Stunning

Casa Nova is a charming place to spend a holiday. The property managers Remco and Lieselot couldn't have been more helpful and the owner Sarah dealt with our booking very smoothly. We particularly enjoyed the peacefulness, away from tourist locations and a chance to, see the real Portugal. Boliqueime is a great destination. We'll definitely be back. What a fabulous place!

We had a wonderful time in this very beautiful little house.

We spend in this house 9 days of our vacation. It was very beautiful. Everything what we Need was there. The pool is fantastic. The area is beautiful and calm. A relaxing tranquil and comfortable haven!

Having just returned from a three week stay in Casa Nova we are completely recharged and relaxed. The villa is perfectly positioned as a base to explore the Algarve both the local towns and beaches, we found that a car is essential to do this. The villa is very comfortable with the outside area & pool much larger than the photos suggest, the views to the coast are fantastic, we spent most of our time outside!! We were also very well looked after by Remco and the maid who kept everything spotless. We would definitely love to return and will certainly recommend Casa Nova to friends and family. We will remember our 2018 summer holiday very fondly and one where we were able to relax and chill out, we could have stayed for three more weeks! Thank you Sarah for letting us stay in your lovely villa!

Amazing villa, 10/10. We just love this place

Casa Nova has become a very special place to us after our 2nd visit. The villa is comfortable, and very well equipped. I've never stayed anywhere that is so peaceful, tranquil and relaxing. On arrival, the directions are very good and Remco was there to welcome us and give us any holiday tips. The property was always clean and the maid service very good and regular. Sarah, the owner was very helpful too and I would totally recommend this property. It was lovely having our own pool although that was a tad chilly at times. I love sitting outside of an evening, and at times we would hear an owl twit twooing. A car is recommended, we used ZitAuto both times. We visited local towns like Loule and Alberverira and a couple of beaches and many lovely restaurants, from both holidays we have already got our favourites. We cant remember the names but if you do get to visit Casa Nova I've done a long note in the visitors book, of restaurants we loved, I just couldn't stop ;-). I also really enjoyed cooking in for us, with everything that is required in the kitchin, including chilled wine to keep the chef going. I hope we get to return to Casa Nova soon and wish anybody who goes there a very happy holiday.

Fantastic villa

Villa Casa Nova is a beautiful villa set in a lovely, and very peaceful, rural setting. We are a family of four with two teenage boys and the villa had everything. Very spacious and fully equipped inside, with lots of good quality loungers and parasols outside. The wi-fi was extremely good and was constantly used by the boys when they were not in the pool. The villa manager Remco and the cleaner Sao were extremely friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. The owner Sarah was brilliant from the start of the booking providing us with lots of information on the Covid situation in the Algarve as well as helpful information on the local area. All in all a fantastic villa in a great setting and one that we would highly recommend.

Alleen maar genieten!

Wij hebben eigenlijk de woning niet vaak verlaten omdat we het er zo fijn vonden. Wij hebben als stel niet vaak de kans samen te zijn omdat we niet in hetzelfde land wonen, maar in dit huis konden we helemaal privé van het samenzijn genieten. Barbecuen, zwemmen, zonnen, alleen maar genieten!

Fantastic private detached villa and pool!

We have just spent a fortnight in this fabulous villa and can’t rate it highly enough. It was much more spacious and light than we were expecting, and superbly equipped for guests, spotlessly clean and really well thought out for a lovely stay. The owner Sarah was so helpful and friendly; she provided us with lots of useful information and was really lovely in organising our stay, also helping us to access the villa earlier on our arrival which was brilliant. Remco, the property manager, was great too, as was the lovely cleaning lady. Remco spoke brilliant English, he met us and showed us around and was really informative about the local area, and also checked to see we were okay during our stay. The property itself is idyllic, light, spacious and larger than it appears in the photos. It is surrounded on 3 sides by a totally private patio with a lovely pool, and also has a huge upstairs terrace with lovely views out to the sea over fields. The WiFi worked really well which made our 2 sons (15 and 11) happy! There was air conditioning in both bedrooms plus the living room which we really appreciated in the height of summer. We have rented villas previously which have advertised air conditioning but have only had it in the living room or main bedroom so it was a real bonus to have it in all of the rooms. One of the loveliest things about this villa is that you can tell it is well thought out and loved by the owners rather than simply being used for holiday rentals. Things such as comfortable beds and sun loungers (rather than just very basic as we have sometimes found in properties used for rental only) and everything you could need was provided. This felt like a home that was loved by the owners and we really appreciated how well cared for and comfortable it was. It really is a total slice of heaven and relaxation and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others or to stay again ourselves. It really says something about a property when the guest book is full of returning guests! Hopefully we will be one of them too! We’ve had a brilliant holiday and send our thanks to owner Sarah for letting us stay in your beautiful villa 😊

Nous avons passé de très bonne vacances dans cette maison. Elle est très jolie, l'extérieur est très sympa avec la piscine. Lieu tranquille (sans aucun vis à vis) avec une vue magnifique sur l'océan. Un vrai bonheur. La maison est équipée de tout ce qu'il faut, nous avons manqué de rien. La maison est propre et fonctionnelle. Nous reviendrons!!

Lovely house with pool. Private and quiet area. Car necessary.

This property is private with private pool. Very lovely house. House is clean and the master bedroom is upstairs with a private roof terrace. The pool is not heated. Not able to sit inside the pool (weather temperatures were 19 & 20 & 21 degrees) but I did dip feet in while enjoying the private outside space. The area is quiet and peaceful. In my opinion a car is necessary. Nearest beach was felasia beach (15-20 mins drive) which was always quiet and lovely sand, lots of steps to get down to beach. Lidl and Aldi 5-10 mins drive in boliqueime. Shopping centres have bigger supermarkets inside. Albufeira tourist area is not far if driving and has lots of restaurants, bars and escalators to take you down to the beach. In Albufeira we had to pay for parking in a multi-storey car park. The road leading up to the house is a narrow single track road but it is only used by the few houses nearby and we rarely saw another car on this road. Our flight arrived in the morning and we were able to get into the house earlier than stated as the house was vacant the day prior. Communication with owner was good and we were sent detailed information before visit. Kitchen has pots pans utensils cooker and fridge freezer and kettle. Lots of restaurants in the shopping centres too. Overall I would recommend to a friend. I would recommend a car. Can get chilly at night. We enjoyed our time here with 3 year old child. Very lovely house. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Villa très confortable dans un environnement à la fois habité et paisible avec une vue dominant un jardin d'arbres fruitiers et la mer à l'horizon. Très bien situé au centre de la Côte de l'Algarve, permettant de l'explorer à la fois à l'est comme à l'ouest. Bon service de la part de Ramco. À conseiller pour ceux qui veulent découvrir la région.

Blissful getaway in a wonderful location

Casa Nova was one of the loveliest places to relax in. A beautiful villa in a quiet, peaceful location surrounded by olive, lime, fig and almond trees. Everything you needed for your stay was available, it was hot when we stayed, so we ate outside every evening - the BBQ was a great asset and the kitchen was well kitted out and well stocked to meet all our cooking needs. The house is very clean, with a lovely decor - and when it was chilly in the evening, it was really cosy inside. The tiles in the bathroom were great! Some of the best bits of the stay was the outside space - there was only two of us, but if there were more, we imagine having the terrace from the master bedroom upstairs as well as the 'ground floor' area, would avoid making the space feel too crowded. The pool was brilliant, cool and clean - much needed after too much sun! We chose to stay at the villa after a busy stint in Lisbon a few days before, so we didn't go out much. Saying that, we wandering down to the village and ventured to Loulé for a couple of hours; The village is small, but has a couple of cafés and bars, small supermarkets and a good looking fishmongers which only opened for a few hours each day. Loulé had a food market selling lots of fruit, meat and fish as well as some good wine! Communication with Sarah was brilliant- very easy and she quickly answered questions and offered some excellent information about the area and gave very clear directions to the property. While Sarah was not in Portugal at the time, Remco greeted us on our arrival and was very welcoming and answered any questions we had as well as being just phone call away. I would highly recommend this listing as somewhere to stay, it was everything that was needed for a very relaxing getaway. Thank you Sarah!

Absolutely perfect

Very simple to book and Sarah was really helpful with answering various questions. The team once in Portugal were excellent. The villa was clean and kept clean, plentiful towels and support/questions answered quickly. The villa was simply perfect. It had everything you could need/want and was so pretty. We spent the majority of time outside and the pool was fantastic. The views from the villa are also lovely all helped by wall to wall sunshie and a lovely breeze. The area is great, plenty to do including keeping 17 and 15 year old girls occupied. Fab beaches, crazy golf, shopping, watersports, caves, great restaurants and pretty villages. We can't sing the area and the villa's praises more highly

Amazing!!!!

Casa Nova is a rare find. Set in a beautiful, tranquil country setting, yet close to bars, cafes and restaurants this was a perfect slice of heaven for us. Remco the manager was great: helpful and informative about the area but respectful of our privacy and the cleaning lady is lovely! Sitting on the roof terrace with a cold glass of white wine enjoying the setting sun and sea views was utter bliss. We can't wait to book again for next year.

Defenitly a home away from home!

My husband and I had a wonderfull time in Villa Nova. We were welcomed by Remco, who is Dutch as we are, and he showed us around, gave us great tips where to eat and what to see. He made us feel very welcome. Also with Sarah it was very nice communicating. The villa and the pool are well maintained and we did't miss anything (internet connection is excellent by the way). Boliquieme is a friendly and quiet village. We liked it a lot. From the villa you can walk down to the village, but it is at least 20 minutes. We had a car for shopping and sightseeing. We would certainly like to stay in the villa again and recommend it to our friends. Thanks for letting us stay in you beautifull home.

Wonderful villa!

From the moment we arrived, we felt any stresses melting away. Casa Nova is truly a little slice of heaven. The house is welcoming and cozy with every amenity you could ask for and it is just SO pretty. We found it the perfect oasis to return to after a busy day of exploring the beaches or the nearby villages and it was also the perfect oasis to do nothing at all but to stay poolside and look out at the lovely view to the sea. Morning coffee on the terrace and a glass of Vinho Verde on the upstairs patio at sunset became an easy tradition. Remco, the house manager, was so kind and welcoming and the house was spotless - thank you, Sao. It goes without saying that we didn't want to leave but would certainly love to return. So relaxing!

Beautiful villa with roof terrace views over fields to the sea. So pretty with all the spring flowers and the shepherd visiting with his flock. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking cosy evening meals, but we also enjoyed the restaurants in and around Boliqueime. The beach at Falesia a short drive away became a favourite but others days we just chilled at Casa Nova, reading books, sitting in the flowery garden and listening to the birds. Highly recommended.

Beautiful rustic villa, spacious with lovely views

A beautiful villa that feels like a home from home, with lovely rustic details. The villa and outside terraces are spacious and the pool is just right for cooling off in, our little boy really loved it! It's handily located no more than 30 mins drive from Faro airport with a range of great beaches nearby. It's a quiet rural location just outside the village with restaurants in and around the village. The kitchen is large and well equipped so great for eating home at night and enjoying the views of the olive groves and sea. The vila was cleaned once in the week while we were there, providing us with fresh linen and towels. There were plenty of extra towels too for taking to the beach. I would highly recommend to friends and family.

Private and secluded

The place is well located and very private, with a gorgeous view. The wifi and air conditioning were both invaluable to help to stay cool out of the midday sun, it was very hot. We had a little tootle around the area but to be honest, the holiday was primarily to relax and chill, which we achieved fully! We received very useful booking confirmation and additional holiday information prior to leaving.

Wonderful villa for a relaxing holiday

My husband and I had an excellent ten days at Casa Nova. The villa is well maintained and has everything you need. It´s perfect for a couple but would suit a family of four as well. The area, Malhadais, just outside Boliquieme is beautiful, quiet and peaceful and a perfect base for exploring the rest of the Algarve. The view from the terrace is stunning, you can see all the way to the Atlantic. Walking down to Boliquieme only takes about 20 minutes. There you can find both restaurants and cafés. But you do need a car to get around. We spent many relaxing afternoons around the pool which was just great after a day full of activities. The owner, Sarah, was very friendly and helpful from the start. She responded to emails right away and a few weeks prior to our holiday she sent a whole folder with information about the house and the Algarve. When we arrived at Casa Nova we were met by Remco, the house manager. He showed us around the house and gave us information about the area. If we needed help with anything he was just a call away. Our ten days passed to quickly and it was hard to tear ourselves away when it was time go back home. We will definitely come back again!

Rural paradise

From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Every little need was catered for along with a very welcome bottle of wine. The villa is beautifully maintained and so comfortable. The views from the ground terrace and the bedroom terrace are breathtaking and so lovely to be able to take a stroll where fields of wild flowers are in abundance. A perfect retreat yet all amenities are close by. Can't wait to return. We have recommended Casa Nova to all our family and friends. A huge thanks to Sarah and Remco for meeting and greeting us.

Villa Casa Nova is a pretty little villa on a hill above a typically Portuguese village, with a beautiful view down to the coast. It's ideal if you want to get away from the chaos of life, but close enough to the coast to dip in and out of the busier tourist areas as and when you want. The villa is well maintained, has all the mod cons, a nice little pool and a great terrace for lying in the sun with a book. The nearby village of Boliqueime has everything you need for provisions and some good cafés and restaurants, and it's walking distance even with a steep hill on the way home. You do need a car to get around (or get up the hill after dinner!), but if you don't want to hire one we left a card on the pin board of the local driver that we found and the overall cost for the week including airport runs was about the same.

Wonderful rural retreat in the sun

We had a wonderful time at Casa Nova. The house was everything that we expected. It is very well maintained, was spotlessly clean and has lovely furniture. The house manager was very friendly and helpful. It was really nice relaxing by the pool looking at the almond and fig trees and the sea in the distance. Excellent traditional restaurants and stunning beaches are within easy driving distance. The visitor guidebook is a goldmine for ideas. We would highly recommend Casa Nova to anybody looking for an authentic Portugese experience. We are planning to return.

We are sisters Lesley-Anne and Sarah and Casa Nova was handed down to us by our mother. We both live near the sea on the South Coast in England and try and get out to the Algarve as much as possible.

Why they chose this property

Set in the peace and tranquillity of Malhadais, just outside the bustling village of Boliqueime, Casa Nova’s location couldn’t be more perfect. As an artist and writer respectively, we crave the space, light and seclusion of its rural setting and have enjoyed many wonderful holidays here with family and friends. The villa is equipped with everything you should need for a memorable holiday and its pool and gardens are totally private.
