Located in the downtown area of the charming and historic town of Chappell Hill you can enjoy shopping and dining by walking a very short distance or making a short drive into Brenham. The Sunshine Cottage was exactly what we were hoping for when my sister and I decided a girl's getaway was needed. Not only is the location perfect with a short walk to restaurants and shopping but the cottage is so well decorated, charming and filled with thoughtful amenities we hardly left the property! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the area! Thank you again to our hosts!

This little cottage is the perfect spot for a nice little getaway. The cottage is fully furnished with everything you will need. Hands down my favorite getaway place to stay thus far! Susie is an incredible communicator and host. Thoughtful snacks, handwritten notes and plenty of recommendations/local info, very responsive and takes great care and pride in this charming cottage! The layout was perfect and felt much bigger than it actually was. All amenities you need and extremely clean and cozy. The back porch was ideal for a raining afternoon/evening and we loved cooking out and listening to the trees blowing in the breeze. We will definitely stay here again and again!!

Growing up a country girl in the blue grass of Kentucky makes Chappell Hill a natural fit for me. I've lived all over Texas most of my adult life, but now I am finally home.

Why they chose this property

My family farm has always stayed in my heart. I knew some day I could find a place that reminded me of home, and I did when I found our main house with this cottage. I loved the floors and the ship lap walls even though my husband could only see the work involved. Now he loves our little farmhouse and cottage. My dream is to share it with others.

What makes this property unique

Chappell Hill is the most quaint little town between Houston and Austin. In less than five minutes you can walk from the cottage to town.
