About this property

Superb townhouse - spacious, south-facing to pool & gardens, with wifi/aircon.

* Spacious and airy townhouse, traditionally furnished in typical Spanish style.
* Air-conditioned and fully-equipped throughout to a high standard, including patio furniture and items for the beach.
* Additionally fitted with ceiling fans in the two bedrooms, and with electric fan-heaters and oil-filled radiators for the winter.
* Living accommodation is on two floors, having a large tiled terrace and shaded porch area to the front, with a small tiled terrace off the main bedroom.
* Internal stairs lead up to the private tiled roof terrace/solarium, which is ideal for sunbathing during the day, and for eating out at night.
* Each terrace has ample outdoor furniture, from bistro tables/chairs to sun loungers and parasols, and chairs etc for use by the pool and down at the beach.
Note: Our house has high-speed WIFI [providing internet and app-based TV channels], making it also suitable for any home-working if needed.

This two-bedroom/two bathroom south-facing house is complete with a fully-fitted kitchen, spacious lounge with dining area, and comfortable bedrooms. Baby facilities [cot, highchair etc.] are available on request.
Our English keyholder lives nearby and looks after the house; she will have prepared the house for your arrival, will meet/greet you on arrival with the keys, and is available to support you during your stay.

Note: on departure, you will need to settle directly with her at €60, plus €5 per person if 3 to 6 persons for her services and the final laundry.

Location and amenities nearby.
The house is ideally located for a family beach holiday slightly away from the centre of a main resort but with easy access to all amenities.
There are cafes/bars, restaurants, and a number of small shops within 5 mins. walking distance at Carabassi, and the nearest sand dunes and beaches are at the small resort of Las Arenales - just a 15 minute stroll through the El Clot Nature Reserve [or 5 mins by car].
The local tourist road-train [to the beach, and to the Commercial Centre], and buses to Santa Pola and Alicante itself, all depart from opposite the Carabassi cafes/bars etc.
The weekly street market [held on Thursdays] is just a 10-minute stroll from the house, nearby the recently-opened ALDI store and Chino-Bazaar superstore.
Banks, restaurants and bars, and choice of large supermarkets are at the nearby Gran Alacant Commerical Centre [15 minute walk/5 mins by car], and also at the nearby resort of Santa Pola [15 mins by car], with its promenade, fishing harbour and marina, and boat trips out to Tabarca Island.

Gran Alacant Townhouse

Excellent holiday home, with all facilities available and in a great location. Everything you need for a home to home experience is available and the house is very clean. A nice quiet community for a relaxing break with bars and restaurants only a 2-3 minute walk away. Communications with Simon and Alison were great and the information received relating to our stay was very good. We will definitely return again.

Superb Town House - Gran Alicante

Lovely place, gated area, so very safe for children. Nice and clean, value for money. Everything you required is there. Quiet Area close to a few bars and restaurants. There are beaches available but a good half an hour walk, but worth visiting for walking.Recommend if you don't want too much action.

We had a lovely holiday, the house is very clean and well presented. Well located for local amenities, restaurants, bars and the beach. The house had everything to ensure that our stay was a pleasant one, very well equipped. Our communications with Simon during our booking and prior to our arrival was excellent. Just had 4 days at this house, could not fault cleanliness or location or house itself. Short walk to a few bars and Restaurants, a further 20 min walk to an Aldi and another 10 mins walk to more bars and restaurants. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending to other people. Also Alison who looks after the house was fantastic, responded quickly and concisely to any questions I had, also organised our return taxi to the Airport as there are no taxi ranks near the house.

This property is a rare find

This property has everything going for it: Quiet sunny position, with a beautiful view through the trees to the swimming pool. Very well equipped and homely. Near lovely level walks through a natural park. A wide range of excellent restaurants, within a few minutes walk. 15 minutes walk to the beach (off the road) and 10 minutes to coastal buses. 20 minute journey by taxi, to and from the airport, but not in any flight path. An excellent caretaker, Alison, who met us on arrival, arranged our return taxi and helped us settle in by answering all of our questions. This property is a rare find and we highly recommend it to you.

Cozy & Clean Home with everything you need

Had a great stay at the property. It is very clean & tidy. Check in and check out with our Hostess Alison was fantastic. Great communication and recommendations throughout. She even went out of her way to pick something up for me prior to our visit so I didn't have to travel with it. Definitely exceeded any expectations I had. House was great and is exactly as advertised, the restaurants close to the house were some of the best food we experienced in Alicante. Had a great time and we would all stay again should we visit Alicante in the future. Great big thank you to Alison for all her help and communication in advance of and during our stay!

Fabulous house

We have just returned from.spending 2 weeks in this house. We have been to Gran Alacant many times and stayed in different houses/apartments over the years. Simons house was lovely, it was spotless inside & out. The kitchen was very well equipped, the lovely welcome pack was a nice touch. Beds very comfortable. Plenty of DVD's/CD's etc. TV did have some English channels but we didn't bother. Location really good, 5 minutes walk to shops/bars/restaurants & the bus/land train stop Communication with Simon (owner) & Alison who met us with the keys was brilliant. A very lovely house & we will definitely be back again soon. Thanks for a lovely stay on

Es war sehr schön ,in dem ferienhaus war alles vorhanden was man benötigt ,der pool direkt vor der tür (die kinder konnten alleine dorthin und wir konnten sie von der terasse aus sehen ). Die gesamte anlage war sehr sauber und geplegt . Zum strand waren es ca 10 min zu fuss der köntakt mit dem gastgeber und dem schlüsselhalter hat hervorragend geklappt. Es war einfach toll wir kömmen gerne wieder liebe grüße:)

De vakantiewoning was compleet. Twee badkamers, woonkamer, keuken twee slaapkamers en terras boven en daarboven nog een dakterras. Alhoewel we de Hostess niet gezien hebben heeft ze ons uitstekende constructies gegeven waar we de sleutels konden vinden. Er waren zelfs boodschappen voor ons gedaan. Geweldig! Om de hoek (waar de sleutel hing) was een winkel waar ze ook een heerlijk ontbijt en koffie serveerden. Wij hebben daar elke mogen ontbeten. Kortom een ideale plek voor een korte vakantie

Bonjour nous avons passé un agréable moment dans votre location.Merci pour l l'acceuil chaleureux de Alison,vraiment une femme très agréable ,souriante,très gentille .Très belle maison située vraiment à côté de la magnifique piscine qui a été toujours bien entretenue.la maison est vraiment fonctionnelle très bien meubler et équipée,wifi,lit et canapé très confortable. Each of our holiday properties in Spain, France and Florida USA is owned by a member of the Steiner family, and we enjoy each house for our own holidays with family and friends.
Our houses are very much a "home from home", and each has been chosen by us for their own specific location.
We make regular inspection/maintenance visits to each property, and have an English-speaking keyholder who lives locally and who manages the property in our absence.
She prepares the house and meets/greets you on your arrival, and is available to assist you (if needed) during your stay.
Our keyholder is also a very useful source of local information that will make your stay even more enjoyable - please do ask them about the best restaurants, street markets, local festivals and fiestas!!.

Why they chose this property

Our house is on the established Monte y Mar development at Gran Alacant with south-facing views from the large rooftop sun terrace over the communal gardens and large pool, and with vistas inland toward the rugged mountains around Alicante.
We enjoy the ambiance of the area, which offers the best of a seaside holiday without being in the resort itself. It is only a few minutes walk to a large selection of bars, restaurants and small shops, with a road-train that takes you either to the large Commercial Centre or down to the coast at Las Arenales, with it's tree-lined promenade, expansive sand dunes and excellent beach.
It is also just 10 minutes by car, taxi or local bus either to the larger resort of Santa Pola with its restaurants, bars, marina and fishing fleet, or into the large resort of Alicante itself.

What makes this property unique

We very much enjoy the vibrancy of staying at this house. The area has an excellent climate, very hot in summer [we have air-con!!] and warm days from February through to late October.
We have Spanish neighbours all around who are most welcoming and friendly - it is very easy to become immersed into their Mediterranean lifestyle during your stay!!.
Our house is south-facing and overlooks the communal pool, with its landscaped gardens and shady trees. It is only a minute to the pool from the large front terrace/patio or expansive rooftop sun terrace, where it is pleasant to have drinks or to eat out later in the day.
Our house is therefore ideal for families with children, to enjoy the pool and gardens, for going down to the beach, or for venturing further to busier nearby resorts.
It is also just 10 to 15 minutes by car or local taxi to Alicante Airport - but without being on the flight path for the airport.
