About this property

Georgian House with Indoor Swimming Pool

We welcome celebrations such as Birthdays, family gatherings and friend gettaways. The House is located next to Willsbridge Mill which was once the site of Milling, Mining and a Coal Dramway. It is now owned by the Avon Wildlife Trust and is a protected area providing pleasant walks and environment eduction for local school children. Within 6 miles in each direction are the cities of Bath and Bristol. Bath and the surrounding area is brimming with things to see and do. Designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Bath presents some of the finest architectural sights in Europe such as the Royal Crescent, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge alongside a diverse collection of museums and attractions including the Roman Baths, Jane Austen Centre and Thermae Bath Spa. Bath’s compact city centre offers irresistible shopping and there are plenty of activities to enjoy in the surrounding area. Bristol is the city of bridges, balloons, boats, Brunel and Banksy. Sights include The Clifton Suspension Bridge, SS Great Britain, Harbourside and the new M Shed museum.

- for bookings of 13 or 14 guests we place a double sofa bed in the largest of the bedrooms. If you are a party under 13 guests but still wish to utilise the sofa bed please book for 13.

The swimming pool is located at the back of the house and is shared with the neighbouring property (Woodlands). Upon booking you will be offered the exclusive use of the pool during the following hours; either 8am-2pm or 3pm-9pm. We have an automatic timed locking mechanism on the areas leading to and the pool doors so that guests only have access to the pool area during the agreed hours ensuring you have sole use of the pool during your allotted morning or afternoon slot. You will not have visibility of Woodlands guest at any point.
If there are no bookings at Woodlands you will get exclusive use of the pool throughout your stay. Please feel free to send me a message to check on our calendar.
The garden and hot tub are exclusively for your use and are situated to the side and front of the property.

We stayed at Brookhaven house for my sisters hen do. The house made the whole weekend, it was so special, beautiful grounds, amazing facilities, sonos sound system. Couldn’t recommend more for a big group to stay here, we loved it- 20 mins into Bristol town centre too! Thanks Rob x

Lovely home

The property is perfect for a family get together. Lots of space indoors and outdoors. The pool was a huge hit with everyone. The home is well equipped for anything you might need for your stay. Rob is a very responsive and accommodating host.

We stayed here for a week and it was wonderful. Many thanks for sorting us out within 24 hours notice having been let down by a different property. The family had a great time and were never out of the pool. The hot tub was "hot" and all rooms were well equipped and relaxing. The atmosphere was homely and indeed the house was very warm. Gracious Georgian Surprise

Tucked away, at right angles to a busy road, once the automatic gates closed we were in another world. All of us loved the graciously decorated rooms and between pool and hot tub everyone enjoyed swimming and reading, slashing and sipping beside and around each other. Work continues on upgrading older parts of the house/ decor. With the valley walks and train- cycle trail it is well placed for a jolly holiday.

Amazing house, perfect for a hen weekend!

A group of 13 of us stayed here for a hen weekend and it completely surpassed our expectations. The house is even bigger than it looks in the pictures, and they don't do justice to how large and spacious the bedrooms are. The kitchen is the perfect place for the group to gather, and we also had a great evening in the dining room with a private chef cooking for us in the kitchen next door. The beds are super comfy, bathrooms finished to a high standard and there's lots of wardrobe space for hanging clothes. The swimming pool and hot tub meant there was plenty to keep us busy during 'down time'. There is room for several cars to be parked, all within the gated driveway. Rob, the host, is very friendly and communication was excellent. The perfect place for a memorable hen weekend, thank you!

Amazing Georgian house for large get togethers

The house is so much bigger and better than the pics on the VRBO website, the pics just don't do the house justice. A group of 13 of us stayed here for my daughters hen weekend. The house is large, spacious and has all that you need for a large family/friends get together. Plenty of en-suites, plenty of other bathrooms. Large, spacious comfortable bedrooms, with a mix of twin beds, double beds and king size beds plus a really comfortable sofa bed. Fabulous dining room and a large kitchen/diner, along with a large spacious lounge. The pool is amazing, great fun for some water polo, pool games, or just swimming. We were so luck with the eather and were able to use the hot tub most days. We had the best time at Brockham House, thanks Rob for your communication and helpful hints.

A group of 12 of us stayed for a wonderful weekend in June it was an amazing weekend lots of laughs and fabulous memories made. The house was perfect! Rob was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were beautiful, big and the beds were luxurious! I've never stayed anywhere where I didn't have a bad back in the morning from hard beds. We had such a wonderful time there are talks of a hen reunion here next year! Amazing property

I stayed at this property with a group of friends last weekend and wanted to say what a fabulous house this is and what a wonderful weekend we had. It ticked all of the boxes for what we needed. The bedrooms are huge - most (if not all) ensuite, ample parking and good overall facilities with some 'staples' - tea, coffee, sugar, bath towels etc already provided. The host/property owner, Rob, sent lots of useful info before we arrived and was on hand to show us around at check in. The only difficulty we had was in getting the hot tub to heat up to the temperature we wanted... but I expect that was user error rather than a fault with the tub. I hope we will get a chance to stay there again and wouldnt hesitate to recommend this property to others

Fabulous hen party venue

Lovely big house which was ideal for our hen party of 13. The dining room was a perfect size for us all, as was the lounge. The bedrooms were all good sizes with very comfortable beds. All in all, would highly recommend.

Amazing Weekend

Organised this house for a Stag party of 14 of us. The house was exactly what we wanted and more! Everything that we need and more was there. The pool and hot tub were great.. especially given the poor weather over the weekend we stayed! Rob, met us on arrival and showed us around the property and replied instantly with any requests! We were a party of 11 celebrating 3 60th birthdays and it really was a fantastic place! Gt for walks and so near to Bath and Bristol .The swimming pool for water volleyball and hot tub were well used .The house was very well equipped and had a lovely atmosphere. Rob always got back promptly regarding any requests. Would highly recommend staying here.

A fantastic stay

I booked the property for my brother's Stag Party and it was perfect for a group of 11 of us. The house is secluded, with a private drive, but within walking distance to local pubs and easy access to nearby Bristol. The house facilities are second to none and the host was incredibly accomodating. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a weekend away with a group of friends.

Great house for a group stay

I stayed here with some friends for a weekend. Everything was excellent - the house is well equipped with a pool and hot tub, loads of space indoors and outdoors to relax and enjoy. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable too. Would stay again, and highly recommend.

Exceptional House

We stayed at this property for a large family celebration and it was perfect. The house itself is gorgeous, and just right for a sociable gathering. The highlight was the perfectly heated indoor pool, which was very well used, and the outdoor hot tub situated happily next to the BBQ area. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable, so everyone had a good night's sleep. We were met on arrival and assured of nearby assistance should it be required at any time. I wish we had had more time to explore the immediate area because there are lovely walks on hand. We did manage the 20 minute walk along the canal to the nearby Lock Keeper Inn, which was well worth doing. One review mentioned the road outside the house, but we were not conscious of it at all. I can highly recommend a stay at this property and would love to be able to visit again.

A family weekend away

The property was exactly what we wanted and lived up to our expectations. The facilities were ideal for our 3 generation family of 6 adults and 5 children for a 3 night weekend. Leanne, the housekeeper, met us on arrival and showed us around and gave us all the information we needed about the house, and saw us on our way at the end f our stay. If you are expecting a very modern interior, you will be disappointed, but if you like a Victorian large roomed property with some original features, you will be delighted. The house is warm and comfortable, with space to spread out, beds are good, and the kitchen has everything we wanted in abundance, There has clearly been money spent on the décor in many parts of the house, but with such a large property, there is always more that needs to be done. We split into families to go out and about and found things for every bodies taste in both Bath and Bristol,
