We had a wonderful long weekend at this farmhouse retreat. The house was charming and well stocked with every possible kitchen/ serving item you could need. Hosts were great communicators and very responsive. Perfect location for a rustic stay in Vermont
We loved this house and the location. Nine family members isolated for a very comfortable holiday month there. It accommodated 2 adults working virtually, 2 children attending virtual school , 2 three-year-olds playing and lots of cooking in a big open kitchen with every conceivable gadget and appliance. Christmas presents ordered online were all delivered there on time. It was all we hoped for.
My wife, daughter and I consider ourselves extremely lucky to have spent most of the summer here. After weathering the pandemic in NYC we were desperate for a safe, peaceful and beautiful place to relax and try to reclaim our sanity. This house offered everything we needed--with storybook sunsets almost every night to boot. Any minor issues we had were swiftly addressed. We miss being in this happy oasis and hope to return.
Lovely setting for this cozy yet expansive, eclectic house!
Very comfortable house for 8 of us as we prepped for my daughters wedding in Orwell. Well equipped, large enough to accommodate the bride and several women dressing for the wedding.
Great place to come back to after the wedding around midnight and sink into comfortable chairs scattered on the porches and the living areas of the house.
A couple of rooms could use an update on mattresses ( I had no problem sleeping) but honestly, this place will not disappoint if you have a large family or group of friends staying here!
We had a fabulous time staying in this home. My family of 10 were visiting Vermont for our son's graduation from Middlebury. The location was a 20 minute drive from the campus so was extremely convenient but also gave us an opportunity to have a country home experience. The house was just as described but also includes sweeping views of the countryside. We were graced with gorgeous sunsets each evening during our dinners. There was plenty of space for everyone and there is a lovely living room to relax. We especially enjoyed perusing the extensive book collection that had something for everyone. The children's book was a nice addition, too.
There were some mosquitoes in the mid-afternoon but the enclosed porch allowed us to be outdoors without bother. Would love to stay again if ever in Vermont!
