We had a great stay in Penryn. House was very clean and well equipped with enough space for all our large family visiting the university. We especially enjoyed the incredible views out over Penryn and the harbour.
Great location for exploring area, well equipped with essentials provided. Ideal for families with children. Comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely stay, clean, enough space to hang out, nice books and games for kids. Lovely view from top windows. Nice location if you have a car and want to explore. NOTE: there is no dishwasher, not very convenient for 9 people staying and making meals. Also, one bedroom and bathroom are in an annex. Great if you are staying with extended family such as grandparents, not so great if you Intended a child to use one of the bedrooms as it’s completely removed from the “main house”.
The house was terrifically clean and comfortable upon arrival - cozy and homely, and not burdened by unnecessary décor that would have been challenging with our small children in tow (ages 2 & 3). Absolutely everything we needed was easily available, from bedding and soft towels to kitchenwares, et cetera. Additionally, the house was located in an ideal spot - so many things within a very short drive. Bonus: a great little playpark right down the block for when the kids needed to stretch out.
Anna was a very thoughtful, proactive host who offered us all the information and kindness we needed to have a really comfortable stay.
There were child gates installed on the stairs, making safety a non-concern for our group (a huge relief) and the annex on the first floor was the perfect spot for grandmother to be. We had 4 generations under one roof, with room for all to gather at the table or in the living room, and also room to comfortably retreat to their separate spaces.
The views are still making my heart smile.
Can't think of a single detail that wasn't catered to or delivered upon. Really, one of the best locations, stays, and hosts we've had in Cornwall. Thank you, Anna!
Superb house with a little granny flat which was ideal for mum. Good location, spotless house and all the bits you need. Could not fault it.
Anna was a superb host with great communication!
From booking to leaving , the communication with the owner was fantastic. The host offered up plenty of advice and options for things to do in the local area. Nearby Falmouth has some good little beaches and the Penryn location was ideal for visiting all the Cornish tourist sights. Very clean and spacious accommodation, we were a party of 9 and enjoyed the use of both the house and the adjoining flat. Plenty of room for all. Would highly recommend.
This is a good family home, and the annexe proved very useful not only as a sleeping area but for somewhere a little more quiet from the children. There are great views across the estuary from the rooms at the front of the house. There was a vast DVD library which was used and appreciated on wet days. The house is in a great location to access locations on both Cornish coasts. Our Host Anna, was an excellent communicator. All in all, a lovely holiday location and home.

Thanks for your lovely review Avril, it was a pleasure hosting you and your family.
Lovely spacious clean family home from home!
Was perfect for a large family of all ages, well equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable. Space for parking and keeping our bikes which was a real bonus. Great location as a base for falmouth and surrounding areas. Homeowner was really helpful and prompt with any queries we had. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing stay :)

Thanks Rachel, glad you had a good stay and enjoyed the house 😁
property is a nice spacious semi detached period house with annex to the side. it is well proportioned for our family of 9 and is well suited for day trips in the area, Falmouth it self is only 15 minutes or so drive but there is also the village of Penryn which is easy walk for some shopping essentials if needed and has an Asda a short drive to the north.
The property was spacious and well equipped. The location was perfect, lots of shops and places to eat close by. Penryn was very quaint and nearby Falmouth very lively. The house was very comfortable and has beautiful views down to the estuary. Communication with the homeowner was excellent and very helpful. We were a party of 9 and had the house and additional anexe and was perfect!

A week in Penryn with 6 adults and 2 small children
The house is well situated up on the hill above Penryn with lovely views of the estuary. It was all clean and in good order although several of the kitchen pans were losing their handles. We had trouble with the electric oven as markings for the settings had worn off and we could not heat things properly. The family fitted well into the various rooms although only one bathroom for this number is tight. The original details of the property stressed a 5 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms and it only became clear later that the annexe and bathroom were hired out separately. The garden and slide and toys were greatly appreciated by the two and a half year old! We enjoyed going by park and float boats to Falmouth, St Mates and Trelissick and walking down to Jubilee wharf cafe.

Beautiful view from the front room, plenty of space for large groups
We were a group of 9 adults and 1 baby. There was space for everyone. The annex worked perfectly for my husband and I with our baby as we could keep all the baby stuff out of the main house.
A few minor issues were rectified immediately once I spoke to the owners.
There is no BBQ which we made the mistake of assuming there would be and the outside seating area is small but by opening up the patio doors we could fit.

great family house
We stayed for 3 nights in september. The owners were very accomodating in giving us a short break. The house is in a great position with fantastic views over the harbour and easy access to the local supermarket and falmouth. The accommodation is of a good standard although the chairs in the living room could maybe do with updating. There were lots of games and children's books which were great for keeping the kids amused in the rain.

Falmouth holiday
The house was as described, very spacious and clean, the kitchen was great as was the main bedroom and it has a great view down to the harbour.
The train station is a five minute walk from the house so you don't have to worry about driving everywhere, all in all a great family home for holidays.

Lovely Family Holiday
We found this house was perfect for our family holiday consisting of four adults and two children under ten. The house itself was very clean and very well presented, with enough room to sit everyone at the dinning table for a family meal. There's a great view of the penryn river and harbours from the lounge and front bedrooms. The location gave easy access to Falmouth and nearby beaches, as well as local attractions such as Glendurgan and Trebah gardens. Both are worth a visit to keep kids entertained with exploring the trails, clambering around like monkeys and paddling in the water as both gardens have pebble beaches at the bottom of the valley. Also worth a mention is the nearby Lemon Arms at Mylor, with lovely homemade food and fresh seafood. Like the Pandora Inn, you will need to phone ahead to book a table.

Why they chose this property
This house is an ideal mix of town and rural living. Beautiful sea views and surrounding countryside but still a short walk to town. A really vibrant and eclectic local community. It is ideally placed to explore both the rocky North Coast and the quaint South Coast. Some of Cornwall's iconic attractions are just a stones throw away.
What makes this property unique
Trematon is a large property of five rooms including the attached annexe. Both the house and the annexe are self-contained with their own facilities (kitchen, bathroom, lounge etc). They share the same front door but have separate entrances into each area. This makes them ideal for large groups enjoying time away together but where one couple can have a bit of quiet time if needed.
