The clough is a great little cottage in a lovely location. We stayed whilst we were having work done on our house and the hosts made us feel very welcome and were very attentive. The cottage itself is lovely and well equipped and I’d definitely recommend a stay there.
We had a lovely stay (from Australia) in this quiet cottage right in the English countryside with scenic views and lots of places to walk into Derbyshire.

Thank you so much Rachel, it was lovely to meet you and delighted you were comfortable. Enjoy the rest of your stay in the UK
The property is exactly as advertised. A perfect spot to access the Peak District and also the city of Sheffield. The property is very nice and in a peaceful rural location. Communication from the owner was spot-on. All-in-all a lovely stay.
The cottage was just right for our 1 month stay in Sheffield. The owners were helpful and friendly. Our dog loved the big lawn to run for the ball.

Fantastic location!
We loved staying at The Clough. It was a perfect location for getting into the city, over to Hillsborough for my son to meet his football heroes as well as getting out to Derbyshire. The house was really lovely and warm as it was quite a cold weekend when we visited. It’s always good when you rent a place that has a well equipped kitchen. It meant we weren’t constantly washing up plates or glasses and we happily cooked various meals in the kitchen. We are hoping that we can visit again soon!
We chose this cottage as it is well placed both for visiting family in Sheffield and benefitting from the countryside in the Peak District. There are pleasant walks right from the front door. The cottage is clean and very well equipped, and we would certainly recommend it to others.
We chose the first really warm & sunny wkd this year. Love cottage well equipped Hope to go back.
Hassle free access to key & property. Lots of useful info about cottage facilities and local walks/shops/eateries. Having a small fully fenced garden made life so much easier with my young dog. Lots of birdsong & green views. Walking boots essential to enjoy local right of ways.
I really loved staying in this fabulous, warm and very homely cottage. It had everything I needed and more. It was equally close to local shops as well as the beautiful surrounding countryside, which I enjoyed walking around every day.
It was great to drive to nearby places like Derwent Reservoir and Chatsworth Park, which my visitors and I thoroughly enjoyed.
Bre and Neil were very welcoming, as was their lovely dog Fica, and it was lovely to meet the new puppy Tarla. I was very sorry when I had to move on, and I would highly recommend The Clough.

Thanks Shirley, good luck in finding somewhere long- term Bre
The Clough was a great base from which we explored the surroundings each day. It had everything we needed and more. Hosts were friendly and helpful with advice, would recommend. Thanks.
We had a wonderful time staying at Clough Cottage. It has a brilliantly equipped kitchen, comfy sofas for relaxing, and a lovely outside eating area. The location is perfect, half way between the city and the Peak District. Handover was easy and the cottage was clean, so it felt safe in these COVID-times. We can’t wait to return!
Two friends and I had a weekend up in the Peak District. We loved Bre's house, amazing place with a great patio area out the back of the house overlooking the country side. We really enjoyed out stay :)
This was more than comfortable and spacious. The location is great, just outside the park in a quiet neighbourhood. The kitchen is VERY well stocked, along with the whole place. Loved that we could walk out the door for a short walk and some animals. Bre and her husband were very kind and helpful.
Sensationelle englische Ferienwohnung in einer sehr idyllischen countryside. Super nette Vermieter. Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert, Manfred
The Clough exceeded our expectations and scored highly on every aspect. Communication with the owners as excellent and checking in was easy after a long journey there. The property is In immaculate condition with a very well equipped kitchen that made cooking easy. The location was perfect for driving my daughter daily into Sheffield (15 minutes) yet the Peak District was just a short hop away for days out.

It is one of the best places we have stayed in.
Very clean and comfortable accommodation a quality place and caring owners. Some small issues with shower water not being completely sealed in the bathroom and some black discolouration in places but not a big problem would certainly go there again.

Perfect place for grandson’s half term holiday - great location and lovely house.
From the moment we entered the front door it was obviously what we wanted. The house was clean, stylish and very well equipped. The owners were friendly and helpful. We managed our two dogs with ease - the fence enclosing the small garden needs a little attention but not a major problem. We would certainly consider staying at The Clough again.

Lovely house, outstanding location and wonderful hosts!
We booked a last minute stay for our family of 4 plus our dogs. Bre kindly let us borrow her grandchild's travel cot and high chair which made things much simpler for us and our 14 month old. Not only that but on arrival Bre and Neil had set up a wendy house and tractor toy that belong to their grandchildren for our children to use, which was very thoughtful and kind. The house itself is spacious and very well equipped (lots of good cooking items including knives that are actually sharp! The dishwasher, washing machine and drier made life easy too) with a lovely garden table and lawn to enjoy looking out onto fields - the whole area was quiet and serene. The entrance hall has doormat type carpet and leads to a cloakroom with tiled floor which gives ample space to take of wet gear before going into the house proper, and these are many coat hooks and shoe rack. We found this area extremely useful for drying the dogs and generally stopping wet clothes/shoes from ending up in the house! The good sized bathroom was also great for family bath time, with a big bath and lots of space to move around. There are lots of quiet country lane walks right outside the property which was great for quick morning/evening walks with the family and dogs. The house is also only ~15 min from many large shops, ~5 min from a post office and smaller supermarket and only ~10 min from the car park at the top of Burbage valley, giving quick access to the valley and also the incredible Stanage Edge. This area of the Peaks is so densely packed with interesting things to do, from climbing, walking, enjoying small villages, historic sites, cycling etc. and the Clough puts you withing easy reach of it all. Bre checked in with us a couple of times during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed which was greatly appreciated, and she kindly allowed us to extend our visit by an extra night as we didn't want to leave! We would definitely come here again as it was a lovely place to stay and Bre and Neil were great hosts. Thanks for having us!
