About this property

4 Bed 2 Bath 1 block from Coe College NE CR

We are remodeling this 4 bed 2 bath home in the Moundview neighborhood just down the street from Coe College football field. She needs a few more updates but is perfect for anyone that wants to stay close to Mount Mercy, Coe College, St. Luke's Hospital or anywhere downtown. Note the address is 1515 "E" Ave NE, not East Ave:)

3 bedrooms and full bathroom on upper floor. Single bedroom, full bath, living room, dining room and kitchen on main floor. Main floor shower has some dings in it but is clean and works great. Upstairs bathroom has a clawfoot tub shower that has the curtain all the way around. Kitchen has new vinyl flooring but cabinets need to be repainted. Hardwood floors have recently been refinished. Any other questions about the condition let me know but price is discounted for the minor imperfections while we work to make this a home to be proud of and stay in:)

Nice older home with character

This home worked great for a girls weekend get together. plenty of beds and room to gather. Conveniently located by downtown Cedar Rapids. Host was very responsive to our needs and we appreciated the assistance.

Great location

We came to Cedar Rapids for the USA Kids National Wrestling Tournament. Three adults and five young children. The house was very young-child friendly and clean. The house was located just five minutes from the wrestling venue, which was great. And to top it all off, my grandson won the Greco Roman and Freestyle National Championship.

Eventful Grad Weekend

Due to water leak we didn't stay at this house. Mark was able to find us another house to stay. He tried his BEST to make up for the unfortunate circumstance, but location was on a very busy road & there were people with very LOUD vehicles.

WONDERFUL

Mark the manager was amazing and very easy to contact. We were stranded by the storm and could not check in on Thursday as planned so he was able to give us Sunday night in exchange and we were able to take an extra day to spend time with family after my Mom's memorial service. The house was absolutely PERFECT!! Very clean and very accessible as well as plenty of room to meet all our needs!! Will definitely re-book with him again!!!

Smooth, my problem is I don't check email while traveling...owner should text check out directions or have them posted. Nice 4 bedroom home!

Great Quirky Old House

My family and I stayed for a weekend for an event. The host was helpful and flexible, even working with us for a bumped up check in time. The house was clean and well stocked. The dishes were in kind of an odd place in the kitchen, but they were there. We had a great time.

Good place to stay and close to Coe

This place was very handy to stay when dropping my daughter off at Coe for the second semester. It's really close to the football field. There was plenty of space and rooms.

Christmas visit

Close to Coe!

This property was perfect for dropping our son off at Coe! It is 1/2 a block from the football field. It was just a few minutes from downtown which was a plus! Loved all the character from the home. Mark, the property owner, has done a lot of updates and sounds like he is continuing to do more. He was available immediately to answer any questions we had. It was perfect for our party of 8!

Change of plans

Due to a commitment for this property that was put on hold from last year(COVID-related), we did not stay at the property listed. However, Mark worked extremely hard to get the remodels finished on two other properties for our family to stay in. Both properties looked great, but the second one was not quite finished. We knew that was a possibility and we were fine with it. I had requested a grill and he remembered to have one at the property for us. Mark was very helpful to us, even when a family member accidentally locked us out of the house.

Location, Convenience, Family

We needed a convenient location to gather with Mom during the Covid-19 pandemic to pay tribute and remember my brother. Mom is 87 and we needed a central place to meet without having to make her move around much. This home addressed all our needs. We were able to have the memorial for my brother and see many members of our family without moving her around much. Perfect location! Very convenient! Also very easy on our pocketbooks as well.

MerCoe House review

Had a great time at our Coe Homecoming! Currently a work in progress which is why we didn't give it 5 stars. Needs basic supplies; soap, toilet paper, hair dryer, etc.
