Tubbs Delight is a cozy furnished 3 bed bungalow with incredible views in the heart of the stunning South Devon countryside. In the quiet village of Malborough, with 2 pubs, a shop and a post office only a few minutes walk away. Large decked patio with fantastic panoramic countryside view and a sunken 5 person Spa pool (spa available subject to conditions & additional charge). We are totally dog friendly. With plenty of walking from the door, and the nearest footpath takes you down to the coast at Hope Cove. South Devon AONB (Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty) has 232 miles of public footpaths. Tubbs Delight is a Walkers are welcome property with a drying area for wet muddy clothes and shoes, a washing machine and dryer, an outside tap for cleaning.

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

When departing from the bungalow, please ensure all windows are left shut with blinds down and the cords wrapped around the cleats and the curtains closed.

The fridge and freezer (in the garage) should be switched off with the doors open. Can you please ensure you take all your belongings home.

Please leave open internal doors (except garage) and switch off all appliances and lights. Please drop the keys back into the key safe and change the combination to NOT show the code.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Staying at Tubbs Delight

Lovely spacious Bungalow with amazing views and everything you need to enjoy a relaxing break. Lot's of places nearby to explore and not too far from larger towns for a day would highly recommend for a lovely holiday.

Great place, clean, tidy and spacious

Tubbs Delight is a great place to stay, the views from the rear are amazing and the hot tub is a definite plus. Its spacious and well laid out with room for families and pets. I’d recommend it to anyone looking a quite place to base themselves. Note to owners, the crockery situation was a little on the sparse side but not much of an issue if you intend eating out most of the time Overall an enjoyable experience.

Tubbs Delight has been looked after by the same family since it was built in the 1960's. It has always been a great family self catering holiday rental in Devon. The second generation now maintains the property and it has changed immensely from its humble beginnings. Tubbs Delight is constantly being refurbished and updated. I have tried to make the bungalow as comfortable as I can for you as it is important to me that you enjoy your holiday. Having lived there as a child I consider Tubbs Delight my baby and love relaxing down there. For me its a get way from the phone, WiFi and computer (although you don't have to) and its a chance to go walking in the countryside and rock pool investigating on the beach.

Why they chose this property

"Far from the madding crowd" is exactly how I would describe Tubbs Delight. Even more so in the Winter when you can see snow on Dartmoor.
My parents bought it as a family getaway. They loved the village, countryside and beaches. The village is self supporting with the co-op shop so you can just arrive and sit out looking at the view all day long.

What makes this property unique

It is the view from the rear of the property which is breathtaking and has not changed in decades.

The decking from the lounge houses the 5 person jacuzzi (which is available at an additional cost and subject to conditions) and its amazing how many stars you can see at night.

If you are an ardent walker (with or without a dog) you hardly need to use the car. Tubbs delight is a Walkers are welcome property with a drying area for wet muddy clothes and shoes, a washing machine and dryer, an outside tap for cleaning and a jacuzzi for relaxing those aching limbs.

Tubbs Delight is a sustainable home with cavity wall insulation, heat recovery system, PV and Solar hot water. I am working towards a carbon zero holiday home.
