This lovely detached,air-conditioned villa offers a perfect getaway for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.Internet available.Sitting at the head of a tranquil valley with unobstructed views, overlooking grapevines and olive groves. The sun-drenched patio and terraces surround the private pool and are south facing with ample seating and sunbeds etc. We are located in rural Paphos, so a car will be essential if you wish to explore the many surrounding villages. You may wish to sample the delights of Cyprus eating (try the Meze) and drinking at the numerous Tavernas just a few minutes’ drive from the villa. Paphos town is where you’ll find hundreds of bars, restaurants and clubs catering for every taste and is about a 20 min drive. The picturesque harbour is lined with places to dine overlooking the sea and old fort. With many archaeological sites, Paphos is steeped in history. Polis and Latchi (fishing harbour) are charming coastal villages with wonderful fish restaurants and long beach just 20 mins.

Great holiday

Property is a little tired

The property was a little tired. Communication difficulties with owner, meaning we had to contact Vrbo customer service. Property was very clean but the BBQ was missing.

Didn't suit us

Our biggest disappointment was the lack of privacy due to the lattice type fence with the neighbour and open unsecure frontage. The pool guy turning up unannounced just walking past us talking on his phone while we were sunbathing was unacceptable. The regular dog barking in the area is very intrusive . As regards the location I think we underestimated just how far it was to the city and coast, twenty minutes just got you to the outskirts. The villa was surprisingly spacious and there were many nice positive features such as the new TV with UK channels and good internet. However it was not as clean as we should expect with numerous spiders webs up walls, ceilings and windows. The bathrooms are in need of an update and outside the newish sunbeds are good, however the pool area is getting tired and shabby with some cracked and broken tiles so care has to be taken. It was not our cup of tea but that's just us. Alan is very very quick and responsive to any enquiry.

Will definitely revisit

Tucked away in the mountains is this idyllic spacious immaculately clean two bedroom bungalow, a car is essential. It’s situated along a private road of just four properties & away from all the commercial hustle and bustle, but it’s within a 20 minute drive. Lots of local restaurants that are less expensive within just a few minutes drive, with a delicious T-Bone steak & trimmings costing only €14 at the local The Olive Tree. The pictures don’t do the villa justice. The pool and decking area is south facing across the valley and benefits from the sun all day long. Both bedrooms are en-suite and the kitchen is well equipped, there is a small laundry room with washing machine. This is the perfect place for a quiet get away but within easy reach by car of shops and restaurants. The owner has been great and responded quickly & resolved super efficiently a couple of minor hiccups. Our favourite area to visit for lunch was the modern harbour area at Paphos, some seafront shops to wander & lots of restaurants to chose from & the beach at Coral Bay with its clear blue seas & Sandy beach. Polis beach is a little closer one nice reasonably priced beach restaurant on the edge of the campsite Sandy/shingle beach. Please bear in mind we visited in October in the midst of the pandemic so everywhere was more quiet than usual. It was wonderful & in particular had we had another complete lockdown had the convenience of our own pool and terrace.

Holiday September 2022

This is our second time staying at the villa and we would certainly like to go back. The villa has everything needed for a peacefull relaxing holiday. Any issues are dealt with promptly by the owner with the neighbours also being willing to go out of there way to help you if needed.

Lovey Villa with Lovely views

Overall the Villa, location and views are fantastic. Alans communication was timely and perfect when we required information. Hiring a car is a must but there is so much to see and do it such a worthwhile investment The local taverna The Olive Tree is well with a visit for friendly hosts and good food. Our only disappointment was that the BBQ listed was broken and left in a fairly poor state of cleanliness and that all the sun beds had cracks down the centre of them making them fairly unstable. Had these been resolved I would not hesitate to give. A 5 star rating overall

Schöne Lage, schöne Aussicht, aber ..........

Wir mieten schon seit mehr als 30 Jahren Ferienhäuser und haben diesmal leider ganz neue Erfahrungen machen müssen. Das positive an unserem Ferienhaus waren Lage und Aussicht. Die Liegen am Pool wurden von uns nicht genutzt, weil diese einfach nur schmutzig und ungepflegt waren. Leider gab es während unseres Aufenthaltes direkt Probleme mit der Klimaanlage im Hauptschlafzimmer, das leider erst am 7. Tag unseres Aufenthaltes behoben werden konnte. Wir konnten das Zimmer während dieser Zeit nicht nutzen und mussten uns zu dritt das kleinere Schlafzimmer teilen - unser erwachsener Sohn schlief während dieser Zeit auf dem Boden. Da hätten wir eine Notlösung von unserem Vermieter Alan erwartet - vielleicht in Form eines Klappbetttes. Ebenso wurde uns zu dritt nur ein Duschhandtuch zur Verfügung gestellt, das Problem wurde mehrfach angesprochen, aber auch dieses Problem konnte erst am sechsten Tag gelöst werden. Die letzte Kommunikation mit unserem Vermieter erfolgte vor der Reparatur der Klimaanlage, danach haben wir leider überhaupt nichts mehr von Alan gehört. Dieses Verhalten fanden wir sehr befremdlich und unangemessen. Ein Vermieter sollte nicht nur Miete kassieren, sondern sich auch um die Probleme - bezüglich des Hauses - seiner zahlenden Gäste kümmern. Alan mag ein guter und netter Vermieter sein, wenn alles gut läuft und es keine Problem gibt. WIRKLICH SCHADE.

Excellent peaceful location

We stayed here for two weeks at the end of May 2022. The villa is delightful, very spacious, clean and above all very peaceful. The views from the rear patio across the hills are stunning. You really do need a car as the nearest supermarket and restaurants/bars are a couple of miles away. However we found it to be an excellent base to travel around this part of Cyrprus.

Pool with a view

The property is well proportioned with large kitchen and lounge with plenty of large windows and patio doors offering excellent views of the surrounding area. Large patios around the south facing valley and pool area. Pool was the largest we have used whilst hiring villas around The Med. Bedroom was a good size and the whole property was pleasantly cool despite temperatures in the mid - high 20's with no need to use the air con. Not more that 20 mins from the outskirts of Phaphos the villa is an excellent base to explore the west.

Great, relaxing holiday!

We have been visiting Cyprus for over 20years staying in villas all over the island. This is our second visit to Alan’s villa and we are never disappointed. Lovely villa with everything you need and a great sized pool. It is located in a beautiful peaceful position on the edge of a nature reserve and away from the tourist area which we love. Definitely need a car especially if you like sightseeing as there are plenty of historic sites and places to see. Alan was efficient in replying to queries I had, the whole booking process was hassle free . Looking forward to next time. Thank you again, Kerry

Tranquil and restful vacation

First feeling was of being out in the sticks, but after a couple of days we began to appreciate where we were and that it was so peaceful and with lovely views as well as being slightly cooler than down on coast. The food package was perfect to tide one over to next day. The villa is spacious and very clean with nice large patio and a pool suitable for swimming rather than being a plunge pool . Local tavernas were great and it was nice to be mixing in with the locals.

A wonderful place to relax and unwind

We spent a very relaxing 2 weeks at this spacious villa. The views over the valley were superbe. A car is essential as the main tourist areas of Paphos, Coral Bay, Polis and Latchi were all approximately 30 minutes away, but this meant we could retreat away from all the hustle and bustle to the tranquility of our own pool. The gas barbecue was very useful, and the air conditioning was very welcome. The local supermarket and taverna were very friendly. We would gladly return one day. Thank you.

Great Find for a Relaxing Holiday

Great villa hidden away in the Happy Valley. The views were amazing & the photos just don't do it justice. We arrived late at night & were pleased to find that everything was just as described on this site. You need a car to get the best from this villa as there are shops & good restaurants in Polemi but go further afield to Letymbou & you are treated to the Letymbou Tavern or the Vineyard Taverna. Both restaurants are well worth a visit. The pool was well situated & a treat to use in the hot weather while we were there. The communication from the owner was excellent & I would recommend this villa to anyone wanting a relaxing break in a wonderful setting

A Perfect Relaxing Find

We were really surprised & pleased by how lovely this villa is. The photographs do not do justice to the villa or the wonderful views. The villa was clean & well presented on arrival with a welcome pack to tide us over until we got to the shops. The two bedrooms were spacious & both had good en suite facilities. The pool & surrounding area were well kept & a joy to relaxing in the sunshine. You will need a car to really get the best from this part of Cyprus. Polemi has a good traditional Taverna or you can go to Letymbou for the Letymbou Tavern or the British owned Vineyard Taverna both are highly rated on Trip Advisor so well worth a visit. We also visited the Tsangarides Winery where they gave us samples of all their excellent wines. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough for anyone wanting a relaxing visit to the real Cyprus.

Villa Near Polemi - Cyprus

We have just returned from a fantastic relaxing 2 week break in this lovely, well equipped Villa in Happy Valley - Near Polemi. The views are amazing of the surrounding mountains and hills. Car hire is essential though. We ate at the local restaurants and tavernas which were really friendly and the food was nice and well priced. Everything you need is in the Villa. It was a home from home with fridge, freezer, washing machine etc. The welcome pack was really nice to arrive too after a 2 hour flight delay. Would recommend to family and friends and hope to return next year! Thanks to the owner Allan who made everything so easy for us!!

If you want to get away from it all, this property is perfect. It is quiet and secluded and set in beautiful gardens with views from the pool to the hills. The villa is spaceous, clean and comfortable with everything you could need for your stay. A car is essential as the nearest shops are some distance away. We walked to them for exercise, but this would not suit everyone. Many thanks to Alan, the owner, who ensured we were warmly welcomed by neighbours - they also keep the property pristine and maintain the pool. We'll definitely be back.

Great place to chill out and enjoy views and private pool. Secluded and very private gardens. Villa clean and well equipped. Plenty of great tavernas close by but car essential. Would recommend for quiet break away from tourist areas or for visiting the sites of the island.

Fab

Not our first time at this lovely villa but this time without kids as i know the pool can be cold this early in the year. As always the property is very clean and well equiped and as the guests comments book (at the villa) repeatedly says "the website photos don`t do the property justice" and this is true,you are very pleasantly surprised when you arrive and i noticed that many of the comments in the book were from return guests. The views are fab and the location is very peacefull,just what we need after the stress of work. There are so many great places to eat within a short drive though our favourite is a rustic taverna just up the road, The Olive Tree. If a quiet relaxing holiday in a lovely villa is what you`re looking for i would happily recommend.

Hi, my name is Alan Bradbury, or Brad to most. I'm 60 and live in Exeter, Devon, a lovely part of the U.K. where i have spent most of my life. I have worked for many years as a musician both at home and abroad. I decided about 10 years ago to embark on a little adventure and the result was the building of a lovely villa in Paphos,Cyprus.I lived and worked in Cyprus for a few years but work commitments brought me back to the U.K. With the villa now unoccupied I decided to let it and have done so successfully for several seasons. I hope to settle in Cyprus eventually.

I bought this spacious property for it's peaceful location and the wonderful views across the Paphos landscape. Most grocery needs can be found just a couple of minutes drive away along with various tavernas.
