House was accurately described, very spacious, close to Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor. Plenty of parking and sleeping spaces to choose from. If we're ever back to the area, we'll definitely check to see if this place is available!

This is a wonderful property!! It was the perfect base for exploring Acadia National Park. The house was very clean and had everything we needed! Plenty of dishes, silverware, storage container, pans and even some sandwich bags. Plastic wrap and foil. There were even some spices to use. We had a great stay!!

This house was so nice, clean & comfortable! There was plenty of space for our party of 6- it’s bigger than it looks in the photos. The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of paper products, nice linens and towels, extra amenities in the bathroom (qtips, face wipes). The location is perfect- close to Bar Harbor but away from the hubbub and walking distance to the ocean and a couple restaurants.We especially enjoyed watching the chickens, ducks, turkeys and deer through the kitchen slider!

Group of 12. Plenty of room. Awesome location. Close to everything, but out of the traffic. House is well stocked for anything you need. Parking for three cars was perfect. Great stay, would recommend.

Maine was having warmer temps then usual. The house doesnt have a/c, but more then enough fans. The host, miss Trisha, met us one day and we got to speak with her. She is a vert sweet lady, and if we needed anything, she was right there to take care of it. The location is great, the price was great, and my family and i had a blast in maine!

The cottage was cute, well-appointed and very functional. Well stocked with virtually everything that we needed. Secluded so it was quiet, yet close (minutes) to Bar Harbor proper. Able to do some star gazing on cloudless nights from the back deck. GPS recognized the address which was very beneficial. Had 7 adults staying there and didn't have any trouble with hot water supply. Tower fans and cross ventilation with open windows alleviated the need for AC even during an August trip,

The Captain's House was fantastic for our recent family vacation. It was very spacious, clean, and well-equipped. It is also in a great location to enjoy different activities in Acadia and on MDI. We loved being able to walk to Hull's Cove. The host was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We would stay here again in an instant!

Wonderful historic home

Our group absolutely adored this precious historic home. The kitchen and baths were fully stocked and the beds were super comfy. We would definitely stay here again. The owner, Trish, was a little gem.

We had a wonderful stay at this vacation rental! The location couldn’t be better—just minutes from Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor, making it so easy to explore and enjoy everything the area has to offer. The home itself was spotless, spacious, and stocked with every amenity we could possibly need. After long days of hiking and sightseeing, we loved gathering around the kitchen table to play games together—it truly felt like a home away from home. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Wonderful place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The owner provided all basic needs (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) which was awesome because we traveled from PA to ME and we didn't have to pack these items. The house was in a great location and a nice size for our family and friends. We hope to go back sometime.

Magical Acadia

We had a wonderful time and loved this location. We were able to easily get to Acadia National Park and enjoyed biking and hiking. The house was roomy and comfortable, and we loved relaxing on the porch

Wonderful stay

We filled the house with family and felt very comfortable. Beautiful home, well cared for. We even enjoyed wiffleball in the back yard. So close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We really enjoyed it.
