A secluded haven hidden away in peace and privacy in the heart of Umbria, overlooking unspoiled countryside, amidst olive groves and vineyards .The villa comes with a large porch and terrace with views overlooking Lake Corbara and Orvieto and has four double bedrooms with views patios or porches, and three bathrooms. Lake Corbara is an excellent location from which to explore the best of Italy. Day trips to Rome, Florence, Perugia or Assisi by train or car, or simply explore nearby Orvieto famous cathedral, and Todi. The villa lies between the traditional medieval villages Civitella del Lago and Montecchio and comes with. barbecue, pizza oven, fridge, night lighting and bar by pool. Villa is en route of the 'Cammino dei Borghi Silenti'

For 15 years my husband and I lived with our large family at Podere Antico. The villa itself was built my American husband himself.

Why they chose this property

We discovered this retreat immersed in Nature in 1982 and to this day it has remained as it was, a unique spot overlooking the lake, the local villages and inhabitants as they were. In an area in the heart of Umbria untouched by tourism and the changing in times as other places in Italy, despite the fact that local towns are famous historically for their art and culture, as well as for contemporary arts such as the Umbria jazz. Only an hour from Rome or Florence famous for its simple but finest foods, game, tartufo, not forgetting the top wines and finest oil.

The property is unique in the space it offers for wining and dining in company on the grandiose outside porch. Its majestic fireplace or luxurious marble pool with bold slide. It has breathtaking panorama unforgettable sunsets and total reclusion, a retreat immersed in the National Park, yet so close to the most stimulating and exciting artistic and cultural locations.
