Modern 'Kiwi Bach' Holiday Home so Close to the Beach! The perfect retreat!
This near new property has everything you could want for your next holiday in Pohara.
Once you arrive, recover from the drive over the hill to some cool refreshments left in the fridge, especially for you. Your holiday has begun!
After a busy day exploring all that Golden Bay has to offer, forget the hustle & bustle and relax and take it easy in this warm & peaceful, well equipped holiday home.
The beach, shop, cafes and restaurants are a mere 2-3 minutes walk away. Takaka township is a 10 minute drive to banks, supermarket, restaurants and shops.
All towels and linen are supplied (including beach towels) and the beds will be already made up for you.
A fabulous place to come and relax in any season, perfect for a winter get-away as the weather is more like autumn, with mostly fine sunny days, and many choices for beautiful walks. Cosy & private ~ fully fenced for safety of the little ones, and with so many activities available within a short drive.
The beach is especially suited to families, as it is shallow until a long way out, perfect for children to play & swim safely.
Plenty of parking on the property, even room for the boat!
The fishing out from Pohara beach is excellent, with many varieties caught, including blue cod, snapper & gurnard, to name a few.
Check-in is AFTER 4pm, and we offer a more leisurely check-out of BY 10am. Please respect these times so we can have the property ready for you or the next guests.

While Pohara is extremely popular in the summer months, it is also the perfect location to visit in the autumn or winter, when the temperature is a little more comfortable and the area is not so busy.
Winter guests will enjoy the the new large capacity heatpump, to top up the warmth supplied by the sun during the day.
All in all, the perfect place to explore or chill, whatever the season. There really is no destination quite like Pohara!

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
House must be fully cleaned ~ Vacuumed, surfaces and bathrooms cleaned etc, and left in clean and tidy condition, as it was when you arrived. Please turn off towel rails in bathrooms.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

I just love our bach, but we can't use it all year because of work, so we make it available for others to enjoy also. It is almost new still, and we are very particular about keeping it clean and tidy (some say a little over the top), but that is the standard we keep and expect from our guests also.
To make your stay a little easier, we will make up the beds for you to suit the numbers staying, so please let us know if they are couples, singles etc. We will also strip the beds and launder the bedding and towels for you (this is what the cleaning fee is for), so all you need do on departure is ensure the rest of the house is clean and tidy as you found it. Vacuum cleaner, mop and cleaning products are all provided for this.

We wanted a holiday home that felt like just that, not a residential house, and this property has the Kiwi Bach feel about it, it inspires us to smile & enjoy our time here! After all it's fully equipped, so all we have to worry about is what to eat, what to wear, and what exciting activity are we trying today!
After all, there is so much to do and explore in Golden Bay, with naturally beautiful landscapes, there are many walks and places of attraction to visit. There are also hosted or guided tours, including fishing or Farewell Spit Tours.
