Sudendorf has its own heated pool for great summer family fun and it is right outside your front door. Outside the back door is the pin to the second green of the Schuss Mtn. Golf Course for the summer and a groomed cross country ski trail for winter fun. Shanty Creek and the surrounding area has a lot to offer visitors in any season.

This is a great condo for a family vacation. The unit has been completely updated. The first floor has a fantastic full kitchen with a central island well suited for gathering and serving. The granite countertops and updated ss appliances will make you feel right at home. The living room features a sleeper sofa, a hart warming wood stove for the colder season and a nice plasma TV with DVD player. The unit is equipped with cable servicing the 1080 flat screen tvs in each bedroom / living room(4 total). WIFI is also supplied. The first floor also has the master bedroom with a king bed and full size washer / dryer.

The upstairs can be split from the downstairs and rented separately. The upstairs has a kitchenette with a loft that sleeps 4 and another bedroom with a queen that sleeps 2. The full bathroom is updated as well. The upstairs and downstairs each have there own locks.

There are exterior cameras only that monitor the property for security.

Golf Trip

We loved this place. It was super clean and comfortable, very spacious. Came up for the 4th of July holiday to play golf and shop in Traverse City and it was perfect. We enjoyed the view from the back deck while we grilled dinner. We had plenty of room here and had everything we needed. Looking forward to coming back again. Karen V.

Gorgeous house with tons of space and everything you need!

We have been staying in this area (Sudendorf) for the past 5 vacations, and have been in 4 different condos. This one was FAR AND AWAY the most beautiful, well-appointed, comfortable and spacious place we have ever stayed. Literally everything you could possibly need is provided for you. We had 8 people staying between the two floors and were very comfortable space-wise. We will be back!!

Great spot!

EXTREMELY clean, well stocked and organized property--and perfectly decorated for the holidays! We had three adults and two kids (7 & 10) and had plenty of space. My kids loved the upstairs pirate room and claimed the kitchenette as "their apartment." Great proximity to Schuss Mountain and Ivan's, easy to take a break from skiing at the condo. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, beds were super comfortable and linens/towels were top knotch. Very well cared for and probably the cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed in. We would definitely stay here again and would like to check it out in the summer-outdoor pool right across from the unit looked wonderful.

Great place for families

Four adults and three kids stayed here for a long weekend. It was better than described! Even with cooler weather (low 70s) the kids enjoyed the outdoor heated pool. We used the BBQ on the deck overlooking the golf course and used the fire pit by the pool (wood provided). The kitchen had plenty of plates, cups, utensils--all in very nice condition. Did I mention how clean and updated everything was?! The kids loved the loft. Brenda was very quick to return emails ahead of our arrival. We had no problems during our stay.

Ski trip. Second time renting

Beautiful condo. Brenda has everything thing you will need for your trip. The beds are very comfortable. Went up for ski weekend and other winter adventures. The condo is located on the multi use trail. It’s a 10 minute walk to ski lift. We drove to ski hill. We were able to snowshoe and cross country ski and hike by getting on trail located behind condo. We have stayed at many places in Shanty Creek. This condo is the most comfortable and Brenda is the BEST host. Thank you for sharing your condo!

Exceptional condo close to numerous activities

This property is exactly as described and more. Generous rooms, quality appliances and amenities. Absolutely everything included you could need or want. Brenda is very responsive to any and all questions and provides guests with detailed information throughout the condo by labeling items and providing a binder with all information needed as well as area menus, water fun, day trips, etc. This was a return visit and we stayed several extra days to enjoy the condo, deck views, pool, nice neighbors, and relaxing time. Highly recommend and hopefully back again and again! (cleanest condo/house I've ever been in!!!) Thanks Brenda!

Mostly girl’s trip

My 2 daughters, 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson stayed at this condo July 20 - July 23. Location is very peaceful . The condo is beautiful! Brenda ( owner) met us at the door and provided info, answered questions. It is a very clean, comfortable, spacious condo located at the golf course out back and the kids favorite hang out( outdoor pool) across parking. It was never busy! We appreciate the use of pool pass for the indoor pool (rained). It’s a great base for day trips to Charlevoix, Beaches, Boyne Mtn /sky bridge, Traverse City. We stay in many VRBO all over and this ranks in our top 3 so far. Best stocked kitchen, most comfortable king bed in master BR on first floor. Grandkids enjoyed the loft area and the 2nd floor “apartment”. The huge kitchen island was the center of activities when it rained. Tastefully decorated throughout. My daughters and even grandkids commented that they would love to come back . Possible this winter for skiing! Thank you Brenda for offering your beautiful condo. Enjoyed it AND the surrounding area. We all would recommend this condo for a quiet, comfortable getaway up north👍👍

Wonderful Rental!

This was my first time using VRBO, and it was a success! I traveled there with my family for four days in July. The condo is accurately represented in the photos, and it is very cute, cozy, and clean. Everyone enjoyed their rooms, especially my daughters who absolutely loved the loft area. The kitchen was fully stocked, and all of the appliances are new. The large island and fully stocked kitchen made it easy to prepare meals away from home. This was my first time at Shanty Creek in many years, and I was thrilled to discover what a central location it is for family fun. We traveled to Traverse City for a day and enjoyed the downtown area on Front Street and spent some time at the beach, we also traveled to Bellaire for a delicious meal at Short's Brewing Comany, and we enjoyed the beautiful water at Torch Lake one day. All of these were just short trips away from the condo. However, we did not have to leave to enjoy ourselves. There is a pool right outside the front door, which even includes the use of a radio for added enjoyment of the facilities. My husband and I enjoyed a daily walk up the mountain on the paved path and a round of golf. In addition to that, our whole family enjoyed a delicious meal at the River Bistro restaurant. All in all, the property is an excellent choice for any getaway. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Relaxing getaway at beautiful condo

This was a 2nd trip to the area, but first stay at Brenda's condo. The area is a wonderful location to use as a home-base; you can drive to various locations within a short period and still be back to enjoy the evening quiet. The back deck was comfortable, with a table, chairs, and a view of the early morning golfers. Seeing the sun shine on the golf course/trees was peaceful. Hard to add to the already positive reviews, but here goes. This condo exceeded all expectations. Extremely clean and very organized. All the upgrades were professionally done and all the lighting, appliances, and decorations were ones I either have installed or would install in my home! We used the kitchen a lot and found every appliance, tool, or cookery aid ever needed, and they were of the highest quality. Appreciated that. The condo area is very quiet and peaceful. Use of the near indoor pool and hot tub were great and very relaxing. Torch Lake is superb for seeing beautiful sunsets and a short drive. We enjoyed a day trip to Charlevoix - very quaint, great eateries, waterfront views, and extremely friendly people. A day trip North to Mackinac can be easily planned, as well as a drive across the bridge and still be back to the condo for a movie. We were highly impressed by the care, attention, and thought Brenda put into the beautiful condo; guarantees another stay for us there in the future! Thanks so much!

Family Trip

This condo was so comfortable and well stocked. They had everything you could possibly need from cooking supplies to games for the kids to pool passes. My family, grand kids and friend went up for a long weekend. Plenty of room for everyone. Would definitely rent again.

Wonderful condo!

Schuss Mountain/Shanty Creek is a huge area, with 5 golf courses and some pools. We loved the location on the golf course and near an outdoor pool. The inside of the condo was beautiful! Lovely decorations and sooo comfortable! I really liked that there were so many hooks for hanging up towels. The kids loved the trundle beds and lofted area with a pirate theme! The kitchen was well stocked and the large island was great!

Another wonderful Schuss week!

The condo is absolutely perfect. Well-appointed with everything you might need--from plates and utensils to board games and DVDs to enough towels and paper supplies. Brenda and Steve ensure that the condo is spotless upon check-in and are very responsive to any questions or issues that may arise. The Sudendorf property is filled with kind and respectful people, the pool is gorgeous, and the kiddos love to play whiffle ball in the big field. The town of Bellaire is a great too--crowded enough to draw in awesome restaurants (Bellaire Bar and Shorts especially!) and little shops--but not to crowded to still feel like a small town. We come annually for an extended family vacation and start the countdown for next year as soon as we check out!

Great location for winter fun!

Our family (2 adult, 3 kids 10-14) stayed in the condo for a ski vacation. Everything was extremely clean and as advertised. We've stayed in a few other Vrbo homes over the past couple years and this by far had the most kitchen cookware and dishes/silverware that we've ever encountered. We drove from lower michigan and brought some food with us and had enough room in the cabinets to store. Family was happy with the bedroom situation, everyone had their own bed and the upper condo bedroom with the loft and mini kitchen was a big hit. Location to Schuss is great (1/2 mile), pools (1/2 mile or 1 mile), downtown Bellaire/Shorts (10 minutes) and Boyne Mountain (30 mins). The only disappointment, which is not the fault of the owner, is the Schuss village pool, which is fairly small and the hot tub was not operable. We didn't have a chance to go to the Lakeview hotel pool. While packing the car to go home, we were approached by someone staying a few units over whose family owned units 444/445 30 years ago and stayed there, she took a very brief tour inside and was very impressed with all the updates that were done. Overall we would definitely stay here again and would recommend this wholeheartedly.

Perfect Refuge

This condo is PERFECT. Owners have thought about every detail from climate control with wood burning stove (so cozy!) to directions about what to if power outage. The kitchen is better stocked than many home kitchens. Beds are incredibly comfortable, sheets soft, blankets perfect weight. Our tween/teenagers had space of their own. Place was clean. Easy distance to multiple ski resorts, a variety of restaurants and beaches for fantastic rock hunting. This was our second stay here and we WILL be back.
