About the host

Hi, we're your hosts Lauren & Tom!

We're a married couple who shares a love for all things hosting, our two pups, and new adventures. After years of visiting our favorite place, we decided to move from Grand Rapids to Traverse City in the pursuit of happiness. Days were filled with working too many hours and spending too much time apart, so we packed up and began our new journey.

As a team, we started from managing one rental home to owning our own and could not be more grateful for the opportunity to share our love of hosting with our guests.

We believe that no matter whats going on in life, its important to take time away, recharge, find new adventures, and create fond memories. Our mission is to provide the best possible stay in hopes that you and your loved ones are able to experience all of this and more.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Lauren & Tom

Why they chose this property

Our third cottage along our Mitchell Creek retreat, and quite possibly our favorite. We've always been in love with "barndominiums" and small spaces, so this home couldn't represent who we are any better.

The vaulted ceiling, with old giant wood beams, and stained glass window took our breath away the first time we walked through the door. And we knew that we had to be able to share this with others.

What makes this property unique

Location is a huge benefit of this cottage with being so centrally located, and the feeling of nature in the city, but what really sets this cottage apart is the old architecture. It's cozy, beautiful, and a true home away from home.
