We had a short stay due to an emergency at home but we will be back. Great little cottage. I would love to come and stay during the winter months! You can't go wrong here. The local "onsite" manager was very helpful and offered many ideas for food and fun.
Great little place to stay! Convenient to water, great restaurant across the street. Cabin was everything promised!
Bed and shower are a little small but didn’t adversely affect our stay.
Highly recommend
It was small, but clean. Not too far from Petoskey and beautiful parks with hiking. Shower was very small, but has the handheld showerhead on a hose, which makes it easier to rinse off.
Had a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and cozy. Had a small view of the lake. M31 is right there so did hear a lot of traffic noise. But it didn’t bother me. It’s within walking distance to a very nice restaurant and the house of pies. I would definitely stay again. It was just the right size for me. I’m pretty sure I was the only person at the property. So it was very quiet. Wished I could have sat on the deck more but it was really hot and there was no shade. But I totally enjoyed my stay.
This was a wonderful place to stay for the weekend! It was a bit bigger than it looked in the pictures, which was great. The shower was a little bit small, but very usable. The only thing missing qould be a sponge or dish cloth to wash the dishes with. Everything else was wonderful!

Long weekend
A good place to spend the night. The traffic noise during the day was loud and constant, so not a great place to hang out during the day. It was clean and comfortable. No hairdryer so make sure to bring your own.
Placed a call to the property manager. Wanted to know where I could dock my boat. He never returned my call. Other than no place to eat meals the place was fine. Picnic table outside was broken and laying flat on the ground.
We loved the convenience of the location and the added bonus of the lake behind the property. It is definitely a small space. Probably best for a family of three or less or only staying a night or so (room for luggage is very limited). The owner has provided sound machines to help with the close traffic of being steps off of 31. Not a problem for our heavy sleepers but something to be aware of.

Tiny cabin
Description of amenities overstated as usual on VRBO. Lake access from the cottage was through someone else’s yard. The place was small. I can’t imagine 4 people staying in this place comfortably. It was a bit of a challenge for just 2 of us and we struggled to find appropriate places to put our things. As a side note, get rid of all the pillows! They are just in the way.

Response from VrboOwner on 7 Oct 2022
From the owner: Thank you for staying at Tiny Cottage. We agree it is not big and it is best suited for 2 people, but the couch does pull out for more guests to sleep if needed. The cottage does share the docks and lake frontage with 8 other small cottages, as noted in the listing. It's a real cute place at one of the best prices with shared lake access near Petoskey/Harbor Springs. We appreciate your review so we can know what guests would change, like the pillows. We were shooting for making it comfortable to sit in bed or on the couch with pillows, but thank you for the feedback.

Clean tiny home with everything
Directions and descriptions were very accurate. We stayed for two nights as our relatives couldn’t fit us (a couple with teen aged kids) into their house. We had very busy days visiting Michigan with time spent on Mackinaw Island and at our relatives home as staying all day at this tiny house or cooking full meals would have proved to be difficult due to the size. Great clean place and exactly as described. Thanks!
TV didn’t work but that could have been a problem on our end and the house had a lot of extension cords and lots on each outlet due to having everything from microwave to tv and DVD player etc...
Property is in a decent location, however the photographs and description do not really give an accurate representation.
It is walking room only for one person at a time. Place needs a good scrub and I would not call the dock useable as it's old, rickety and boards are loose. We got there, set down our stuff and I distracted my daughter at Petoskey State Park while I looked for a hotel. We picked up our stuff and left. Counter was dirty, floor was dirty and the shower was disgusting!! Would not recommend unless you are desperate for somewhere to lay your head for a night.
We enjoyed our stay fairly well. The bed was a double bed. I can’t remember what the adverisement said but a double bed is a lot smaller than most couples are used to sleeping on. I had expected a queen. It was also very squishy and up against the wall so it made it hard to get in and out and the squishy nature made you sink into it. Not great. The other problem was that the property is listed as being three houses off a lake, which it is, but failed to mention its located on a two lane highway that has a surprising amount of traffic all night long that actually shakes the cottage. All in all we tried to make the most of it but it was not and ideal getaway location.
Everything was exactly as listed and exceeded any expectations I had. The property manager was incredibly kind and helpful with local recommendations and made sure our stay was as seamless as possible. We had absolutely no issues and could not recommend the place more. The cabin was lovely and we had the place to ourselves.

Cozy cabin
The location is great! You get trafic noise but it's not too bad. We haven't really enjoyed the waterfront since we are always there at the end of September but we have used the community fire pit. Very cozy for the two of us and couch and bed were comfy. We have stayed before and were gone most of the time but this time due to rain we were in a lot. made chili and watched football😊 Rob even messaged with ideas of what to do around the area since the weather was so bad. Ample parking and there is a great restaurant right across the street that you can walk to. There were a few kinks to work out with the outlets because there was some recent work done but Rob was very easy to get ahold of and work with. Overall we are very pleased and have been here twice. This is our go to place when we come to this area.
