Whalebone Cove Cabin with ocean dock


NO CLEANING FEE!

Like new cabin situated on 2.3 acres at the head of Whalebone Cove in the beautiful Copper Bluff area of Quadra Island. The cabin sits on a mossy bluff above our home, overlooking Discovery Passage and the mountains beyond Campbell River. Looking westward it's hard to find a nicer sunset on Quadra Island. If the large front windows don't get you close enough, then just sit out on the deck and enjoy the show. The property has 240 feet of waterfront and a private dock. Tie up your boat, launch your kayak or just bring your fishing rod and enjoy the day. Our dock is equipped with power and fresh water. Take in the ever changing variety of marine life on the water including whales, dolphins, otters, seals and birds. Every day there is an interesting array of marine traffic including cruise ships from May to September.
You will love the surrounding moss covered bluffs and steep cliffs that make this area unique. We are close to some of the best hiking and biking trails on Quadra and a 15 minute drive to the Village Bay Lakes.
We are comfortably separated from Quadra's busier areas and still close enough to slip in for a beer at the pub or to shop for your next meal with a quick 12 minute drive to Heriot Bay.
Whalebone Cove Cabin is ideal for a most peaceful getaway. It has everything you need and then some. A fully stocked kitchen including the basic spices, coffee & tea, a very comfortable queen sized bed, a walk in shower, handmade natural soap, and a washer and dryer. We also provide a barbeque on the deck in case you have the urge to grill. And just to make sure you stay connected with the world, we have not forgotten a large screen TV and included the internet.
We are a 4 season cabin. You can enjoy the great outdoors during the warmer months or cozy up by the fireplace during the cooler months. Quadra Island is a great place to be at any time of the year.
Please note that we have an outdoor security camera on the property that monitors the driveway to the cabin.

This was a fantastic place to say on Quadra. We had the place to ourselves, and it was very clean and well appointed. You can also visit the water via the owner's dock. The nights were very quiet and occasionally a cruise ship passes by. The cabin is a little less that 4km on a gravel road. Make sure you have some food before arriving!

Whalebone peaceful retreat

Perfect location for my daughter and myself. Sitting on the back porch facing the ocean and watching the deer in the yard among all the foxgloves and daisies was very special. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your cabin. We enjoyed standing on the dock in the cove looking at all the sea life in the ocean.

great cabin with almost everything youll need

great new build cabin, lots of great features. small drawback is very bright n the bedroom as soon as the sun rises, no curtains on the big fam rm windows, so no sleeping in unless you bring a blindfold, also quite a drive to anywhere, which is good and also could be a concern, long gravel road in not a concern for me with a truck, may be for others if you have a low riding car, overall a beautiful cabin and property

Thank you for the review Bryan. We were pleased to see you thought our cabin was a new build. It's actually 8 years old. We take pride in maintaining it and keeping it squeaky clean. With regards to the gravel road coming in, it is not a problem at all for cars. Most of our neighbours and guests have small cars. The drive to the Heriot Bay town centre is approximately 12 minutes. We are located right in the middle of Quadra which is very convenient for the lakes and hiking/biking trails. We were sorry to hear the morning light woke you early. The window you mentioned is on the opposite side from the bedroom and faces south so it does not receive the morning light. It is located at the top of the 18 foot ceiling so it is impossible to cover it with a shade covering. Thank you for your feedback.
