Really enjoyed the stay. It was a little isolated for our liking, but we should have looked at the location more before booking. But if you like the isolation then it is all there for you to enjoy a great stay.

Yes just you the guest and 50acres of native virgin bush as in you just got off the captain Cook's boat. Soak in the hot tub & swim i the pool with only the birds and stars to see you. Just you the guest and nature like the garden of eden without the snake.

From the second we first set fòot here at Seaviews Pataua we knew it was something special and we delight in your appreciation of the beauty of this location & our darling naughty teenage goats. Thank you for enjoying.
our stay was incredible. the hosts were lovely and always responded when in need of information. the land was so spacious and beautiful!! will definitely be coming back
My family and I really enjoyed our stay over Christmas, it was a great place to relax.
It's a gorgeous location with a great view from the pool and hot tub and the hosts were super communicative and happy to help with anything we needed.
Only recommendation would be to bring your sun umbrella if you want to enjoy outdoor dining.
Such a fantastic location, where you can bliss out staying at the property or go adventuring at local beaches, kayak the river, bush walk or use as a home base to travel a little further North.
The property has everything you need for your stay and obviously the pool and hot tub are highlights, but so is the view, the bush and the abundance of serenity.
The property and the surroundings are stunning. Absolutely no noise except for the occasional cow our goat call.Vrbo as a company did their best to spoil what was an amazing property
We had such a wonderful stay at this bach in Pataua. Our wee family of four had an amazing time from start to finish. Maria was an exceptional host - warm, thoughtful, and full of helpful local tips. She went above and beyond by arranging complimentary horse rides for the kids, as well as goat feeds where they even got to brush the goats. Such a highlight for them. The property itself was peaceful, well‑equipped, and had everything we needed. We loved how close we were to the beaches, with easy access to swimming and fishing. We even managed to catch some great snapper, which made the trip even more memorable. One of our favourite parts of the stay was listening to and spotting the beautiful native birds around the property - such a treat to wake up to. The hot tub and pool were perfect for relaxing on site, and the table tennis kept everyone entertained on a rainy day.A fantastic spot for families looking for a quiet, nature‑filled getaway. We’d happily return.

It was such a pleasure to host such a lovely family who took such grea5 care of our property and goats. So glad the ch8ldren enjoyed the horse ride!! Welcome back anytime
We had a great time at Sea Views Pataua. Hosts very responsive and helpful. House well set up. We kayaked, swam in the pool, and the ocean a short drive away, and loved the hot tub. Table tennis was fun. Great food platters at Tahi Cafe.
We loved our stay. Loved the true unspoilt native bush, the birds, the views and all that it brings. The house has everything you need, so comfortable, especially the beds. Loved the table tennis table, hot bath tub and pool. The garden is so big you can play cricket or kick a ball around. We didn't get time to kayak, which we regret not doing, will have to go back! Thank you for a lovely stay, we feel refreshed
Nice serene location. A good bush walk on the property then into the pool and hot tub. A lot of native wildlife. Saw our first native NZ praying mantis. Maria and Scott were great with any help we needed and telling us about the area. Didn't get to use the kayaks as the weather was rough. Inside the house you could hardly tell it was windy and it had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves.

Thank you Owen and family. Great that you enjoyed the native bush track, hot tub and relaxing environment. Welcome back any time.
Photos were lovely on the listing but didn't really show the whole picture. Lovely location and looks great driving up to to the house. The house is nice; not really cosy, but clean and contained good amenities including heat pump; and beds were comfy! The pool is a good size but is in the middle of the grass with a moveable ladder for access. Wood-fired hot tub looked great in photos; is tucked in amongst natural surrounds so private, but is also accessed from house across grass. Sadly the weather was bad for all but 2 days of our stay so we didn't utilise it (even though hosts kindly offered to fire it up for us several times). Bikes were available, but we couldn't find helmets. Kayaks were also available and the hosts were wonderful with their repeated offers to transport them to the estuary for us. The listing said kayaks could be launched across road from the end of the driveway, but did not mention the driveway was around 900 metres of metal road. Goats were very cute and entertaining! We couldn't fault the helpfulness, hospitality and friendliness of the hosts however the property we felt was oversold on the listing.

The hot tub is positioned on edge of the hill overlooking the sea with pavers leading to it and solar light trail. The hot tub is perfect for wet weather its a shame these guests chose to miss out on the woodfired cedar experience. The ladder is removable to comply with council pool bylaws. Helmets were hanging in the garage but willleave them on bike handles in future thanks for the feedback
A great sized pool for the four of us to play in! The ping pong table in the kitchen was a fun addition! The communication with Maria was great and our two boys loved the chance to feed the baby goats. Size and cleanliness of the property was as advertised. Maria was on hand to organise the hot tub which was a lovely addition to the stay. We ended up taking the car to the beach on a few occasions and enjoyed paddling with the rays! We were grateful of the prior communication to stock up on food before arrival as the location is very remote.

Extremely remote and far from amenities in the area. Ideal if you want seclusion and quiet. Not so great if you're looking to be close to amenities that would be most often used by families with kids. Hosts are very comprehensive in communication.

Yes privacy & feeling of being in own native paradise is the attraction here. With table tennis, lawn bowls, a swimming pool, hot tub, bush walks & a beach 5mins down the road ....plenty to keep the whole family busy. The kayaking is better for older children & adults.
Loved this secluded property with plenty of room to get away from each other, my fave was sitting in the hottub listening to the Tui's and laying in the hammocks reading - had a great time thanks Maria & Scott

Thank you for your feedback and so glad you had a wonderful holiday here. Just love sharing this paradise.
We absolutely loved our stay here. So much to offer with kayaking, swimming pool, sun loungers, hot tub and nearby the beach is beautiful and an estuary for a change to the surf. There’s a lovely cafe nearby that does the best ice creams. Hosts are lovely. This place is such a gem and wouldn’t disappoint. Something to offer for all ages.
Loved the property, with the hottub an added bonus. The river was awesome for kayaking and paddle-boarding with the nearby beach (10 minute drive) perfect for swimming and surfing. The rural setting allowed us to disconnect from the rest of the world although you still had the creature comforts that teens require. We will definitely be going back during the summer months. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating with any requests that we did have. Overall a wonderful long weekend was had by our family

Our satisfaction is happy families enjoying this paradise - and so glad the kayaks and river were enjoyed as well!!
Beautiful place hidden among the hectares of land and centuries-long Kauri trees. A nice place to stay if you want to get away from a city noise. Heaps of things to do - outdoor spa, bikes, pool, ping pong, walking treck and beach. Amanda and Scott were very helpful, thank you very much!
Perfect location, house a little bit disappointing
The location is very beautiful, could not be better! But the house is not quite the standard we are used to. The kitchen is poorly equipped, the oven does not work properly, only one frying pan. The size of the living room is small, wheras the kitchen is huge.

Sorry you had trouble with the oven - it does work but maybe we need clearer operating instructions although this is the first time anyone has had any problem with it. We will do some oven instructions and buy another frypan or maybe 2 more frypans. Yes the lounge is small but the kitchen is huge. the land is 50 acres not much time spent inside usually. the kitchen being so big is great as plenty of room for the table tennis table as well as another lounge suite. the lounge being small is actually nice in winter for the fireplace to keep the room really warm
We were looking for complete privacy and that's exactly what we found. The hot tub and the views were amazing! Such a lovely spot to relax and rewind. Great stay.
A lovely property with complete privacy, stunning sea and rural views and only a short drive from Pataua beaches. Perfect getaway.
