Cosy Terraced Cottage, Peaceful Rural Setting Close to Lovely Beaches
About Christine Yeates
This is a much loved holiday home that has been in the family for fifteen years and is used by us regularly through the year. The parents, the kids, and the grannies all love it.
Christine Yeates purchased this Cottage in 1996
Why Christine Yeates chose Gwinear-Gwithian
Our cottage is cosy and peaceful no matter what time of year. We love curling up in front of the fire after bracing clifftop walks in winter and enjoying a BBQ with views across the fields to the sea after a long days on the beach in summer. The sunsets are breathtaking.
What makes this Cottage unique
We love the beaches, trips to St Ives, and walks on the beautiful West Cornwall cliffs. Such a lovely place to be in all seasons.

Two bed cottage in Gwinear
This property is in a very small village with just one through road. There is a pub across the road which does lovely food and are very welcoming.
I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay and visited our friendly local pub. It is the heart of our little community! Thank you for choosing Gwinear. We hope to welcome you again.
Conveniently situated between the beach and Praze.
We chose this property because it looked cosy and in a good position.
We were not disappointed.
We are so glad we lived up to expectation, Gerry!
A lovely home from home
This is a brilliant place to stay - feels like a real home-from-home loved by the family who owns it, not just an impersonal hotel-like ambiance.
The small and friendly village is very welcoming and it is easy to get from the cottage to many of the wonderful destinations in this part of Cornwall. We had a wonderful holiday.
I am really pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We want our guests to feel at home and hope to welcome you again one day.
A happy holiday cottage
This is a comfortable, well equipped three bedroom’s cottage. Very pleasant Cornish atmosphere created with thoughtful décor. Just 6 miles to St Ives on a delightful train running along St Ives Bay.
Wonderful coastal walks and always the beautiful blue Cornish sea in full view. Golden sandy beaches nearby with plenty NationalTrust Parking.
We enjoy the many Galleries in this part of Cornwall.
All of this and more is within easy reach of 43 Churchtown
I’m already looking forward to my next visit.
We are so happy that you had a good holiday. Please come back soon. Chrissy
This was ideal for our flying visit. The property was very clean & had all the things we required. Both Christine & Sue were really helpful, especially given our less than straight forward circumstances. Hope to come back for longer next time.
I am so pleased you had a comfy stay and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Clean & tidy with a lovely atmosphere!!
I’ve been to Gwinear for many years & have many happy memories!! Lovely to visit Zennor, St Ives on the train, the Minack, eat lovely food and sleep soundly in comfy beds, top marks!!
2 miles to Hayle Towans beach (3 miles of stunning golden sands) and around 4 miles to St Ives/Carbis Bay beach.
Car recommended. Parking on roadside to front of cottage.
Hayle is 1.5 miles away, and St Ives is 5 miles (a nice little coastal train can take you there). The Eden Project is about 40 minutes drive. Penzance is 8 miles, Mousehole 10 miles, St Michael’s Mount 5 miles, and Lands End 16 miles away.
The nearest town is Hayle with a large M & S, Boots, Next, Costa Coffee, Co-op, Asda and Lidl. The town also has lots of independent shops for gifts, surf gear, toys and sweets. There is a wide range of cafes and restaurants plus excellent pasties and fish and chips. For the children there is a big playground and the Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary with an indoor play area. The estuary is a popular spot for bird-watchers.
