About this property
Oceanfront - one acre on Kaneohe Bay!
I comply with all Hawaii tax regulations. Hawaii Tax ID#: TA-158-127-3088-01
Serenity......This peaceful retreat offers meticulous attention to detail and modern amenities on one acre of oceanfront property facing Mokoli'i Island (familiarly known as Chinaman's Hat) in Kane'ohe Bay on the wonderful windward side of O'ahu. When you arrive, the home invites you come in and bask in the Aloha spirit, even as the sea beckons you down to the shore to rest at the 'ae kai, admire the tropical foliage, and watch the moon rise over the placid ocean. You will sleep deeply in the queen-size bed, wake at first light to meander the manicured grounds, perhaps lingering by the water lily pond....as the sun hovers over the horizon and silently but surely rises. Savor a cup of Kona coffee or coconut chai as the shama birds serenade you with their unique and delightful song, as another lovely Hawaiian day unfolds......
The day holds treasures yet undiscovered. Whether it is swimming, snorkeling, beachcombing, horseback riding, ATV riding, hiking, shopping, exploring every nook and cranny of the island, taking in her unparalleled beauty....or, of course, sampling from O'ahu's diverse and delicious eateries....you are in a convenient location from which to launch the day's activities.
The home is a 625-square foot studio comprised of a comfortable living area, kitchen and eating area, separate sleeping area (not quite a room, but partitioned), and a full, modern bathroom. A sofa, and a 51" HD Smart TV is cable-connected for relaxed viewing. Free Wi-Fi is also included. A modern kitchen appointed with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, coffee maker, blender, rice cooker, flatware, cookware, and dishes also provides a spacious area with a brand-new wooden table and chairs for dining. The separate sleeping area is furnished with a comfy queen-size bed, and the full bathroom has granite countertops and a tub/shower combination with granite surround, as well as a stacking washer and dryer (no searching for/wasting time at a laundromat!). Fresh, soft linens and towels (including beach towels) are included.
Rich, cool hardwood flooring throughout, tile flooring in the bathroom, crown molding, and quality fixtures express pride in workmanship and ownership and comfort you just as if you lived here.
Cook up your favorites or new island delicacies inside or outside on the BBQ grill located in a separate area outdoors (close to your entrance). Dine indoors or al fresco at the table and chairs which overlook the grounds and the ocean.....gorgeous views any time of day or night!
The home's windows are completely screened so you may leave them open (when you are "home") to enjoy the soft trade breezes, and the home is also air-conditioned (split zones) for your complete comfort.
This gorgeous property provides the setting/backdrop for occasional Magnum P.I. filming!
While the oceanfront is not a swimming beach (too shallow and silty), Ku'aloa Beach Park, with its lovely white sandy swimming beach is just a 2 or 3 minute drive just up the road. Its safe and protected waters make it one of the ten top rated beaches on O'ahu....safe and fun for all ages.
Parking for your one vehicle is right outside your door.
So come on in......e komo mai.....welcome!

About the host
Hosted by Gail Kosiorek

Born and raised in western Massachusetts, about as far away as one can possibly be from Hawai'i and still be in the United States, I arrived on O'ahu for a one-month vacation in 1980…but Hawai'i is hard to get out of one's system and I stayed to make Hawai'i my new home state. I’ve been exploring and loving the islands, people, and culture of Hawai'i for the past 36 years. I bought my first property on O'ahu in 1983, and during the 45-day escrow period, I earned my State of Hawai'i real estate license. Just two years later, I purchased the company I’d been working for; upon selling that business in 1986, I began and built my company, Fidelity Properties, from the ground up. I purchased this beautiful (undeveloped) property in 1989 and built my home and the rental home and, over the years, I've nurtured the 'aina (land). I enjoy swimming, boating, and staying active. Most importantly, I am happy to share this paradise with you. Aloha, Gail
Why they chose this property
"Keep the COUNTRY country." You will see intermittent signs along the road on your way to the home. The village of Waikane is in "the country"...away from the developed and more congested and populated areas of the island....and country residents would like to keep it that way! Here are flower farms and ranches.....foliage and fruit trees.....a little bit of yesteryear and a country road that hugs the shoreline and takes you.....home. The quiet, windward side of O'ahu, from Kahuku to Kaneohe, is renowned for its lush vegetation, breezy trade winds, spectacular beaches, friendly little towns, and laid-back lifestyle. With just about everything close at hand and several convenient avenues to Honolulu (only a 30 minute drive) as well as the North Shore, it is no wonder I fell in love with and chose windward O'ahu, backdropped by the dramatic Ko'olau Mountain range, for my home and business base. The nearest town is Kaneohe, only a 15-minute drive, where you will find a variety of restaurants and shopping, a newly-expanded mall, movie theaters, and grocery stores.
What makes this property unique
An acre of oceanfront, prettily landscaped with royal palms, flowers, and a lily pond, offers tranquility at the water's edge (the 'aekai).....Sit and relax: your view is the Chinaman's Hat sitting in the calm bay and the Ko'olau's rising steeply. Forget your cares, feel anxiety slip away, savor the serenity.....
