sized stall shower separate from the bathtub.

The 3rd bedroom is on the first floor has a queen-size bed. The bathroom on this floor is very accommodating, it has a stall shower.

There is an air conditioner in each bedroom, and also a unit in the common space.
