The Homestead at Sweetacres (formerly Billabong Moon) is the must stay location on this very special and unique property located on the famous Hermitage Road.

The largest of Sweetacres’ accommodation offerings, The Homestead will make you feel instantly relaxed and welcome. Privately tucked away behind a forest of Casuarina trees, this well-appointed and spacious residence is high on style and ideal for a small group of up to 8 family, friends, concert, or wedding guests to stay together.

Featuring 4 stylish bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, the interiors are beautiful and deliver high style and comfort. Featuring an open plan gourmet kitchen, living, and dining room with vaulted ceilings with French doors that opens to The Homestead’s generous wrap around verandas with views to Sweetacres’ billabong. Entertaining is a joy with a gas BBQ, outdoor dining table and lounge chairs - perfect for a sunset meal or finding a tranquil spot to read a magazine with a glass of wine in hand on warm evenings.

In the cooler months, snuggle up and reminisce about your Hunter adventures or watch a movie by the wood burning combustion fireplace in the living room and enjoy the comfort of reverse cycle air-conditioning to keep you toasty at night.

The Homestead at Sweetacres offers so much peace, relaxation, and enjoyment for guests onsite as well as being ideally located to take advantage of the many cellar doors, restaurants, attractions, and activities within moments of your cottage. Sample the delights of Hermitage Road and dine at Botanica, and Piggs Peake. Sample excellent food and brew at The Farm where you can horse ride, take a Segway tour, or meet the animals! Enjoy terrific hospitality whilst wine-tasting at neighbouring Hunter Wine Lab, Wombat Crossing, Thomas Wines, Ironbark Hill Brewhouse, Keith Tulloch or Tintilla. Wedding guests will love being only moments from signature reception venues including Enzo, The White Barn and Greystone Estate. Sweetacres is only 7 minutes’ drive to the Hunter Valley Gardens, The Vintage Golf Course, Roche, and Hope Estates as well as all food and wine delights of Hermitage, Broke and Deasys Roads.

For the active at heart, take a bush walk around Sweetacres’ walking tracks past the billabong and the casuarina woodlands or, wander across the lawn to enjoy The Deck leisure area or a dip in the refreshing shared Guest saltwater pool. You may also like to hire a bike and take the Hermitage Road cycle track to explore the best this destination has on offer.

Weekend - 2 night minimum up to 8 guests, $1013 per night (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun)
Midweek - 2 night minimum up to 8 guests, $760 per night (Mon-Thurs)
Infants under 2 are free.

Please note that a $40 booking fee is applicable for all bookings made.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $500 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre-authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.

LONGER STAYS
Please contact us for a customised quote for longer stays of 3 nights and over.

NOTES
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.

Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.

Concert and special event weekends in the Hunter Valley will have a set minimum night requirement to stay and may attract a surcharge.

Perfect location for our wedding
We stayed at The Manor as a base for our wedding. Easy access for make up, hair stylist, photographer and videographer to do their work easily. As a blended family it was comfortable and convenient to prepare for our Wedding at Peterson House. Highly recommend The Manor for a family stay.

The perfect house for large families
We went to a wedding at Peppers. The Manor was perfect for my large family, with the 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms for everyone to get ready. Will definitely book a longer stay next time! Highly recommend this house, just beautiful.!

This property was beautiful and the perfect place for my daughter and her bridesmaids to get ready for her wedding. The setting and the scenery of the property is so lovely. The house is very spacious and had everything you would need. Communication with property manager prior was excellent. Totally recommend for any group of family and/or friends.
