Luxury villa in Altea la Vella - close to golf, beaches and old town

Villa Kanon is located in Altea la Vella - a venerable and quiet villa area a few minutes from Altea center and 45 minutes from Alicante airport. This magnificent villa was fully renovated in 2018 and guarantees high quality standards both inside and outside. There are 6 bedrooms with sleeping accommodations for a total of 12 adults and 6 children, including 5 bathrooms and a guest toilet. It can also show to a cosy livingroom and a well equipped kitchen for gourmet cooking. This is an ideal vacation home for families. We will not accept events or adult groups.

There are several large outdoor areas where everyone can be provided with their own space. There is an on-site sports and play area with a sports bar, and several terrace areas, including a roof terrace with comfortable furniture and a spectacular view. All bedrooms have comfortable beds and most of them have ensuite bathrooms. Bedrooms and bathrooms have custom designed open wardrobes and furniture. The fresh saltwater pool is 11x5 m and there are sunbeds for everyone.

The house's offerings are accommodated in such a way that you really do not desire to go anywhere else but stay within the immensely comfortable confines of the house. However, if you are in the mood to explore, you can find everything within a 5-10 minutes drive. There are several beaches: Altea Old Town, Altea la Vella centre, L`Olla bay, Golf Course ( 500 m), as well as mountains awesome to hike, right around the corner.

For the winterseason the house provides heating in floors and warm air from the airconditioning. The pool can also be heated in the winter if necessary. You will also find a cosy fireplace in the livingroom and kitchen.

Amazing villa for a large family get together

Fabulous pool which everyone loved. Spacious terraces lovely bedrooms well equipped kitchen. Could be enjoyed by both adults and children. We were three generations.

Amazing villa and exceptional service

Villa Kanon is just fantastic. Beautifully and tastefully decorated inside and out and accommodated our family of 17 easily. The pool area is amazing, really large with plenty of loungers and parasols. Altea la Vella is a really nice area and a short drive from Altea, Calpe, Albir, Benidorm and others. Our host Kristin was fantastic, so helpful throughout and she really made our stay so easy, stress free and enjoyable. The site manager Ana was also very warm, welcoming and helpful. We were all very sad to leave and we hope to return again in the future. You wont find a nicer villa, in a better place managed by nicer people anywhere! Thanks Kristin!

Fantastische villa van alle gemakken voorzien

Villa Kanon is echt een topkeuze voor in ons geval een familievakantie met alle kinderen en kleinkinderen (totaal 17 personen). De villa en de tuin zijn van alle gemakken voorzien met voor ieder wat wils. Groot zwembad, ruim voldoende ligstoelen, grote bbq, tafeltennis tafel, jeu de boules en een voetbal/ badminton veldje. De eigenaren gaven ons vooraf een groot aantal tips van restaurants en interessante dingen om te bekijken. Ook de tussentijdse schoonmaak was erg goed. Kortom een topadres.

From the moment of booking the communication from Kristin was brilliant, especially considering we booked this prior to covid. Prior to arriving Kristin provided us with a manual that had everything we needed to know including local restaurants, taxi numbers, etc. The villa was amazing and we could not fault it, it met all the needs of the family of all ages and we really enjoyed our time here everything was available and comfortable and it was perfect for our family holiday. Ana the housekeeper was brilliant throughout our stay when needed and could not have been more helpful when booking extra cleaning or bedding. I would recommend ensuring you have a car to hire as the villa is in the hills and if the weather was a little cooler you could walk down to Altea village most places you require to drive or a taxi. We do really hope to be able to stay at Villa Kanon again and thank Kristin again for her hospitality

We are happy to share with you our holiday dream in Spain. We are two families from Norway where we all live - although we feel half Spanish after finding our second home in Altea la vella.

Why they chose this property

We have looked for the perfect property for years and we finally found the right house in the right location. It was love at first sight with the house and with Altea! We have renovated the house, decorated it with love and tried to create a place as similar to what we always look for in houses when we took our own families on holiday in the past. We wanted to strike the perfect balance between luxury and cosiness. The small village of Altea la Vella and L`Olla provides us with all that we need with fantastic food, beaches, fun and small shops.

What makes this property unique

The most important features with this house is that it has easy access ( 45 min with a car from the airport), silent and safe area but still very close to both the villages and the sea. We also think we have found the perfect room solution in the house. We are two families staying in the house together ( often also with extra guests), but still have plenty of space and privacy. The house has kind of 3 areas or zones allowing families to stay in the house without feeling that you have to step on each others toes. Also outdoors we have created the perfect place to both relax by the pool or on one of the terrasses with a glass of wine and a book. Or you can play a game with boccia, tabletennis or volleyball in the playareas down in the garden. Our children love the playarea where they can hang out and have fun.
The big terrasse outside feels like a prolonged part of the kitchen and livingroom as we have sliding doors on the whole wall. This terrasse has hosted many amazing dinners with family and good friends surrounded with the magic lights from the swimmingpool and the lightening in the garden.
The decor in the house is a fusion between local interior and Norwegian styling. But most importantly - we have decorated it in a way that we find beautiful and practical. We have made some of the furniture and decors ourselves - as the furniture in the bathrooms and the wardrobes in the bedrooms.
