You can’t get any closer to the water then On The Rocks. This three bedroom camp is located right on George’s Pond in Franklin, Maine. Newly purchased and remodeled!

**Please, take note we are only taking reservations for two guests.***

Plenty of fishing and swimming can be done right from the dock.

MDI/Acadia National Park is about 45 minutes away. Schoodic Peninsula is only about 30 minutes away and very beautiful. You also avoid the Bar Harbor traffic!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home on the pond. It was peaceful, cozy, and exactly what we were hoping for. We enjoyed using the kayaks, relaxing by the firepit, and spending time out on the deck taking in the incredible surroundings. One night we even saw a shooting star from the deck, which made the stay feel extra special. The home and setting were perfect, and we would absolutely stay here again. Such a wonderful part of our Maine trip!

The place was lovely, our only suggestion would be that if you do have a booking, if the kayaks were tied up to the dock, they would be more available. There is no easy way to get them into the pond, and being almost 70 we didn’t attempt to use them.

To sum up our stay at On the Rocks, I’m just going to say “Wow”. Usually the pictures of a place are better than the reality. In this case, the pictures did not do justice to what we experienced. Being so close to the mesmerizing Georges Pond was so peaceful and lovely. We took advantage of all the great places from which to view it, inside and out. The inside of the cabin was also so well done and inviting. We enjoyed the fire pit and hearing the loons’ calls in the evenings.

Peace of Loon Heaven

An amazing place to stay while we explored Maine. Secluded , quiet , super clean and comfy Loons right off the dock , lots of loon calls at night . Fabulous stars when it isn’t cloudy .
