LAS ROSAS by RENTMEDANO, stunning luxury Chocolate Box Villa

Las Rosas is a gorgeous 3 bedroomed villa with private heated pool with jacuzzi

It has just undergone an extensive renovation (finished June 2025), making it into an extremely pretty, modern, airy and bright home.

As, in Medano, we have year long sunshine and average 24C temperatures we have dedicated much thought and pleasure into making the outdoor area (190m2) comfortable and elegant, providing 3 distinct outdoor zones, the pool area with loungers and multi position chairs, with space for kids to play, a beautiful chill out area to the front of the house facing sun-set; also to the front an eating area with BBQ and on the 1st floor, adjoining the master suite, a large private sun terrace with loungers looking out over the ocean.

Neighboured by bungalows the pool at Las Rosas is completely private, as is the sun terrace off the master bedroom. Parking is not a problem.

What a fabulous villa

We had a great time at Villa Rosa for Feb half term and the weather was very hot. The villa was very spacious, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The pool was the perfect size and temperature and the pool area was very private and not overlooked. The villa is very quiet and secluded and could sleep six comfortably and the top floor bedroom balcony was a fabulous place to relax and watch the sunrise and sunset. There are beaches within 5 minutes walk and a small mini market 10 minute walk away. El Medano is a short drive where there are lots of supermarkets and fantastic restaurants. Pauline was super and we’d love to come back!!

Das Ferienhaus war super: sehr geräumig, gut ausgestattet und der Pool ein Traum. Pauline hat uns sehr nett empfangen und war auch während des Urlaubs immer erreichbar und sehr entgegenkommend.Die Lage ist auch top: ruhige Wohngegend (nur die startenden Flugzeuge des nahen Flugplatzes stören ab und zu die Ruhe) und weitab von den sehr touristischen Zentren rund um Los Christianos. El Medano ist fußläufig in 20 min erreichbar, dort kann man gut essen und einkaufen. Am nächsten Strand Playa Montana Pelada ist man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß. Die Bucht ist recht klein, aber sehr schön.Wir können das Haus rundum empfehlen!

Ideale vakantiewoning voor een gezin

We hebben een prachtige week gehad in deze mooie woning in El Médano. De woning is goed uitgerust, ook als je eens zelf wilt koken of bakken. De ontvangst en de communicatie tijdens het verblijf met Pauline kan niet beter. En het zwembad is verwarmd voor zwemplezier het ganse jaar door. Enig minpuntje vonden wij de vliegtuigen die boven deze wijk opstijgen, maar het went wel.

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage mit kleinem geheizten Pool

Das Haus liegt in einem ruhigen Villen Viertel etwas ausserhalb von El Mèdano. Gefallen hat uns der geheizte Pool, der zum morgendlichen baden eingeladen hat. Die Einrichtung hatte alles was zum täglichen Gebrauch erforderlich ist. Eine Reinigung des Hauses und des Pools fand wöchentlich statt. Pauline war sehr hilfsbereit und die Übergabe hat perfekt geklappt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Die Beschreibung sowie die Fotos geben exakt die Realität wieder. Das Haus ist sauber, liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend und ist mit allem ausgestattet, dass man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Wifi funktioniert tadellos, die Betten sind sehr bequem. Einzig die Sonnenliegen sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnten mal erneuert werden. Dies ist aber der einzige Kritikpunkt. Pauline ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin. Sie hat schon ein paar Tage vorher per Whatsapp Kontakt aufgenommen, um die Ankunftszeit abzustimmen. So war auch ein früherer Check-in möglich.

Fantastic winter sun break

Just returned from a Halloween/midterm break. The property really is lovely, everything you could possibly want, 3 bedrooms, great wifi, satellite TV, and don't forget the pool!! The location is great too, a very different experience to other Canarian holidays, a really authentic Spanish village, great meals out, beach on the doorstep, a really nice experience. PS, the new bed in the master bedroom is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Made for a great recharge. Also only a 10 min drive from the airport. (TFS)

Wir waren im März mit 5 Personen für eine Woche dort. Das Haus war gut ausgestattet und sauber. Der Pool war für diese Jahreszeit richtig. Pauline war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat unsere Wünsche prompt erfüllt. Der Strand war nicht weit und gut erreichbar. Alles in allem ein schöner Urlaub.

The balcony is a fantastic sun trap. Its the first time we have had a heated pool which was great for an early morning swim. The local supermarket at the Arenas hotel had most essentials and the hipo dino supermarket in el medano stocked everything else you might need. The walk into el medano was a definite 20-25 min walk, but as we enjoy walking this was no problem. Pauline was a great host and willing to help with anything. Thanks to Andreas for helping 2 tecnophobes with the Wi-Fi. Will certainly be coming back in 2019.

Lovely villa

We were met by Pauline, who was fantastic, she showed us around and answered any questions we had. The villa is situated in a quiet cul de sac with plenty of parking. You can see the sea from the upstairs bedroom balcony in all directions. We immediately noticed that the villa is well laid out and clean. There are two downstairs bedrooms and a large upstairs ensuite room with large balcony (inc. a safe for valuables). There are 6 sunbeds and some chairs outside along with two parasols. The heated pool is great for an early morning dip. The Jacuzzi jets were a big hit. We loved the fact that the pool overflows – it certainly does keep pool clean. Pool area is very private and pool is in full sun until about 4pm – but there are terraced area’s with sun until about 7pm. El Medano is a lovely resort but quite breezy (hence great for windsurfers) and with some lovely beaches. The huge advantage of this constant breeze is that it keeps you cool during the day and also keeps villa cool - the nights were comfortable for sleeping. There is a small supermarket about 10 mins walk down the road – El Medano centre is about 20-30 mins walk. We had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed our stay here. Thanks Pauline for a great stay in a lovely villa (and thanks for the beers).

Nice compact villa, spotlessly clean & welcoming. Met by Pauline who could not have been more helpful. Walked into town every day, ( blown in sometimes!) found some lovely tapas & seafood restaurants. We did not hire a car, got a taxi from airport, walked everywhere & used the supermarket by the hotel Arenas which was very well stocked.

We both had a brilliant time staying at Pauline's Chocolate Box Villa. Pauline was extremely welcoming and helpful. The villa had everything you could possibly need for a totally relaxing holiday. Lovely property, extremely well presented and maintained situated in a quiet residential area.

Our host Pauline has maintained the property at a very high level. We wanted for nothing. Between the pool, the front yard and the roof top terrace we had so many options. Pauline was extremely helpful and friendly while totally professional.

My name is Pauline Martinez Trickey, born in Somerset, England, brought up in Scotland (where my family still live). After having spent 17 years in Geneva I moved to El Medano in 1998, a dream I'd had for about 15 years. 27 years on, here I am, extremely content on my island in the sun, in El Medano, receiving people from all over the world to our village, and very happy to do so.

Why they chose this property

With my mum, while walking one night in 1989, we fell upon a few houses scattered around near the beach at Pelada. One looked empty, so, being nosey by nature (it's a female thing), we looked through the windows when someone came up behind us asking if we were interested in buying. When we were allowed into the property both my mum and I fell instantly in love with it.
In 2005 I added a top floor and swimming pool; in 2025 the house underwent an extensive renovation making it into a gorgeous, clean-line, modern villa with 130m2 living area, 190m2 outdoor areas

What makes this property unique

Since the renovation, there are so many wonderful things to love in Las Rosas, the clean lines, the airiness, space, light, comfortable designer loungers, the expansive outdoor areas 190m2 The fact that there is a very private heated pool with jacuzzi, 40m2 sun terrace facing the ocean and with a lovely sandy beach just 3 minutes away helps too!
