This is our 3rd year in a row staying at this house for a 3 day weekend for a golf event. Each year is as good or better than the previous. Wonderful house. Great amenities. Nice and quiet area. We will be back !!!!
Overall house was good. WiFi didn’t work on TVs and bathroom lights didn’t work

Great house in a great location
We had a mini family reunion between Christmas and New year with family coming from Montana, Michigan and California. Great location close to lots of interesting site seeing and close enough for visiting Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Great restaurants and wine tasting!
I have stayed at many rental properties for my job, and this house easily makes it into my top 5. It was comfortable and well stocked with the basic necessities. The decorations and gas/electric fireplaces were especially nice and cozy. The renter's local contact was easy to reach and resolved a minor issue within hours of texting.
Place was exactly as described. Nice house. Great amenities. Nice quiet neighborhood. Property manager was very good at responding and answering questions

Great place
House was as advertised. Clean and roomie. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Close to town and places to go to. Probery manager was very helpful.
Enjoyed the well equipped kitchen. Good location. Most difficult part (and this was small) was access to the house from the driveway. Would have been nice to access from the garage or a paved walkway to roll suitcases.
Such a cool house! It’s not updated, but that was our favorite part. Very charming. Lots of space, comfortable beds, and very clean. It was perfect & we’d definitely return.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
The positives: the home was in a quiet location, it was easy to find the house, the outdoor area was lovely, the beds were comfortable, and it was easy to access the amenities that we came to see/do. The not so good: the WiFi did not work; we noticed others had commented on the non-working WiFi. The home could use a deep cleaning, there is grease built up on the range hood, there were dead bugs on the dishes, there was a dead bug in the bathroom off the laundry room, all of the mirrors in the home could use a cleaning. It would have been nice to have more paper towels available, and to have either foil and/or saran wrap as we cooked while we were there and then had no good way to store our leftovers.
The house was big and spacious and very clean. Nice location 20 minutes from Sedona. The pool table offered our group many fun times.
Some downsides:
-The chess set on the chess table is missing some pieces
-The hot tub cover is broken
-There is a donald trump board game prominently on display upstairs
-the wifi is very slow
The house is located on a very charming back street surrounded by small farms and animals in almost every yard. Very quiet and comfortable area, still close by to shops and the center of Cottonwood.
The house itself is very charming and well decorated. All the rooms were very inviting and comfortable and the amenities were very accurately described and very useful.
We received texts before our trip confirming the stay and some information about our check in. There were rules and information right as we stepped in the door that included a lot of information on how to keep the house warm or cool which was very helpful.
Overall, a very comfortable and welcome place to stay. Highly recommended.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Communication
Just adequate
The property is very old and from the outside it is not at all inviting. The inside is clean and generally well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, towels, and extra bedding.
The biggest negative is that the WiFi in the house was useless. It worked only for about a half a day. I restarted the router several times but it did not help. Contacted the local contact for the house (the owner apparently does not live locally) about the problem. It seems something was fixed because it worked that afternoon, but then by evening it had gone south again. If you depend on the internet while traveling do not rent this house!
Some of the mattresses were old and uncomfortable. No shower gel or shampoo in the showers.

Response from VrboOwner on 22 Apr 2021
Hi Roger, the homeowners have asked us to share this response:
- Thank you for this review; it helps us improve the property and make your experience a great one.
- We are aware that the property is old. The home was built in 1974 and is the original farmhouse that served the area when it was mostly agricultural, back in the 60s and 70s. We have chosen not to change much of the house as we are ranchers ourselves; we find the property relaxing and enjoy the slow country feeling.
- It is spring, and our lawn personal have not yet begun to maintain the property as we would like, but we have sent them a schedule, and the outside of the house should look more inviting as the spring progresses.
- We have had troubles with the WIFI and have contacted Hughes Net, our provider. We increased the speed and the number of devices that can be hooked up, and Hughes Net has assured us that this should take care of the problem. We are monitoring this closely.
- We have ordered shower dispensers, which will be installed soon. In the meantime, our housekeeper will make sure that there is body wash in all bathrooms and showers.
- We are in the process of replacing the beds in the house and have replaced the master as well as two out of the three other bedrooms. The last bed will be replaced in July, and we will also be upgrading the TV within the next few months.
Once again, we appreciate this feedback, and we encourage you to visit again!
Seven 1980 college graduates from Iowa met and stayed here for a long weekend. We appreciated the open spaces and cleanliness of the house with easy access to Jerome, Montezuma and Tuzegoot ruins. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and the bathrooms had towels, soaps, etc. everything we needed including a washer/dryer. We enjoyed the hottub, fire pit and pool table, along with sitting around the big round kitchen table telling stories. I would say for 65yo ladies, we could have used better motion detection outdoor lighting in the front, especially when we first arrived and were unfamiliar with the layout of the property. We all had the best time and will remember our wonderful stay always.
The place is old and cluttered and a bit of crazy decorations but once getting past that the bed was comfortable and there was room to stretch out but no tv in the bedrooms
Loved the amenities, including billiard room, jacuzzi, and big patio. Nice, quiet neighborhood where one can walk around and see animals. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you!
We had such a great time! Everything was perfect for our group of 6. We had plans on visiting the wineries and taking the Verde Valley train. The house was just minutes away from everything, including downtown Cottonwood. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen, the upstairs living area, pool table and even the piano! Our property contact person was very helpful and responded quickly. The only downer was that we didn't book one more night! We will definitely be back!
Property was very nice. Loved the neighborhood. There were 6 of us. Plenty of room in the house. Had some javelina visitors in the mornings. 😃 Wish we could have stayed a few more days!

Perfect House for Short Getaway
Four of us stayed in Cottonwood for a week in early May. The rental was perfect and well equipped. Situated just outside of downtown Cottonwood so nice and private but still close to attractions. About 10 minutes to downtown Cottonwood restaurants and tasting rooms, 20 minutes to Sedona. Hot tub, pool table room, and firepit gave us plenty to do in the evenings. Would definitely recommend!
