About this property

Luxury lake house, perfect for a family getaway

A beautiful new spacious modern home in Motuoapa on lake Taupō, only 30 minutes from Taupo and 45 minutes from Whakapapa ski field. Great location to enjoy the lake for water skiing or fishing. The marina/boat ramp just 500m away. World famous trout fishing on the Tongariro river is less than 10 minutes down the road.

The house has upstairs living with a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge leading out to a large L shaped balcony deck where you can enjoy a beautiful over lake Taupō. Fantastic for indoor/outdoor entertainment. Upstairs has 1 queen bedroom, children’s bedroom with two bunk beds and bathroom with continuous hot water.
Downstairs has a large games room with table tennis table, queen bedroom and bathroom. Tennis racquets, basketball, netball and pétanque set provided for use on court across the road.

Great house!

Great house, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and very functional. The terrace was a great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine looking at the amazing view.

A very new and tidy house. I also enjoy the play room (pool and table tennis table) and the fancy kitchen. There is play ground across the road.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans l’hébergement de Luke. La maison était très grande et parfaite et la vue très belle. Les couchers de soleil étaient magnifiques. Cependant, nous n’avions pas d’auto, nos transports étaient en autobus et comme il n’y a aucune épicerie ou dépanneur dans le village, nous devions appeler un taxi de la ville voisine pour venir nous chercher et reconduire. Donc à prévoir pour les futurs locataires.

Family Holiday

We have stayed in this area a number of times and love it. Bach was lovely, good communication, clean and tidy but got extremely hot in afternoon, kept blinds closed and air on.

Thanks for the feedback Claire. On very hot days like your week (25 C +) it is recommended to close the blinds on the south side. I will include this in house information. Fortunately the upstairs air con unit is very powerful so can cool the living area quite quickly.

Motuoapa Muthu (Pearl of Motuoapa)

Right from the reservation till the end of stay, everything was very professional, kudos to Luke and Michelle. The house was prepared well for our stay, totally no complaints. My uncle and aunt who came from India really loved the property. We all thoroughly enjoyed the stay. It's a large house and definitely can take 10 easily, though we were only 6. Worth the money. Than paying heavily to stay in Taupo city centre, this is very very sensible and ideal, it's just a 40 mins drive to the top of Taupo. Overall we had a wonderful experience. Highly recommended. God bless.

Why they chose this property

Built in 2019, we chose this location as it had the best of both worlds, on lake Taupo for summer water sports and close to the mountain for winter skiing / snowboarding.
