Not a great experience
This could have been a great house and experience with very little effort. But the home was sparsely and cheaply furnished. There weren't enough places to sit in the living room or at the dining table for a house its size, there were almost no pictures on the walls, and the curtains looked like they came from Walmart. The owner was out of town and very difficult to reach. When we were finally able to reach her to ask for more blankets, we were told there weren't any and there was no effort or concern to make our stay comfortable. There was little heat in one of the bedrooms. The large kitchen was relatively well equipped but very poorly organized and missing a few basics like serving dishes and a pitcher. We found two broken wine glasses in the cupboard. When we needed to change our plans and stay an additional night because of a snowstorm, the owner had no kind or empathetic words and simply sent us an invoice. We left the house impeccably clean and well-cared for, but never received a word of appreciation. Value for the money: Poor.
