Fantastic cottage to stay in cosy, comfortable plenty of space everything you need, amazing hosts. Great place to stay and explore Cornwall. If you dont want to cook great pub in the village serving good food. We will be back at some point loved it that much.
Beautiful cottage close to many north Cornish resorts
Cottage was beautifully maintained with a lovely quirky layout.
Very attractive gardens
The cottage was incredibly well provisioned with high quality equipment
An excellent stay
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage in 2020 so much that we returned this year. The cottage is very cosy and quirky, we love the garden but potential visitors should be aware of steep steps up to the garden.
Photos of this cottage don't do it justice. Its so full of character, and surprises, as rooms lead onto more rooms. It is equipped with everything you could want. The garden is
very private and mature with a choice of seating options. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful and although they live nearby were never intrusive. I can highly recommend this property for a visit to Cornwall.
Great location for visiting surrounding places. Quirky but cosy cottage with everything needed. Di was on hand whenever needed and sorted any issues immediately.
Church view is a lovely cottage in a quiet but friendly village.
I don’t believe the photos online do the property justice. It’s traditional design and decor make it feel cosy and welcoming. The hosts are very friendly and available throughout.
I would highly recommend church view if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay.
We had a lovely autumn break at Church View which exceeded expectations. Communication with the owner was excellent and to discover a generous cream tea and fresh flowers awaiting our arrival was the perfect start to our holiday. We can’t wait to book again and hopefully at a time when the weather is kinder and we can make full use of the lovely private garden.
We were warmly welcomed with clotted cream, scones and cookies. The cottage was perfect and had everything we needed with a beautiful garden. Lots of lovely walks and beaches in the area. We really enjoyed our stay.
Pleasantly surprised by the leafy garden and sheltered terrace for alfresco meals under the Cornish sunshine. Cottage was pretty and comfortable. Pleased the owners also love dogs! The church bells on Sunday were charming; only the locals were even more charming. Pearl’s 89th birthday at the cottage opposite was celebrated by the whole village. How sweet! Overall good value and not overpriced given the location (unlike some cottages).
Lovely, clean well maintained cottage with a beautiful garden. Completely secure so safe for dogs. A drive 10 minutes takes you to lots of village/coastal walks/. Owner communicated thoroughly prior to our holiday and handed over the key and we wasn’t disturbed all week and had everything we needed.
Lovely cottage with everything that was needed for our stay. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Check in was easy as was checking out. The village is friendly and the pub is well worth a visit. Loved it
Lovely peaceful cottage, perfect setting in small village near to shop, cafe and pub. Owners were incredibly helpful, even to helping us out with emergency tick removal device for the dog. Beautifull garden to relax in, comfy bed and everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. We had a lovely break!
Absolutely excellent property, Dianne & Trish were there for anything we needed. Very clean
We could not have asked for a better property for our recent holiday. Dianne & Trish go above and beyond to make their gorgeous cottage homely, everything in the cottage was so lovely especially the wonderful garden that my wife fell in love with. Set in St Teath it was a fantastic opportunity to explore north and south Cornwall. I would highly recommend this lovely cottage.
We had a lovely time at this cottage. It has everything that you need and is like a home from home, it was really cosy and close to all the attractions. The garden is delightful and we loved eating out there. The local butcher is great and we had a delicious Sunday roast and there were plenty of trays and pans to cook it. The village is really sweet, good pub, people were friendly and the owners were really helpful.
Great property, really clean, well equipped with lots of character. Diane was very welcoming.
The pub in the village also does wonderful home cooked meals.
We were so in need of a relaxing break. This fitted the bill perfectly, either staying in and sitting by the log fire and also served as a great location for the beach and restaurants. Dianne and Trish proved to be the perfect hosts. We will return!
The property was excellent clean and tidy it was a warm cosy feeling as you went through the door.
The property was excellent in every way, and Dianne was at hand if you did have a problem.
The local pub, lovely food and great atmosphere, Barry the owner loves dogs and gives them treats.
The cottage is central to the most of Cornwall.
Although the week we booked consisted of mainly heavy rain, this cottage was a delight to get back inside and light the log fire and get all dry, warm and cosy. When we did venture into the garden it was very interesting with lots of different and unusual plants. The cottage was very clean and has been fitted out to a very high standard. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay in North Cornwall.
The cottage was a beautiful, clean, old yet fully modernised property. It had everything we needed for a great week from BBQ to Dishwasher. Thanks to Dianne for the flowers in the rooms and a welcome pack of a few groceries (everything for a cream tea). Great location for lots of great beaches and days out,
Dianne and Trisha's cottage is lovely. It was very clean and homely. My children and mother in law loved the beautiful garden. The village is ideally located to visit many of the tourist locations, but also allowed us to 'get away from it all' at the end of the day. As a nurse I feel that the owners have done everything possible to make the property COVID secure. Thank you for a amazing holiday.
Dianne looked after us really well- she was very conscientious about Coronavirus cleaning, quick and helpful in response to queries, and a lovely personal touch. The cottage is homely and quirky, in a great location.
Cottage nice and cosy and surprisingly spacious. We Loved the flagstone floors and log burner. Back garden is a great little sun trap in the mornings we managed to sit out under the canopy despite the weather being rainy during our week stay in July. The Cottage is within easy reach of the north Cornwall coastline. We enjoyed the stay and would recommend.

About the host
Hosted by Dianne Cox
Di and Trish (we are sisters) have owned Church View for 6 years. Having holidayed in the local area, since childhood, with our parents, the North Cornwall area has always been very dear to our hearts. We have just returned from the Middle East, and are, at long last, enjoying a lifelong dream in this lovely village, where the warmth and welcome from the local residents has been unbelievable.
Church View is a wonderful old cottage which was in desperate need of a total overhaul when we purchased it. In the last two years, it has been completely renovated and is now a much-loved, comfortable, cosy home. We have left it well equipped, and sincerely hope you will enjoy your stay in it. Please look after it for us, and leave it in the same condition in which you find it upon arrival.
Why they chose this property
Having holidayed in the area for 50 years, it has been a lifelong dream to live in this beautiful, rugged part of North Cornwall. St Teath is in a perfect position to enjoy the many, varied delights of the area. Close to the coast and the popular village of Port Isaac (Doc Martin's home), it is still very much a living, country village, within easy reach of, yet away from, the crowds and bustle of the popular tourist destinations.
