Welcome to your mountain escape in the private, gated community of Old Timberline, nestled in the heart of West Virginia’s stunning Canaan Valley. This spacious vacation rental comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests, making it the perfect retreat for families, friends, or group getaways. The home features three cozy bedrooms—two on the main floor, each with a double bed and bunk bed, and a third upstairs with a queen bed and private en suite. OLD TIMBERLINE - 

A private, gated community located in beautiful Canaan Valley. You have access to both Spruce Island Lake and Sand Run Lake in Timberline to canoe and fish at (swimming prohibited by the HOA) and access to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area.



You will be staying in a private, gated community. Please have a list of everyone that will be staying in the house (first & last names) and vehicle information. A guard house form will be given to you at check-in for you to put the information on that you will give to the guards.

Great mountain get away!

This house was exactly as pictured and offered a wonderful get away! The lot is surrounded by trees offering a lot of privacy, so if you don't want to see your neighbors this is a great option. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking meals. Only minor issue is that the information we were given at check in about finding the wifi password was incorrect, and it was difficult to find the actual wifi password since it was handwritten in tiny letters on a fridge magnet. Perhaps for future guests it, the password could be put on the modem since that's where the printed instructions told us to look.

This was a great place for our group. Very clean and the key pick-up was easy. For the price, we expected things to be a little nicer. The kitchen cookware needs a thorough refresh and the coffee pot took no less than an hour to brew a pot every day. Just a few minor things but an overall great stay.

I rely heavily on reviews when choosing a home & opted for this one for a family Christmas gathering. What a surprise it was to discover how grungy this home is; one of the toilet bowls was soiled, dust & cob webs were visible. If it was this dirty, what else wasn't I seeing? This house needs some serious TLC. It's possible that its been empty for a long time and the property manager hasn't been in to inspect it for a while. Neither are an excuse for the condition of this house. When I communicated this with Mountain Top Realty (property mgr), they said a deep clean is needed. Surprising that a paying guest needs to be the one to alert them to that. VERY disappointed.

Pleasant, but could be a lot nicer with a few small but key improvements.

We just spent a long ski weekend with two other families. Enjoyed the location, the open floor plan, the hot tub. Size wise the house was a little tight for the whole crew. Beds are squeezed into the two lower bedrooms and there’s no separate space for kids to hang out (which we knew) . Clearly has some new elements in the kitchen but missing a handful of kitchen items you’d expec and is otherwise updated from whnm it was built
