Had a great stay with my parents who were visiting Vic as we road tripped about. Small & Cute but very well equipped cottage and doggo friendly also is a great bonus.
Would definitely stay again and recommend.
We absolutely loved our stay here. We had just done a 3 day hike on the Wallaby trail and were very happy to settle into this property. Anthony was great at communicating and getting back to us about any questions we had. Thank you for having us stay! We'll definitely be back again
We really enjoyed our stay at Bidwell Cottage with our 2 dogs, it was nice and cosy especially with the wood fire heater. Will definately recommend this property to our family and friends.
Bidwell Cottage was as charming and cosy as we had expected from it's listing. And as it was quite a cold weekend it was lovely of Anthony to arrange to drop off more firewood. Would definitely stay again.
The property was clean and tidy. Provision of heating was good. A very basic place to stay for a weekend only or passing through for a night. Not value for money to stay longer than 2 days.
We choose this property because pets were allowed. Clean and all amenities provided. Lovely bottle of wine to greet us which was really nice gesture. Only disappointing issue was there was a Possum on rooftop jumping around middle of the night. We would stay there again and recommend. Not 5 star probably 3.5 however enjoyable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bidwell cottage. The cottage is tastefully decorate. The bed and the sofa bed, were both very comfortable. It was lovely sitting outside on the balcony at night to enjoying a Bbq. Anthony and Andrew made sure we had settled in on arrival sending us a text message with their contact details if we should have any concerns. Although this cottage is small, it had everything we needed for our stay. The yard is very pet friendly. We will be recommending it to our friends.
Comfortable, private and inviting.
Everything required on hand.
Comfy bed and great shower.
A little sanctuary surrounded by lush greenery close to lake and town.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. The Cottage was perfectly described. A lovely little hideaway that just made us feel at peace with the world. Could not have wanted for anything better.
We enjoyed our stay at Bidwell. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen well supplied with everything needed for a self catering stay. The supply of condiments was appreciated and the free bubbly a generous touch. There were many thoughtful, homely inclusions. We had everything we needed for our four legged family and the fencing is secure. Really appreciated being allowed to have them inside with us.
My only comment is that the interior looks much brighter in the listing than it is and the overhead lights are really needed all the time. A sky light would make all the difference to the living area which could be important if you are rained in or have planned an inside retreat.
Overall though it is a delight for a short visit and we would stay again. Thanks 🙂
Bidwell cottage was very cosy and comfortable. Although the weather was not great we loved that you could walk down to Lake Daylesford and Central Springs reserve in 10mins and enjoy the bush surrounds. Thankyou for the wine, very welcome and the little extras. Treya and Perry
Very comfortable cottage. Although very cold weather the heating was excellent. Entertainment systems and WiFi were great and also a good range of sauces, condiments and spreads supplied by owner. I would definitely stay here again.
Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Surprised by the amount of condiments and spreads and super surprised by the Rose' Bubbly. Loved the wood fire with the ample supply of wood. The games,DVD's and CD's were a real bonus.
This cottage had a lovely character and a lot of thoughtful gems.
I suffer from chronic stomach issues and had left my heat pack at home and was going to try to have to search to buy one but on checking in, we found a hot water bottle!
The fire place was definitely put to use and as we are not accustomed to using fireplaces, Anthony and Andrew left a lovely step by step how to.
The place was super clean and tidy but also cosy and had a lot of character.
The bed was comfy and the living room had some great reading material and board games we made use of as well!
the location is also great! We went for a walk/run down the road to a spring and if we had a bit more time, could have been a lovely walk to daylesford lake!
We visited Mill Market across the road and the main rd of food (vincent rd) was walkable distance. Everything on our to do list was 2-3 min drive (max 15min drive) from the cottage.
Loved staying here and would definitely recommend!
Bidwell Cottage had everything we needed.
Such a tranquil place with character and added extras to make us feel at home.
Great communication with owners, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Thank you!

Hi, I'm Anthony! After living in London for many years, we decided to move to Melbourne for a lifestyle change. And then, after just 2 years in the city, we decided on a tree change in the Daylesford/Hepburn Springs area, as we had holidayed here previously and fell in love with it, as it has both European and Australian characteristics and charms. I run the holiday let businesses with the help of my partner Andrew. I am more hands-on with cleaning and preparing our cottages for guests and greeting them and making sure everything is to their liking. Andrew is more behind the scenes, ensuring our reservations system and other IT systems and facilities are working well. We make a great team and love welcoming new and returning guests to experience our cottages and all that the beautiful Daylesford/Hepburn Springs region has to offer.
