From October to April the cottage rates are ~50% lower than the summer rates.

Feel free to bring your own bed sheets, pillow covers, towels, and personal items is up to you since we also provide them. We also provide blankets and pillows. Since the guest has the option to bring their own sheets the beds are not made, and it would be appreciated if the sheets and used towels are washed, but it is not required. Four smart screen tv’s with DVD player and many of the popular streaming services that you can log into with your account.

We are located just off I 80/90 near exit 107. FREE candy, cereal bars, coffee, tea, etc are provided.
We offer water activities for fishing, kayaking, boating, swimming, and relaxing.

The cottage includes Central A/C and Heat.
Dinning room and the kitchen provide a wonderful panoramic lake view .

Master bedroom lakeside,(Queen bed and twin size bed) with attached bath.

Second front bedroom, (Queen and Double/standard size bed).
Detached room “casita” which is the 3rd bedroom includes a full bathroom, (Double size bed) smart tv, mini fridge, microwave and walk out to the lake. Due to this 3d detached Casita bedroom not being heated, it is closed October to March.

Kitchen, kitchenette, Dinning room, Family room, including an electric FIREPLACE. We have well water, but I have installed a kitchen sink filter, 4 shower filters, bathroom sink filters and a water softener.

WHATS INCLUDED IN THE COTTAGE:

The cottage is fully furnished.

Cookware and silverware included.
Along with major kitchen appliances, including a stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee pot, toaster oven, blender, and misc containers, cooking utensils, place settings, kitchen cleaner's, Keurig, etc.

Books, indoor and outdoor toys, board games, DVD's, etc.

Outdoor charcoal grill, grilling tools, charcoal, lake side fire pit, wood, table and chairs. We also have a private back yard.

Vacuum, cleaning supplies.

A 4 person paddle boat (April to Sept)
Two Adult / Kid Kayaks and paddle board ( April/May to Sept)
Pier on the lake around ~50 foot long. (April/May to Sept)

ITEMS YOU HAVE THE OPTION NEED TO BRING:

Bed sheets, towels, specific laundry soap, and any other personal items if you prefer your own. 2 Queen beds, 2 double beds, and a twin bed.

THINGS TO DO AND SEE:

Gradual and shallow sandy swimming area.

Stone Lake and the smaller connected Brokesha (Mud) Lake are great fishing lakes.

Stone lake is a max of 30 feet deep and has a public boat ramp / launch on the West side.

Boating is speed restricted to 10 – 15 MPH, which helps to provide a quiet, and relaxing get-away.

The nearby town of Middlebury offers shopping, microbrewery, the famous Das Dutchmen Essenhause restaurant, golfing, site seeing, local attractions.

The nearby town of SHIPSHEWANA flee markets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Amish restaurants, crafts, shopping, animal petting zoo, Blue Gate Theater, auctions flea markets, and much more.

Ice Fishing, Cross Country Skiing, and nearby down hill skiing. From October to April the pier will be taken out and the boat and kayaks put away for the cold season.

CHECK IN INFORMATION:

The front door lock is electronic. After your security deposit is received, a code will be provided for the lock and will be changed after your departure. I also have installed a video doorbell.

From June to August your week starts on Saturday at 3:00 pm and ends on the following Saturday at 12 noon or Friday to Friday..
The detached bedroom/Full (Casita) during the off season (Oct-March) is winterized thus the bath and toilet can not be used. Please let me know before your arrival if you need to use the Casita and the electric heater.

~1 day min stay during the off season (Oct-March)
~2 day min stay during the summer, Friday to Friday or Sat to Sat.
The minimum age for the primary guest/s must be 21.

Extra INFO:

The trash is picked up on Wednesdays.

The WIFI password is on the freezer Door
The Key to the extra detached bedroom is on the side cabinet in the kitchen.
When using the A/C please keep the windows and doors closed.

CHECK OUT INFORMATION:

Please leave the cottage in as clean of condition as you found it, which includes cleaning the kitchen, putting away all outside items, closing all windows, doors, and putting all trash bags in the outside dumpster.

The security deposit will be refunded after you leave, and so long as there are no damages or extraordinary cleaning needed.
